  • Wow, you work pretty fast with that old setup. Awesome work! Most people have issues with repo men, those same people are the ones who dont pay their car note.

  • nice necklace

  • And with the truck in gear in 4X4 the break on and the wheels turned your fucked you wont get anywhere with that piece of shit. All repo pussies are scum

  • you should learn how to edit videos..

  • @SeaSickDrop You should shut the fuck up & enjoy the video...

  • @kayslaay suck my fat white dick you stupid son of a bitch, i wasnt talking to you so shut the fuck up and mind your own damn biusness. fucking cunt.

  • That's a Hell of a Ford truck you got there!

  • is that an illusion type?

  • u use alot of electric tapee

  • can the stright slings ruin the bumper on vehicles?

  • Who pays for the damage he does to the vehicles he gets?

  • @Rebelwon insurance , not him he get paid to get the truck no matter what but they pay for the damage.

  • Good Repo, Rick. I've been in the biz for over five years, and we both can appreciate a quick, easy hit like that one. If only they were all that easy, we would all be so much safer on the job(lol)-Krakker

  • you can add a diamaic underreach unit on to the same truck for low clearence repos

  • I'M REPOING UR SHIT U CHEEP MOTHERFUCKA

  • I have a question. Is it legal to remove a vehicle from a driveway that does not have a gate ? If there is a gate can they open it ? If the gate is locked can they remove the lock or mess with the gate to remove the vehicle ? This is in california.

  • who do you give the vehicles to after you repo them?

  • i enjoy your car robbing! so when u steal one, u just tell the police u did it and give it back or how does it work when u steal the car

  • @keanuronaldo Thinly veiled insult. Repossession; he is hired by the finace company.

  • @keanuronaldo I have no experience in repo but uh, why, would you prefer the police were reponsible for repo? I mean, theyre not busy chasing around criminals, and coming to help your sorry ass when somebody breakin in....

Repo a car thats not paid for is not theft, these ppl dont own the car in the first place because they havent paid for it. no "stealing" involved.

  • isnt the boom thing the rubber things i dont know what its really called but doesnt that damage like normal bumpers?

  • Jason J Cruz

So the bomey is the same for repo's. Lou has the Ford F350 disel is that a better truck to use? Lou said there is a weight limit because the bomey can break. Lou has to hook up chains that can be used to right. were do the cars go? Lizard lick towing and recovery they have a big lot office l

  • You are awesome. What do you thinkof operation repo? As you know Matt and froy quiet working for Lou. Matt brought a old truck to repo him and Froy. How come Lou has to hook up to a car and use changes every time to keep the car hooked up thebthe lift.

    Jason j cruz

  • Is the rig custom build for you? Thats fast ;) I like it.

  • How do you get a job in this industry, I've always wanted to be a repo man. Any suggestions?

  • robot stole my ram!!!

  • Low budget truck, high quality tactics...lol

    Cam

  • was this near Anthem or New River, AZ?

  • beautiful !!!!!

  • nice vid

  • Good job Rick.

    Tom

    Marin County Ca.

  • nice....................................

  • If you don't work for repo do you need a license to tow? plz get back to me

  • you should get a cordless remote to get the boom down

  • grrrr, looking for more repo footage but the "repo man" movie keeps coming up in all the searches, youtube nobody is watching that shit, grrrrr

  • what is the tow thing called

  • how much does the average repo man make ?

  • cool videos man

  • sounds like your hydraulics are just about maxed out with that pull... ever thought of upgrading the pump?

  • i want to be a repo man how do i start

  • good way to steel some cars :P lmao

  • fail

  • what are you talking about, your from fucking jersey.. you dicksmacks steal out of the cars you take back... you probably jealous and have an older, more outdated tow truck anyways..

