Same thing applies if you hit one on the highway, if you have a rifle, put if out of it's misery, don't add to it! My beagle was a family dog, not a hunter. I don't know any Canadians who use dogs to hunt with. Maybe partridge hunters may use retrievers. Just for that purpose.

Rocky3330, these dogs are not path hunters. If you havent ever tried it, it is very hard to film while running or following beagles. There was hours of film and your only seeing ten min of it, so before you judge my dogs you should consider that information.

Great video!!!! Two thumbs way up. I love rabbit hunting. Have 2 male Tri-colored males and one tri female. The season is coming up in Oct. here in Indiana and watching these videos gets me fired up and ready to go. Nothing like the sound of a beagle in hot pursuit.....Happy hunting guys and hope you get many man y more bunnies along the way.

@twentieeight28 To make sure its dead, rabbits carry all kinds of diseases and if you pick up a rabbit before it is dead then it will most likely bite you. I dont know about you, but I dont want a disease from being bitten by a rabbit.

You wonder why people don't like hunters that is why. They think we are just a bunch of dumb rednecks and care nothing about the land. When I shoot a deer or rabbit if they don't die within seconds i will shot the deer in the back of head or break the rabbit's neck. I appreciate and thank the lord for everything I kill.

@hunter4lifeinchrist Im a big game hunter and know nothing of small game, or bird hunting. But im going rabbit hunting with a friends and im a little unsure. What caliber gun should i use, and if a shotgun what guage and type of ammo? If we use his dog do i use bird shot, what that be dangerious to hit the dog thats chasing the rabbit? is a .22 a good idea?

Rocky3330, these dogs are not path hunters. If you havent ever tried it, it is very hard to film while running or following beagles. There was hours of film and your only seeing ten min of it, so before you judge my dogs you should consider that information.
