This animation was done by virtual republic animation and visual effects. We have to thank Axel Eckstein, Creative Director at EURO RSCG for his very good creative lead and EURO RSCG, Zürich for this special unique experience. As president of virtual republic I have to thank my team for the great work.
This mission was a big challange because what looks simple 3D rendered at the first glance contains a strong and complex technical setup to offer flexibilty for agency comments and the creative lead and gave the artists the freedom to keep control over changes and improvements within the mission schedule.
ZKO Rollercoaster is a good example for: the idea/concept rules. Always! Then you need a talented and strong experienced team with different specializations for the secondary step: to visualize the idea right and perfect.
We had to use the 1rst violin of the 2nd symphony, 4th movement of the score by Ferdinand Ries (1784-1838). We wished we had a main more clear melody version of the whole score to make the notes 100% perfect readable at every second of the animation.
Astonishing! Absolutely fantastic, this is an animation that will be remembered by its viewers. Very good promotion material for the ZCO.
@helleeno: I think this piece is a snippet from a larger piece, and I guess it is written by Beethoven, or at least, it is written in his style, recognizable by the orchestration, the aggressive ending, and the napolitan 6th chord at the second bar and other modulations. (Earlier composers wouldn't write them like that).
Holy shit! That was awesome!!!!!!

What you see in the animation is perfect timed on the beats and the 1st violin. But all the nice comments here prove that we did it right. *:-)
ZKO Rollercoaster finally had won several awards up to the ADC NY Silver Cube.
We are happy, proud and looking forward to more missions like that.