  • Hey RR, I have a question. I just bought a used sling unit made by DetroitWrecker. Not from them but made by them. My question that they are vague on is how to properly install the unit. I know it goes to the trucks frame but will I need some kind of spacers/blocks between the bed and frame ??? Like a shim for the bolts. How long are the bolts ??? To the top of the C lip on the frame or all the way to the bottom aswell. Going on my 09 F450 dually 4x4 diesel auto crew cab long bed. Thanks

  • bad ass. raw bones with the tape job. Nice using the safety pins.... I'm still watching you are at 2:30 min. Pretty cool. Cooler would have been if you were whispering into the camera, then drove backward a long distance to grab the repo, then hauled out like you did. Would have liked some commentary while driving away, like "yee-haw!" ... ok, that was too much :-) Keep it man, you rule!

  • Nice video!! Can that lift on small cars? And do they make one for a 2005 F-250? need some info, I'm in Philly.

  • Yeah, it can!

And yes, they make that for a 2005 F-250.

It's just a frame of a unit, and you have to drill the holes necessary in your unit in order to bolt the unit down to the frame of your truck...

  • Thanks for the info man!!

  • No Problem! Any other questions? Shoot me a message..

  • you are the man!!! awesome vids

  • he is gonna tape me up? thats pretty kinky

  • badass.

  • Man that one wags like a dog at first!

  • I watch operation repo, compared to rick they are a joke!! why don't they have equipment like this!! Great video's!!

  • Man, Operation Repo is a joke. The first season seemed legit but as the shows continued, the stories kept getting more and more unbelievable.

  • operation is fake/reenactments of repos

  • Have you ever used a sling on a ford focus ? I did once and it pushed the bumper in to the radiator . The car was going for junk but I know now to never try it on a customers car . They seem vary weak in the front end .

  • Hey Rich, I am a repo guy in Australia and just love you videos man. Real repo action. I am looking at getting a sling or Wheel lift. Leaning to the sling as we have a lot of AWD here but we do not have slings here so can you tell me does the sling ever damage plasitc bumpers on newer cars?. How do you stop it if it does? Thank You and great video's mate.

  • yes they will mess up some plasitc while it is on the truck but when you take it off you can pull it back stright. there is no good way to stop it from doing it but if you would put 4x4 post on top of the chains under the car it helps to get it up higher and some what off the straps hope this helps you ive been repoing for 20 years and 5 or 6 of them with the same rich has

  • hey how would a guy get into doing this repo stuff ? i have allways been interested in it just don't know how to get involved

  • I would say first and foremost is you MUST be a "people person" to the extent that you will need to talk your way out of a bad situation because that will happen sooner or later - remember if the cops come, the repo man will loose in most jurisdictions. Try to find an already operating repo company and try to get on with them. That way, you don't need to get bonded, high risk insurance, etc all by yourself.

  • What if they left the transfer case in 4 wheel drive and obviously put the transmission in park! then you came to repo it?

  • Made me think of the Older European SAAB 90L

It had its parking brakes on the front wheels hehe

  • hook up to it with a sling lift pop off the shifter cable on side of the transmisson put it in N and roll out all the tires will still turn but you can pull it that way. this only works with a sling lift a wheel lift will not work like this.

  • what would you do if the truck is in 4WD low and the wheels cut all the way to one direction? will u call for a flat bed?

  • I would still pin it and go. Luckily my sling will allow the rear wheels to spin so it would swing out hard to one side but I would get it away from the scene and then decide from there whether to two from the front and pop the linkage if no way to straighten the steering. RR A wheel lift trucks would need the tow dollies or a flat bed unless they disable the 4 wd first. RR

  • @Hockman72 people ask this on like all his videos. how many people have their truck in 4x4 all the time. true 4x4 can really be driven on dry pavement. only fulltime AWD.

  • @Hockman72 you drag the crap out of it!

  • lol....do these people ever call the police to report their cars as stolen after you repo them?........

  • yea they do, but you report it to the police before or after your repo,

  • Hey boss.. after the repo. Years ago we tried the before thing but sometimes you didn't get it and then had to call em back and unreport the repo (or forget to call em back) anyway after is what I do! RR

  • Sure some do and the cops tell them it was repo'd. Most know though they just not sure when. Thanks for the comment! RR

  • northeast... Is that Cave Creek?

  • Pretty close it was off 12th street and north of carefree hwy a few miles up where they trun to dirt. you are pretty good man! RR

  • Would it work better if the pins were beveled???

