  • I have everything connected as ur video shows (laptop to tv with the 3 rca) the sound comes, but no video. I have the tv on the "line" channel which is what I use to play dvd. What could be the problem?

  • @jeaninetruly There are many times when using a laptop you need to hit a button combination on the keyboard to output the video. Often times it will be Fn + F5 but every laptop is different. So it will simply be Fn+ (key with monitor picture on it)

  • Both. All you need is a VGA port. Your computer monitor that is most likely already using your VGA port will then plug into the VGA port on the TVdeck instead. You will be able to get the image on your TV without losing your monitor.

  • can i do this on my desktop, or is it just for laptops

  • do the videos lag when you play them from pc to tv and if i play online games on my pc will they work good on my tv and not lag?

  • @dragonicmight There isn't any appreciable lag but this is a VGA to RCA converter so the maximum resolution it can output is 480i. 480i is a much lower quality signal than HD video or even the resolutions that VGA is capable of.

  • This thing looks awesome. I'm gonna order one.

  • So I'm guessing you can't play a console on your monitor with this?

  • @wollclark It will work with any device that has a "VGA out" video port and it must support the resolutions stated on our product page.

  • My video card, Nvidia 6200 (AGP 8x) has a video output for a TV etc but the resolutions are awful and make it impossible to use a TV for anything but videos. Does this adapter fix that?

  • @MorkaGraven I am sorry but since you are converting from a high resolution display from your monitor down to a standard definition TV, as in 480i, the resolution will not be nearly as good as your computer monitor. The drop in quality is linked directly with the type of connection so there really is no way to get a better picture with this type of conversion. Check out or video on tweaking the settings to make the best picture possible.

  • @sewelldirect ..Hi there, i needed some advice on this product, i have on board graphics on my dell 3100c, could this product work for me or do i need a better graphics card for a bigger tv? I've read in some places that onboard makes no difference with these types of soft wares and some say it does, any advice would be nice.

  • @bagshitass Your graphics card won't make much of a difference at all as long as it's outputting a standard VGA signal. Any extra quality from a nicer graphics card is lost since RCA as a signal format is only capable of carrying a 480i signal.

  • @sewelldirect ...Thanks.

  • What is the back thing next to the AV imput do ? I ask cause its not used and its never explained

  • @413punk I'm assuming you are talking about the circular S-Video output. That is just another output option that can be used. You would simply need to purchase an S-video cable to connect this to your TV.(However, no audio is transferred through S-Video)

  • Yes this does work with a non HDTV as well as HD. Anything that has either the S-Video ports or standard RCA.

  • Does it work with a non-HDTV?

  • Nice stuff. I might get this.

  • hi, im having a problem, im not sure if its the device or what, but, when i press my Fn+F4 which should switch to external moniter like u do at 0:55 and 1:03, however, nothing happens, audio works, but video remains to show the test screen (colored bars)

the only way i have seeen to fix this is the restart my computer, but its annoying to have to restart my laptop everytime i want to use this

  • Will this work with the Eyeclops Mini projecter?

  • @rthorner1 You should be able to use the Eyeclops Mini projector with the PC to TV Converter, if you do, most likely you will want to turn you computers resolution down to 640x480 or the lowest resolution possible because the Eyeclops is not have a very high resolution.

  • What if the all-in-one cable breaks?

Do I have to buy a new one?

  • @hyperipod Technically you would have to get a new one because the cables are attached, either that or open it up by hand and try to fix it. However the cables are pretty securely mounted on them making it pretty difficult to break. Also they come with 1 year warranties so, nothing to worry about.

  • It's really helpful that you guys include videos for some of your products rather than just pictures or text descriptions. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I wish more companies would do the same.

  • can i use it if i only have a CPU alone I have no Monitor and can it work on any TV

  • @gtflavourcom Yes this can be used as the primary display, and nearly all TVs have the RCA inputs necessary to use with this adapter. However, normal text sizes in windows will be difficult to read over this adapter. We recommend setting the computer resolution to 800 x 600 and setting the system fonts to large. You can also change some settings on the PC to TV converter to make text more legible.

  • Thanks for the video, I'm definitely buying this thing soon. Rather have that than a Roku or Apple TV. Especially cool is that coupled with the Free/Open Source RemoteDroid for Android, I can control the tv (computer) from the couch. Pretty exciting

  • how much is Sewell PC to TV - SW-23000?

  • Does it support 16:9 resolution or blocked to 4:3

  • gnaa.... 4:3 resolutions these days?

  • does it work on xbox360

  • @pickalin1 Of course not!

  • cool
