It's a great feature youtube allows, I'm glad I'm partner now because being able to upload your own thumbnail can certainly be an advantage, it can be A LOT more eye catching.

Most of the "partners" with custom thumbnails are showing not related photo, for example tits, accidents or whatever... and then i click it and see no tits or accident.. thise partners get thousands or millions of views while no partners are struggling to get 10 views a day. This confirms the theory that poor people will stay poor, while rich people will stay rich or get even more rich.I would love to see a custom thumb for all youtubers! or at least allow us to choose 10 and not 3 blurry thumbs
OR, you could do it the way I did it with the Shia Labeouf zombified vid, the thumbnail is there, but you don't notice a pic coming to attack you from the middle of nowhere. :)

Here is how you do it in 2010:
Tutorial:
When you have your final time on your video (In seconds), divide the time with one of these numbers:
1. 3.09597523
2. 2.85080773
3. 1.44869215
Why? Your video gets a thumbnail from 3 places, and this is where they will show up.
Example: My vid is 5:04:08 Thats 304,08 seconds divided by 3.09597523 = 98.2178401 <----- Here is your thumbnail!

That's too bad. Can't get the point of not allowing anyone to upload their own thumbnails...
I mean, if the 3 thumbnails Youtube picks for you looks bad, your video will be screwed... and then you can't be a partner if your videos is super good, but the thumbnails ruins them from people to watch them...