  • Nah it is designed this way from the factory. they work great as is. RR

  • dude seriously??your not cool with that big medallion ,it looks ridiculous

  • Not meant to be cool man. Been wearing it long before repoing.. its a trade mark for a business. Thanks for the comment though!! RR

  • is that all u get is giveups?!?

  • Youre funny... watch some other vids and you'll get the idea. All vehs arent there for the taking and if not then you demand them and hopefully get them surrendered and get paid or else they pay current. So this started as a invol repo but was never seen to steal so demanding it got there! RR

  • I want to get in the repo business, how do I get my foot in the door.

  • I suggest checking ads for companies hiring or just call them and ask if hiring!! RR

  • Man I can dig what your doing.

Your starting with equipment that works.

Most guys get in the bizz and start out with new trucks ... with all the bells and whistles.

They are more worried about what they look like rolling down the road.

I have a feeling ..... Your going to do great at this and have a whole freakin fleet of trucks, of all different sizes.

    Like the Vids man.

    Later .

    BirdDog

    Nashvegas, Tennessee.

  • Right on man! I appreciate it. You know I never have wanted to have a lot of trucks matter of fact never to be big, just successful and very good at it. Haven't had any employees since late 2007 and it has been better that way! RR

  • nice! i like your videos. interesting watching them. keep doing a god job! :)

  • Thanks prankster!! You are cool your self. Glad you like my show! RR

  • I deffintly agree, you should put some mounts on the back box, and maybe one on the dashboard or maybe the passanger window so CG can drive and get some great footage. Probably wouldn't take very long ot cost much to rigg up something sturdy and small. None the less, great repos and keep the videos coming!

  • Yeah youre right would take too much. Just have liked the way it all came to play just one day I threw it up (well taped it up) and here we are! Thanks for the advice.. RR

  • nice repo very smooth!!!

  • Hey thanks for checking it out! RR

  • sweet repo !

    clean and quick

    and nice camera ..no vibration

but you should make a mount instead of tape

  • I know... don't use it much anymore since CG jumped in to do my filming.. But there is still a time here or there. I will one of these days!! Thanks for the comment and for watching too!

    RR

  • you need a autoloader much safer and less damage !

  • Yup I hear that a lot! Net truck will have both!

    RR

  • That's a nice setup..much safer since you don't have to get out at the scene. Well as long as the vehicle has a metal bumper as you said. I've never seen anyone tow off a vehicle that quick! Nice work! Stay safe out there!

    -Dustin

  • Thanks D, it is ideal for those situations especially but good all the way around!!

Thanks for watching and the comments!

    RR

  • Son right there is what you call a Professional Hooker :)

  • I like it put that way! Cool.. funny, but cool..

    RR

  • Then you haven't seen my videos...

  • man from the way ur truck squats u should git a new 1 lol

  • i think he just needs a couple extra leaf springs in the back his truck looks heavy duty.

  • It is HD, just stock and not a dually but it is a one ton!

    RR

  • Soon.. real soon!! Thanks for watching!!

    RR

  • wat r ads

  • Cool.. may sound confusing but real simple!! Take care man!!

    RR

  • Really? They go underneath and behind a metal bumber 9so the bumper is sitting on the end of the boom) and you lift and it lifts the vehicle then you split the scene. get somewhere safe and let it down and hook with the J-hooks to tow it home.

    RR

  • thats hella cool and clean!

  • Hey hey thank you my friend!!

    RR

  • LOL... sorry boss! Click em and they go away and I make a few cents.

    RR

  • i will definitly follow this up ^^ good work!

  • Thanks... RR

  • Sweet

  • Why thank you!!

    RR

  • hey how much you think you make being a repoman, im personally thinkin about getting into the buisness it looks fun haha.

  • All depends how much you want to work or make. Also whether you work for a company of for your own company. You can make 1000 plus / week working for another company and be a go getter!! 4 or 5 times that and more if your own company however you do have quite a bit of overhead owning your own!

