I picked up ASL because my step sisters signed lies to our stepmom about me and my little brother and I picked it up, I was raised speaking both English and German so it was easy to understand ASL and learn it and I learned Spanish, French and Iranian and ASL is easy to remember but most Americans are stupid...

my town area not a lot deaf people but they have deaf people just like hide never see use sign ...I were worked restaurant short time ...just human is human none being different ...I plan move to deaf community south area near washington,dc

I totally agree with your message.

Coming from a deaf family, We have faced many trails when it comes to the issue of equality. Even though I'm hearing, I see the everyday occurence of discrimination towards deaf people alike. I've been asked several times at work to not sign with my co-workers. I find it apauling...

@itsallaboutASL i agree with your manager, i speak spanish english french chinese a little japanese as well as ASL.... ppl who see you sign to co-workers might think you're talking about them if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time

I understood a bit of it. I'm currently learning ASL - I'll try to rewatch this again and see if I pick up on the rest of it. :) But I definitely agree - everyone should be treated equally.

the job force i think is one of the main problems.. for the most part i think hearing people are actually very friendly to us. the job force is the one we should be worried about the most.
