The Wii version is the best with updated graphics & audio. Not only that, all the games are on 1 disc and it's in 480p. Low HD but still as clear as eye sight. I like the GBA versions personally and both New SMB's for the DS & Wii are the (best).

They could have done better. That disk can fit a whole bunch of games. I mean remember when Zelda had an anniversary like 8 years ago, and they have a bundle if you buy a Gamecube, you get a Zelda Collection. Which has The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II The adventure of Link. Ocarina of Time, Majora's mask, A demo of Wind Waker. And a history of Zelda games. Only on 1 little Gamecube disk....Something tells me that Nintendo focuses more on Zelda than their mascot Mario.

Shit!! I wish I would've known about all stars for wii. I just downloaded super Mario bros 3. And just like the NES version, poop graphics, and no saving points.

I could've avoided that frustration.

This brings back memories. I had the original all stars. Hell! I had the original Mario bros.

However, I do agree, a "new" all stars should've included up to atleast yoshis island. Even mario 64 really. For 49$, that's a win / win.

I didn't even know this existed but putting a Virtual Console game on a disc is a really fucking lazy way to "celebrate Mario's 25th anniversary." They should have AT LEAST done a remake, (like how All-Stars is a remake of the NES games itself) and where's Super Mario World? I know that not all All-Stars carts had SMW, but in the year 2010 when this was released, if you were gonna slap an emulated SNES game on a disc, why not the one that had SMW??

This originaly released in 1993 on the super nintendo later on they added on super mario world for the snes. on the wii version it has updated graphics and no super mario world. i think nintendo should make all of the super mario games in one.

This was my favorite game when I was a kid, I was going to buy a Wii console, just to play this game again. However, when I found out it was pretty much the same thing as the SNES version, I was frusterated. In Super Mario Brothers 2, you are sent back to the very beginning of the playthrough when all your lives are up. I was hoping they'd add more mini-games and change that, so I could start where I left off and try again. Nintendo should have asked Mario veterans what they wanted 4 the Wii.

The cool thing is you can play Super Mario All-Stars Wii with a real SNES and NES controller on Wii if you go to the Retrozone Website (Goolge it) and purchase a Wii SNES or NES Retroport a controller converter adapter that plugs into the Wii's Gamecube ports and the Wii Retroport can be used on NES and SNES Wii Virtual Console games,and a few D-pad Wii and Gamecube compatible games like Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: and Soul Calibur 2 as well as the Gamecube Gameboy Player too.

What a disappointment. There was so much more that could've went into this.

A ROM dump of an SNES game. No graphical enhancements or new features.

-A Soundtrack CD with copypasta music. No remixes or anything. You know those -Mario arrange soundtracks you never released outside of Japan, Nintendo? That would've been nice to get here.

-A booklet that tells you nothing interesting.

But like Megamormonman said, suckers will grab this up anyway.

This seems really sloppy and lazy to me too. If they were going to have an anniversary collection, they should have had as many games as possible. There's no reason not to have included Super Mario World, and even Mario 64 in a new collection.

On top of that, the SNES versions of these old NES games aren't as good as the originals. The 8-bit music sounds better, and Mario 2 in particular is practically unplayable on SNES. Too slippery.

@homer4556 Meh it's come with an mario history booklet and an music collection of various mario games with the game. Booklet isn't that much to look at but the cd is pretty great. I think this is more a item for collectors. And no way to updating the graphics, it's a piss off that they updated original mario graphics for the original mario all stars in the first place,
