My parents had to have me Baptised so they could send me to school to give me an education. The fact you still need a Baptism Cert to send your kids to school is proof that's it's still a forced religion in Ireland.

The only real thing that I did hate, was the sense of victimhood.

Just get on with life .. like every other society does.

I have no time for the Catholic church, but if I'd like my kid to get a good education, you just do what you have to do. You know, when the rest of the world read Irish opinions on Ireland they get an impression of a backward country. Just travel a bit and you'll realise how advance Ireland is.
