Photosythesis can not be carried out as well as before and you will have stunted and eventually dying plants. See videos about China's industrial areas and the density of smog and there is poor light transmission. People in surounding villages can't even grow plants. But in areas without dense smog like where I am from I have noticed that every spring the Foliage seems larger and more dense than years ago due to increasing CO2.

We still have created a layer of gaseos emmissions, CO2, Methane, whatever else as well as water vapour from aircraft or chemtrails for you conspiracy types. And the light transmission is lessened, this is true. But light still penetrates and is trapped as heat just not as much light. Pair this with increasing CO2 levels and you have lush dense growth. If light transmission is impeeded to extreme levels.
I have a green house and the layer of poly wrapped around it reduces the light transmission slightly but light still enters the house just less intensely than open air. If I inject CO2 from a CO2 burner above ambient CO2 levels of what used to be 340ppm, not sure what it is now a days 370 something. then my plants will use the CO2 which can double there speed of growth as well as size if levels are about 1000 to 1300ppm.
did he take measurements with the same instruments, same weather conditions and time of day and year? with similar conditions in the sky? measurements could be incorrect if these were not accounted for in his measurements

How do you get a 1 degree average with 3 days? Doesn't climate change many degrees daily? Isn't what scientist worry about is the average few degrees change over many years.
Planes were only grounded over US. Most flights are daytime. Contrails reflect during day and have time to dissipate at night when they would be insulating. After 9/11 enough planes were kept out of the sky over the US to alter temperatures. This was a regional phenomenon.

1998 was a large positive outlier, after that temperatures continued to climb. If you look at the hemispheric data for CRU/GISS you'll see that it's only in the last few years that there's been a cooling blip, that is centred on the Southern Hemisphere and is likely due to ocean circulation changes.
If GHG warming were not being seen that should be apparent over Eurasia (far from the Oceans where the atmospheric fluxes dominate). Yet Eurasia continues to warm unabated! While the cooling is centred in the SH & Oceans.

Informative and interesting. Whatever concussion(s) you come to from the data collected by scientist is yours. Personally I can see the logic in the explanations given in this 5 part documentary. I used to think it was too far fetched for the human race to really affect the earth's 'doings', after watching this and "HOMEproject" I'm concerned we obviously are, not good! What it says is that that global dimming refers to the climate cooling. It does not deny that the global warming is occurring. It is simply stating it is hiding the real warmth because of this cooling process. Pollution in our atmosphere reflect a greater majority of the incoming solar radiation. If we get rid of the pollution the earth will heat up to a greater extent. That's what this video is saying. Through global dimming we are not seeing the real warming of the earth.

And if the answer is eliminating the use of fuel, oil are economy will not be able to sustain itself. Are society is built on fossil fuel. The "scientist community" is just about as slow as climat change, because some findings like Wegener`s (1915) threaten their scientific view of the world so much, that it needs a new generation for the acceptance (1960), and another for the new view beeing brought to the educational system by the first students having become teachers.
I´ve studied climatology in Würzburg until 2008 and yet I did not hear a word about it...

Photosythesis can not be carried out as well as before and you will have stunted and eventually dying plants. See videos about China's industrial areas and the density of smog and there is poor light transmission. People in surounding villages can't even grow plants. But in areas without dense smog like where I am from I have noticed that every spring the Foliage seems larger and more dense than years ago due to increasing CO2.

I believe this story is accurate except for the idea of cooling. We still have created a layer of gaseos emmissions, CO2, Methane, whatever else as well as water vapour from aircraft or chemtrails for you conspiracy types. And the light transmission is lessened, this is true. But light still penetrates and is trapped as heat just not as much light. Pair this with increasing CO2 levels and you have lush dense growth. If light transmission is impeeded to extreme levels.

I have a green house and the layer of poly wrapped around it reduces the light transmission slightly but light still enters the house just less intensely than open air. If I inject CO2 from a CO2 burner above ambient CO2 levels of what used to be 340ppm, not sure what it is now a days 370 something. then my plants will use the CO2 which can double there speed of growth as well as size if levels are about 1000 to 1300ppm.

did he take measurements with the same instruments, same weather conditions and time of day and year? with similar conditions in the sky? measurements could be incorrect if these were not accounted for in his measurements
our technology is different "improved" since then to now, just trying to think of ideas, also, sunlight would not come in to the surface as much through the clouds blocking sunlight out
and also in turn, trapping what incoming solar radiation does get through inside

Planes are NOT the point here: particle emissions, with its effect on cloud cover, with the further effect on daytime land temp, sea temp & sunlight reflection back to space, IS!
The planes after 9/11 are a unique & graphic example of the process.
The "warming" models gave results higher than the observable temps for years; add in "dimming" - they matched.

