I remember these embarrassing themselves on live TV trying to perform this. Bands should really know how to play their instruments welll before accepting record deals. And as for the singing, listen to all the effects on this track. Poor lad was shitting himself live 'cause he knew he wasn't up to it. All a bit shite, really.
I was thinking it was some hidden studio outtake now discovered of the Beatles and the Stones together, lol. Nice song though!
I never liked the Beatles OR the Stones argument. They were, after all, pretty damn good friends, even to the point of checking with each other on single release dates so as to not pull fans from each other. I love both bands and listen to one or the other depending how I'm feeling
Gee! I hadn't heard this song in ages! Found it by chance while searching for some Beatles (my forever fav ones!) vids on here, and feels good to listen to it again! I'd forgotten how good this song was! Thanks! :-)
Yeah, they did it... and it WAS a fun time to be alone, and all the way around, actually... awesome song. Thanks V62, yes, you turned me on, again, you devil you, to another great song, that is!!
it's a good memory - too earnest...a little too influenced by lou reed - disingenuous...the beatles and the stones had virtually nothing too say about vietnam...lennon did afterwards....not the beatles, except in a very abstract way...'happiness is a warm gun'....
house of love were a nice band, though. a warm, romantic, northern band who i remember with real affection...
Dude, that's not a stupid question at all-- the truth is: I don't know if Rodney is still on or not. When last I heard, his job was defininitely in jeapordy. Seems KROQ doesn't appreciate his particular talents.
Yeap, I noticed that alot, they really don't/didn't appreciate his particular talent, basically mostly due to the fact he plays local bands and what not, doesn't really bring in money to KROQ.
I'll find out if it's still on or not, On their site or wikipedia or wherever.
House of Love were an awesome Live Band. I remember seeing them open for Peter Murphy years ago. Crisp vocals, sharp guitars, and a pretty good light show for such a short set.
House of Love from Camberwell London...late 80`s early 90`s,,signed to Creation records ( i think) Guy Chadwick (vox) the guitar player went onto form the trippy Levitation who i saw at the Venue in New Croos , London early 90`s.All this before britpop .
don't touch this song please,is a little piece of my youth when i run in my dad's ford scorpio(best car ever seen)when i was 10 in 1990 with stone roses.when i heard it i comeback on 1990.different air, nice music, sweet childhood!!!and...ford scorpio,i miss you! nice song!
what year is this? i did like this sound blend... though i really stoped by to see the real beatles and the stones. but it was worth it... nice tune, indeed
This is one of the most underrated and unappreciated bands ever. Every song they have ever done is a tribute to songwriting. Guy's voice is so unique. Great job House of Love!
The Rolling Stones are the BEST BAND in the world are'nt they!!,
and their fans are the BEST FANS in the world so i hope YOU dont mind me telling you of a new band who are inspired by the rolling stones the band have a new song up just type in
one of my favorites band in the early 90s. their debut was/is brilliant and so was the second record. now they´re split for many years but just buy their best of cd it´s worth!
This song is great, If you didn't grow up in this era ...I guess you wouldnt get it!! About two legendary bands, how could you not love it, it takes you back!!!
Well, the 'v' is the peace sign, isn't it? It was, after all, the decade of peace and love. And being alone I guess is just a reference to enjoying their music.
Play this video .... but first install freecorder. This will record this song using your soundcard and automatically save the song as a WAV file onto your pc. Press record and play this video.
Got this band inked on my arm fifeteen years ago. Never covered it. Love them. People always say the band never got the attention they deserved. Maybe so. But the competition at the time was fierce. That was a good time for nineties music. Lots of interesting bands. They just got the short end of the stick.
I have three songs from gig in Haldern Germany on MPG, wish to have more live material from them, great band, too bad they never have been succesfull after this song, they had all the potential to made it at that time.
