@Dehydrate2store Hey :) Thank you so much for getting this message out there in time so people can prepare for things to come. I need your help, and I would be very grateful. I am a vegan, and I became vegan due to egg and dairy intolerances, it made more sense. I need to find a way of dehydrating fortified breakfast cereal. Is this possible? Thanks for the videos :)
I'm a little confused on what canneries are & what they sell there. Also, are there different types of canneries? Who is welcome into a cannery? Does it cost money to join one first?
This is almost my identical granola, except for the Chex cereal and the date sugar. I won't be adding the Chex, but I will try the date sugar. I finish mine with either sliced almonds/pecans and I use coconut and golden raisins as well... no bananas. It's one of my most requested gift foods. I also add about 1/2 cup powdered milk as well. (Pumpkins seeds go well, too.)
@gypsydragongal I wouldn't purchase anything from a state run cannery, if there was such a thing...and there isn't. The govenment's m.o. is not to have as prepared for any crisis or food shortage. For cryin' out loud, they just passed Senate bill S510 under the cloak of darkness last night, around midnight (bill will now be known as HR 2751). Ironically, it's called the Food Safety Bill which in government ease surely means the Unsafe Food Bill.
That looks great. I seem to be having a problem with my dehydrated banana's coming out nice and white like yours do. Mine all turned a yucky brown color.
@jwlrymkr I believe she uses a bottle of lemon juice with a spray head attached. Lightly spritz them before dehydrating and they come out like that. :)
Please be aware that those canning lids have bpa in the white part. Do a google on bpa. Bad stuff.

Can you reuse those oxygen tablets or can you only use them once?

@jwlrymkr In one of her video's she used lemon juice put them on your rack then mist them top and bottom with the lemon juice.

@IrwinN120 Thanks! I did mist them with lemon juice. I must have sliced them too thick or something.
jwlrymkr 1 year ago
@jwlrymkr I cut mine about 1/8 inch thick or under then as soon as the rack is done mist with lemon juice.

That looks yummy, problem is if the food safety bill passes you will be classified as a smuggler if you gift the Granola.