How do you get a 1 degree average with 3 days? Doesn't climate change many degrees daily? Isn't what scientist worry about is the average few degrees change over many years.

Planes were only grounded over US. Most flights are daytime. Contrails reflect during day and have time to dissipate at night when they would be insulating. After 9/11 enough planes were kept out of the sky over the US to alter temperatures. This was a regional phenomenon.

The fuel cell used in the Elding, a boat refitted in Vigo, Spain, will provide energy to auxiliary units on board via a battery that all boats already have. Doing this will avoid having to run the much larger propulsion motors in order to charge the batteries when the boat is not moving. This will save a great deal of energy and will reduce pollution when the boats in port. Maybe more efforts should be directed at developing clean hydrogen technology.

C02 levels are about the same. Why are we not warming?
1934 is again hottest year on record not 1998 or 2005. This due to nasa screwing up the data.
Direct C02 messurments, Ice cores, tree rings, sediment cores, pete bogs and recent datasets clearly show the C02 hypotheses to be false.
IPCC say C02 forcing - it's just another theory to back up a failed theory = junk science.
Do your research.
Look at the emperical data.

I read the primary peer reviewed science as a hobby.
The fact that you say we've had cooling for 11 years show you haven't a clue at all.
1998 was a large positive outlier, after that temperatures continued to climb. If you look at the hemispheric data for CRU/GISS you'll see that it's only in the last few years that there's been a cooling blip, that is centred on the Southern Hemisphere and is likely due to ocean circulation changes.
Check out the residuals for the last 30 years.

If GHG warming were not being seen that should be apparent over Eurasia (far from the Oceans where the atmospheric fluxes dominate). Yet Eurasia continues to warm unabated! While the cooling is centred in the SH & Oceans.
Do you think picking up iron filings with a magnet refutes the law of gravity?
Of course you don't.
You understand that there's gravity, but there's also magnetism.
Likewise, there's GHG driven warming, but (mostly) ocean changes cause the cooling.

The laws of gravity and magnetism are NOT hypotheses they are well established FACTS that can be demonstrated by anyone.
The AGW hypothesis has been tested by scientists against all know empirical datasets and has FAILED every test.
Thus the reason it is still only an hypothesis.
Anyone can read the datasets and clearly see that there is NO correlation - it is that obvious!
Gravity and magnetism can be shown.
AGW is only an hypothesis and is NOT demonstatable with real world data.

The laws of Gravity and Magnetism are equations. As to what causes Gravity and Magnetism, those are theories.
You would only expect a 1 to 1 correlation in a simple 2 elemant system. Aside from the long term CO2 impact there are more short term impacts La Nina's etc.
Your 11 years is wrong because you're cherry picking 1998, after 1998 temperatures continued to rise on the same trend as before. Your supposed cooling is just a La Nina.
CO2 has been shown to block infra-red - in the 1800s

Could you back up what you are saying with some references we can look? It´s OBVIOUS that CO2 is heating up the planet and i dont need to point to any NASA studies or stuff like that to back my argument. Just take a look at México City. CO2 is warming the city. It´s like a greenhouse effect there. Want empiric data? just go there someday and you´ll see. No need for "measurements" just ask people there.. If C02 can warm a city, why do you think it wont warm the plannet? C02 IS warming the earth.

Thanks for the info, and for the names. As for the research with your data, yes i did it. OK, as far as i understand...scientists cant say for sure that C02 is heating up the planet..but neither can they say it isnt. NOBODY KNOWS what´s happening..its like AIDS... So at the end in this matter..You are left to belive what you want to belive.. i rather belive it does..until it is CERTAINTLY TRUE IT DOESNT.. because i hate contaminating our plante anyway...

I must disagree with you when you say nobody knows.
All indications from all messurements taken show the hypothesis to be false.
In science if only one event in which the data didn't agree with the hypothesis, the hypothesis would be re-worked to explain why it didn't fit, then tested again until a workable theory is produced.
This is NOT happening with the C02 hypoth.
The data just doen't fit.
Good on ya for doing the research, more people need to get off their bums and do it.

IPCC has consitanly got it wrong. Not one of they're predictions has come to fruition - NOT ONE.
To lend any credibillity to them is a leap of faith and faith only. They DO NOT base reports on scientific evidence, junk hypotheses at best.
So many scientists have now rejected the IPCC claims, others have quit and refused to be a part of it.

The question is - now that it's been shown C02 does't cause warming but is a result of warming - what will our respective governments do?
C02 was there best shot at making a shit load of money out of thin air. Does the latest science mean carbon trading schems and tax's will be dropped. What about signatries to the Kyoto protocol?
