1578! you can have your hols there.....lol.

  • my pleasure

  • i live in Aldeburgh and the moot hall used to be in the middle of Aldeburgh but all the lan in front of it was erroded

  • I didn't know that, thanks:)

    FROM YOUR FRIEND AT: 449944991

    -Robert

  • Thanks Robert, it is great place to take a stroll:)

  • Forgot your sandwiches?

That's ok, recently I drove down to Dorset to film Deer at Arne RSPB Reserve and forgot the tripod camera-mount. Doh!!

I like Aldeborough as it's still relatively unspoilt. Traffic in Summer can be a problem. That fish n Chip shop is very popular and the queues stretch for some way come lunchtime.

'The Upper Deck' which is just up the highstreet is good if one prefers to sit down to eat - especially after a long walk around the town and Marshes.

  • Yes - I spelt Aldeburgh wrong in my previous comment. Doh!

  • Thanks for your comment, when we go back to visit in the spring I may well try that place!:)

  • I had the great opportunity to live there for nearly 4 years. What an absolutely lovely lovely town. I look forward to going back someday for some fish and chips!

  • Thanks for commenting and you were lucky to live in such a town!:)

  • Totally agree

  • Nice vid, I love Aldburgh.

  • Thanks, I look forward to going back!:)

  • thanks for the video live in thorpness in 70s now live in the pacific northwest usa thanks again

  • You are welcome, we like to go there a lot so there is bound to be another video!:)

  • dont let ne1 diss aldeburgh!!!! i love it and go sailing there every summer!!!! but to buy a house in aldeburgh is expensive!!!!

  • It is a lovely town and I bet sailing there is great!:)

  • I can't get enough of the beach :)

  • Me too but I cannot lie on it though, I get too bored!:)

  • Hi!! great Aldeburgh video.. I did a video with a sneaky secret camcorder bit in that fish n chip shop!! GREAT fish n chips!! (I'm from Ipswich by the way!) .. ;)

  • Thanks for your comment, we like to go there and it is not too far from us at Ipswich!:)

  • can u get there by train from say london

  • I have no idea, I do not know if they even have a station anymore, sorry:)

  • The nearest station is Saxmundham (about 10 miles away) or you can get a bus from Ipswich but it takes 1:40 although it is worth the effort - including the fish & chips and Adnams ale :)

  • Sounds like a good way of doing it, I like Adnams! Thanks for the info:)

  • I aways go to the bar at the White Lion to eat - just behind the Moot Hall. The fish and chips queue is always miles long! Lovely place, and I love the Scallop, very atmospheric. (I'm a Benjamin Britten fan.)

  • Thanks for your comment and that is a good tip for a place to eat, the queue for the chippy was long on that day too!:)

  • I SO enjoy the "Tony and Dominika tour England" series!!!! Thanks much!!! :)

  • Thanks, Pete! There are plenty more where those come from!:)

  • Wow What can I say?.....BEAUTIFUL PLACES!

    LOVE /HUG MARY

  • Thanks Mary, that's kind of you! xoxo

  • This is one of our fave places and those fish and chips are well worth leaving your sandwiches at home for! Great idea to narrate when the sound wasn't up to scratch. But I must take exception with you giving away Dominikas age! Do hope to see you at the meetup in London. Cheers, Lesley

  • Thanks, Lesley! I may do a lot more of this narrating at home, it means you can just point, click and enjoy the day!:)

  • This was very much appreciated. Thank you.

  • Thanks! And thanks for your subscription, I will go and have a look at your channel!:)

  • nice impression of the area thanks for all the information!

  • Very kind of you, thanks!:))

  • nice vid anthony, sorry the sound came out a bit crap, beautifull weather this weekend, love and respect scotty and libby:0)

  • Thanks Scotty, the camera has a reasonably good quality picture but the audio is a problem on a windy day! But we are not professionals after all! Yes, aren't we lucky! We got down to Clacton yesterday, it was packed!:)

  • I saw you on Ray T's page. You are making some great videos (with super-quality).

Glad I stopped by to take I look. I really

enjoy seeing your side of the world and your well-done descriptions and narration.

    I'll be back. Take care.

  • Very kind of you, thanks! Ray makes some awesome videos doesn't he!:)

  • beautiful, i'm not able to travel so this is the next best thing. thanks so much for posting this! hugs

  • Thanks Ricki, I appreciate your nice comment!:)

  • Really awesome...Scallop is a striking piece, I find it dramatic...I like the idea of a tactile, not just visual, experience.

  • Thanks, Edwin! It caused a stir when it was unveiled, some said it was a blot on the landscape, I agree with your feelings towards it, plus they have recieved a boost to visitors so they cannot really complain!:)

  • i know that place

but i dont like that load of scrap metal on the beach

looks like an old tim roof

    mmmm fish n chips

    we forgot our sandwiches LOl

  • Thanks for your comment, Sara! Love it or loath it, it is defentently a talking point!:)

Dominika Rox!!! Everyone can forget sanies- who want soggie sanies??!!! I prefer the great British food: chips are far nicer!!! I love it with vinegar with mushy peas and a big gherkin!! I love all great British food: chips, mushy peas, pies, korma, numbers 14 and 15 from the local Chinese.

  • My pleasure dear

  • cooooool!

  • Thank you sir, I will be over to say hello in a bit!:)

  • I think that next time we come to England I am going to hire you as a tour guide! :)

  • Anthony...you need an agent! This needs to be your new career path! You and Nika are natural travel hosts for the media.