    RR

  • smooth, your lucky the steering wheel locked

  • Not sure that it did, cause I still had to strap it when I chained up! I think the dirt road helped give some instead of payment gripping the front tires and making it swing out! The rams mostly do not lock, at least not straight. Some of the heavy 3/4 and 1 tons aaren't as swinging though as 1500 are!

    RR

    RR

  • you forgot to say that if they lock to one side or the other the car is gonna follow of to one side and if its turned to much u cant go far it will go into the other lane or off the road

  • So right you are my friend! Happens all the time huh? lol... Thanks for covering that part for me too! Be safe out there!

    RR

  • unfortunatley, it does seem to happen alot. But sometimes I just have to turn the car around and if its a rear wheel drive I have to unhook the linkage but it aint much , sure you already knew that but just letting others know.

  • Absolutely darush.. that is right and you sure sound like you got it all down too! Thanks for sharing with the others as well!

    RR

  • yes it does matter if wheels are turned depending how much they are turned . but it would be like drivin a vehicle with four wheel sterring.

  • Exactly man!! Swinging every which way when you turn unless steering locks to one side! Thanks for covering that boss!!

    RR

  • Does it matter if the car your repoing has its wheels turned all the way to the right or left?

  • Sure it does, it makes the car swing that way when you go if it is the front wheels of a rear wheel drive vehicle (like swing into the other lane if really cranked to one side). Cops do not like the swing real bad so would have to hook it from the front and put it in neutral to tow it home. If it is a front wheel drive vehicle and they are cranked just drag it out and it drags straight! Flip around and hook the front and go.

    RR

  • cant get over the bling chain ether lol

  • Oh man... had it made years ago, it is the trademark for my Bad Boy Innovations bus. one of a kind in the world! Nothing for the repo vids I have literally been wearing it for almost 10 years now! Just me that's all it is..

    RR

  • no video but ill make one just for u! i dont think you could quick pin it. i tow it to pulls on a flatbed because its illegal to drive. it has dick cepek giant puller tires. built custom suspension for pulling. id love to see u try and tow it when im in it! or u cant whn im in it? im not paying for any damage tho

  • Hey boss.. no can't with someone in it, would be like kidnapping! But yeah if it is lifted there is no way to pin it but depending there maybe a way to sling it and chain from the axels like normal. Probably need a wheel lift though. Dude it sounds bad as Heck!!

    RR

  • id love to see u try and repo my 800hp 1100 ft lbs ford 4x4 built for pulls. get ownd? ill smash your teeth out and cut your hydro lines take your radio and cell phone then what u going to do? cry?

  • Nah, not sure I could pin your truck anyway sounds like it is lifted real high? Got a vid on it? Anyway thanks for watching and the comment!!

    RR

  • What do you think of that repo show on TV? Seems like those guys just play up the verbal physical confrontation for the cameras to me. There's got to be a safer more civilized way to do this job than threatening to mace folks and pushing people around.

  • Hey cn... well of course that is for entertainment only! Funny that it's on tru tv though huh? I hear so many things about it and it makes me continue on my course bringing the real life repos! Thanks for commenting my friend and have a great weekend!

    RR

  • Comment removed

  • no damage it slides though the hole in you bumper you know the chain hole that you use to secure a trailer the only bad thing is if you hit a big enough bump then it can jump off of those pins

  • That would be a crater maybe... that is pinned until away from the scene and then chained properly.. Thanks again for watching..

    RR

  • what about locking steering wheel

  • Oh yeah that gets done after a clean getaway if needed that is. Thanks for checking in!! have a great weekend.

    RR

  • Best damned car on the lot!

  • Oh yeah? I do hear that a lot. Thanks for watching and the comment!!

    RR

  • not be mean but your like DOG the REPO hunter! lol.

  • Hey bubba, no problem man, I have been called and compared to him plenty of times since posting my stuff on the tube. It's all good here. Thanks for watching!!

    RR

  • why dont you get a 2500 or a 3500 so that you can get bigger things and the truck you have now wont squat

  • Hey Jon my truck is a 3500!! Just not a dually and no extra suspension.. all stock. I will be getting dually by Jan 2010 so it will be setup better!!

    RR

  • oh it looks like a ford f-150

  • I know but its a 1 ton!!

