I hope this is in a future Fallout game.

  • This would make good Fallout soundtrack.

  • Ironic how her name is Lesley GORE, and this song is about Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows.

    IRONIC, I SAY.

  • Back in those days music was all about making people feel good and no one did it better than Lesley Gore.

  • hahahah those guys in the back. they smiled so much their cheeks swelled up

  • This song is always fun to hear.

  • Went to one of her shows a couple of years ago. She added another verse to the song when she performed it during the show because, as she said, she felt she owed her fans the second half of the song!

  • I love how her last name is gore.

  • Everytime I hear it I think of when it falls down the goodies from the sky from the film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

  • Tonights all about...

  • Imagine this playing in a zombie armegeadon...

  • @KevSen01 I woke up this morning and I dreamed about a apokalypse... Did anyone thought about being stupid if you try to survive? I mean, in the end of apokalypse you're the one who must tidy up all the corpses and zombies and everything. Dude, I'd rather die than tidy up the whole world for the rest of my life...

  • what is she wearing?

  • @Tangerines13 Self confidence, knowing that she is so beautiful she can wear a trash bag and look like a model compared to your fatass.

  • @Tangerines13 Clothes

  • I love this song...eventho i was born in the 90's i still love listening to music from the 60s XD

  • Live performance everyone!! Thank you actual musicians and/or artists. >_<

  • Her voice sounds kinda thin live without her signature double-tracked vocals.

Not to say she's not a good singer - she is that.

  • @fosbury68 That's a natural singing voice. Compared to all the auto-tuned songs that are around today, it's hard to appreciate the natural beauty of an amazing singer like her.

  • @justdoingbussness

Obviously it's her natural singing voice. But on ALL her hit recordings Quincy Jones used a double-tracked vocal for Leslie. I was just observing that her live voice sounded thin compared to her signature vocal sound from her hits. Quincy was no fool - that double-tracking was a big part of what made those songs into hits.

Not criticizing her singing at all. A very strong voice that just happened to lend itself to double-tracking. The proof is in the grooves.

  • Hey, it's a GREAT song !

  • I play call of duty to this song

  • @xbananaBANDITx haha omfg XD

  • @xbananaBANDITx Marry me? lol. Cutest thing everrrrr.♥

  • I really love this stuff. I was about 7 when this came out on 45s. Sometimes I really miss my childhood. LOL.

  • I meant "My Boy Lollipop" in my post below..Sorry for the typo.

  • Fans, don't forget "My By Lollipop" by Millie Small just about the same time in the mid 60's.

  • scary!

  • She's only 19 years old here - great voice!

  • Lol..

  • such a bright and nice classic :) 60's music is a big part of my life. Think that is unsual for a sixteen year old. n_n

  • wOw this sOng iis old! yeah!

  • Toms heeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is really cool.....not only do I remember singing this song as a kid when Lesley Gore released it but I loved watching Shindig. I loved the '60s....such a cool period to come of age. I also like the fact that Gore actually sang the song and didn't appear to"lip sync". Thanks for the post.

  • A remix today to this song would be hoes, money, and drugs

  • O.O i'm glad i grew up in the 90's it would be nice for singers today to bring a lil old school flavor now and again to release us from the horrors of autotune

  • i don't like this really. she sings it differently than she did on the record. i grew up listening to the record version of course, so that is my preference.

  • EDDSWORLD

  • @MusikTomit Jeeeeee

  • ok, i need to make a retraction right now. i said that 'you don't own me' was my favorite, but i was wrong. ok it's "maybe i know" so please make note of that.

  • LESLEY GORE rocks ~ she's astonishingly well poised for such a young person here (in her teens) and she could belt out a song next to more Seasoned pro's - she was and is an Impressive talent!

  • This song, This Song, This Song... :))) Luv iiiiiiiit <3

  • ma quant'è carina questa canzone XD

  • I love this song, I doubt if there is any other as happy as this!!! :)

  • I think Bob Dylan's cover was better.

  • Da war die Welt noch in Ordnung und nicht so verdorben und schlecht wie heute...

  • happy bday no such this as retirement

  • Happy 65th, Lesley!

  • I recently had the pleasure of seeing LG in concert. Great show! She opened with this song.

  • Wow..........what a pretty woman :)

  • Nowadays , a grown woman wouldn't dare sing a song like that... Unless she ran a daycare. This is a great song I love anything that has to do with the 60s!!! Why did I have to be born in the 90s? Lol oh well.

  • @MrsBeatleLover05 Thats what I am speaking about! (In other words I agree)

  • @MrsBeatleLover05 Not really! I know a couple of ladies who sung it at karaoke. It is kind of a corny song huh? This song is a reflection of a day and time much more innocent at heart than all the shock treatment culture and music of today. I'm one of those old school guys who believes that the best of humanities music, film, arts and basic human character is behind us. I pray that I am wrong! My advice; always enjoy music. No matter what era or how corny! God bless you!

  • @MrsBeatleLover05 That was a very funny and clever comment (I was born in 1955. lol)

  • @MrsBeatleLover05 At least you are young and have the ability to appreciate what probably none of us realized was the greatest time to be alive in America! There were a lot of problems, but looking back I wish I had appreciated it more at the time. Lots of memories today though!!

  • @MrsBeatleLover05 isn't this a 70s song?

  • @DuhuKaralius no, it's mid sixties.

  • @DuhuKaralius no, it's mid sixties.

  • @MrsBeatleLover05 I love your comment. Though i was a kid during those times i remember the songs well. The girls dancing like that in modest skirts would also be though of as performing some ancient historical custom. Those of us who compare the two periods and lived thru them, wistfully look back to something better.

  • @MrsBeatleLover05 I know right

  • Not a lip synch. Awesome. Now more than ever, the world needs Leslie Gore.

  • Bless you nyrainbow! When I met Lesley Gore all I could say was that her music brought me more joy than I could say. Your clips do the same. THANK YOU!!!

  • Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows,

Everything that's wonderful is what I feel when we're together,

    Brighter than a lucky penny,

When you're near the rain cloud disappears, dear,

And I feel so fine just to know that you are mine.

My life is sunshine, lollipops and rainbows,

That's how this refrain goes, so come on, join in everybody!

    Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows...

  • Saw her for the last time on the "Joey Bishop Show," when she commented on the use of grass (pot). Bishop didn't respond well to her views, and LG was off the air for years later. Bishop was such an asshole!

  • @xXNuclearWarXx me too!

  • @xXNuclearWarXx - lmfao!!

  • AAAARRRRRGGGHHHHH......the nice hurts my ears!! :)

  • @jramirez10 :D lawl, i watch Cloudy with a chance of meatballs over and over again so i know all the words to the year 2000 one

  • ok 60er eben xDDD aber ihre augen *_*

  • I'm fond of saying "well, right now life isn't sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows" (or it IS sunshine, lollipops and rainbows). Apparently, this song was recorded in 1963 and it became a rather unlikely hit (it's very short) two years later...

  • Wow, der song is voll cool (: Ich mag den voll (:

  • @louandgurki i think you meant: " wow, that song is really cool ! (: laughing my ass off (: right?

  • @m1kewithaone: not exactly, i meant also that i like it much.. ;) but the rest is allright ^^

  • @louandgurki ooohhh!! ok. that's what i thought you said! :D

  • 1960 sucks

  • LUV THIS SONG

  • This song picks me up when I'm feeling down. And only Lesley can sing this song

and make me feel HAPPY and today its raining, but now I feel like the SUN is out.

    Thank you Lesley,

    sharon in dallas

  • niceto play ona rainy day and any day