Do you have Public Broadcasting over there? I think you two as a team do a great job!

  • Thanks! I don't think we have that here, all we can do is make YouTube videos!:)

  • For you, Rebecca I would be happy to, just remember to bring the sandwiches!:)

  • another beautiful place, i really enjoy your trips 5 stars ***** Cheers!!! lilly

  • Thanks Lilly, we enjoy our days out, then we enjoy the editing and we enjoy reading the comments, it keeps on giving!:)

  • ajdpadbury: lovely footage, love the audio and of course the voices x2....very nice...i love the homes and buildings, very nice.

    Anthony..thanks for this...loved it.

    sincere

    meriah [ i c o E

  • Thanks for your wonderful comment, Meriah!:)

  • Love it! Love it! You two are amazing. I really liked the scallop sculpture..I would definitely sit there and watch the sea. Much Love, Pat

  • Thanks, Pat! I am glad you liked the scallop, I do too but it caused quite a stir when it was put up, the locals didn't take to it immediately!:)

  • Wonderful video, I am enjoying your trips so much!

I have a friend in Felixstowe Suffolk ..were you near there at all?

    Hugs to you both, Nancy

  • Thanks, Nancy! Aldeburgh is about an hour from Felixstowe, but Felixstowe is only half an hour from my home, what a small world it is!:)

  • Nice day out at the beach! Was this a weekend? It looked empty... where is that place near Anthony? Yarmouth way? Or lower? Never heard of it, but there are so many little beachy places around East Anglia I havent explored :) It was a shingle beach right? So I am wondering if it is Sheringham way? thanks for sharing :)

  • Hi Lisa, it was about 10am on a Saturday morning so not many people about, and Aldeburgh is about half an hour north east from us from us at Ipswich:)

  • this worked extremely well with the voice over added later, which I guess saves having to worry about what to say when you are filming it so you can actually enjoy the day and point and click

  • Thanks Steve, it is good to have it to fall back on and it adds life to boring music videos!:)

  • Looks like a gr8 place to visit :)

  • Thanks Delaney, it sure is! I hope all is well with you:)

  • LOL! Thanks, but she does not need any encouragement!:)

  • Proud to be British!!

    Luvs

    xxxxx

  • God Save The Queen! xxx

  • lol....why worry about sandwiches left at home, there was the fish-and-chips place...a very nice piece, and a pleasure to see again.still *****

  • Thanks, Tom! When we left the queue at that fish and chip shop was about a hundred yards!:)

  • Thanks for the wonderful tour of the lovely village.

  • Thanks Moomay, glad to see you!:)

  • I like your regenerated voice over for the video. Thanks for the tour.

  • Thanks, Rex! Mostly ad-libed, with a few facts from Wikipedia!:)

  • That house right by the sea looks amazing, I hope for him global warming won't make his house into a raft :-)

    Another great video, good job.

  • Thanks, Ran! I suppose that is the risk of living by the sea, at least there is no coastal errosion there:)

  • my favorite part was the colorful houses. who's the young lady helping with the narrating of the vid?

  • Ah, that would be my better half, Dominika!:)

  • wow, i must admit, as we say in america, you sure must have some serious game to get such a lovely young lady like that, lol. seriously, i'm happy for ya. i hope to be just a s lucky one day. :)

  • Thanks, buddy! I am English and she likes all things English so I had an unfair advantage! And there is someone out there for you, do not worry about that!:)

  • Beautiful video, what a pretty place.

Were you as they say a sandwich short of a picnic??lol

    Amy xx

  • Haha good one, Amy! In every sense of the word! xxx

  • I had to type in 'cowplapres'.. No further comment neccesary!! Still, I will comment further, this was truly beautiful, maybe I will go there one day.. You know, you deserve every penny you get for these videos.. finally, I guess it's better to sit on the scalop and view the sea, than to sit in the sea and view the scallop.. at least at this time of year! A bit too refreshing at the moment, the seawater.. unless you're a Finn, straight out the sauna!! No saunas on that beach though, I guess? :)

  • Thanks, Rob. I think penny will be the operative word, although nothing has appeared yet! Just don't forget to click an advert on the way out! (btw have you signed up yourself yet?:)

  • Nope, not going down that alley.. Is that how it works, by the way? You have to click on the advert.. I thought it was enough to view.. and possibly comment?? :)

  • No, it has to be a click, so it won't be a fortune!:)

  • Ah, I didn't know.. Well, in that case there's been no partner making any money on me so far.. but now I know I guess I better click then.. :) At least on yours.. :)

  • I wonder if I am aloud to encourage clicking? I will ask YouTube!:)

  • No partner (that I know of) has as yet mentioned it in connection with their channel or videos, which is why I didn't know.. Guess you better find out, yes.. :)

  • I think I have been here! Is it the same site where one takes the ferry to Calais, France? Sandy

  • Hi Sandy! No, that was be Dover in Kent I assume, Aldeburgh is on the Suffolk coast, a hundred miles north:)

  • Yes, I remember now...it was Dover.

  • Another place I have never been, but I have read about it. Not as good as watching and listening to you two talk about it.

    5 Stars

    Phil

  • Thanks, Phil! It is a nice place to take a stroll:)

  • Lovely to see you both out and about!

    When are the nuptials?

  • Thanks! We are aiming for next April, but we have a lot of saving to do first!:)