    RR

  • Het RR, Good stuff, Can you send me the links to learn more about the quick pins and any other related collateral recovery info you can provide.

    Thanks

    kimosabi860

  • Hey thanks kimo... awesome stuff huh? Well go to my consulting site and hit me up there. I'll tell you anything you want to know!! Thanks for the comment.

    RR

  • Rich, this is awesome man! I just found you and after watching six of your vid's I googled repo-pins.?? Got nothing - then watched this one - Thanks for the lesson! This is great stuff - keep it up - day and night man! I'm gonna watch the rest - this looks fun.

  • No problem MFM... glad you find it entertaining and helpful!!

    RR

  • Looks like you need to upgrade your rear shocks and leaf springs to be able to haul these heavy trucks?

  • Nah... handles em okay for now. Duallies are the heaviest (well sprinters but those are far and few between). Thanks for watching and the tips too!!

    RR

  • Repo rich making it look easy again! Those quick pins sure do make it quick! Think I need a Job change! Just sold my Camaro and bought a Ram, (but its only a 1500 5.9, guess I'll need something bigger?!)

  • Oh sure man trade in thew 1500 for a 2500 or 3500 and get busy!! Or just becoma a spotter for some local companies where you live!!

    RR

  • ok here's my question, what do you do when the front wheels are turned in a rear wheel drive vehicle?

  • Well I turn the wheel straight and strap it, if locked to the side, I make a key for it. If I can't then I hook the front and pop the tranny in neutral underneath and tow home. There is a way to shft my sling to one side further and tow it dog legging down the street long as it doesn't take more than my full lane! Always a way!! Or take unit around the corner and go back and hit the door for the key!! Thanks for aksing man I love answering!!!

    RR

  • Hey RR ...I'mn ready to get started ......let me know where to sign up for the consulting ! Thanks Monte

  • Very good Monte... I sent the links to you and am very excited to get you rolling!!

    RR

  • great pic quality even with that rough road bro!!! i used to repo here in san antonio but never used them pins, always j-hooked on my illusions. sure would have avoided plenty of arguements with them!!! peace bro

  • Oh yeah peace to you too.. 210. Not repoing anymore?? The little cam is great pixels and all and does come in handy!

The pins as you said just add a little more quickness to it!! Thanks for watching and commenting!!

    RR

  • Nice vid bud..........how a repo should be done

  • Thanks a lot hannibal2203!

    RR

  • Hey RR ...can you tell me what brand / size lift you use ? I like the idea of having room for a toolbox ....most of the slide ins around me take up the whole 8' bed .

BTW ...waiting to hear from State on my license ....be in touch soon on the consulting . Thanks !

  • Alright Monte.... Illusion but I'll have to measure it and hit you back on the size..

    Peace now...

    RR

  • is it a good job????iv ben thinkin bout it!!

  • Well jump in man!! Plenty to go around. Love the ice sculptures vid...

    RR

  • SWEET!!!!!thanks man!!!im deff considering it...

just gotta get the money to get started!!!!

  • Is that the 1990 F350 with the 7.3 diesel? If so must be perfect for that job.

  • Actually 93 with 5.8l and it too is perfect for the job!!

    RR

  • Nice. Probably eats up more gas than the 7.3 Diesel. But I don't know if it'd be worth switching to. I'd stick with that. The straight six is also damn powerful. Has the same torque as te 302s.

  • hey repo Rich.

cane you get a video of how the pins look when you have the truck up and towing it away.

  • Should be one up somewhere.. I'll try to check or maybe have CG take one!

    RR

  • do those pins damage the bumper at all?

  • No if lifted right and has metal bumper!

    RR

  • Hey you forgot to VIN it... Wrong truck! lol

Get the pins and check the VIN...

  • That's never happened but would be bad!

    RR

  • What the maximum weight that can tow?

  • All the slings are different some couple tons to 4.5 tons as well as wheel lifts, then there is lift weight and tow weight!

    RR

  • Hey thats my Pickup! Grrrrr =x

  • Hey boston... thanks for watching man! You got nasty weather or what?? Be safe and Happy Holidays,

    RR
