Not much you can do to an a series engine not modern enough. 1.8 VVC 160bhp in a small mini sounds good.

another popular conversion is a 1.4vtec engine. did your k-series go in alright?

@jaggass b series vtec conversions are very popular 1.6 or 1.8, pretty sure honda didn't do a 1.4 b series vtec. we built a 1.6 vtec too as seen in one of my other vids. k series went in easy enough, probably easier than the vtec as the k is a little smaller though they both involve quite a bit of work. currently in the process of swapping my 1.6 k for the 1.8 vvc for a bit more torque :-)
