Why did Obama once again bow to the insurance companies? The Afffordable Health Care Act claims a very large % of business do not offer healthcare so under 26 qualify. Then it allows a waiver for companies to offer 3rd World Country $1000 year hospitalization coverage (suppose to be $750,000) just so they won't qualify unless they don't work & co's get a break. What a freaking joke. I find your assertions equally hilarious. You want people to take you seriously ? then kill the insults and LOOK UP where the tea party got it's name and WHY. Talk about misinformed.
@ShadowGryphon I look up and see my ceiling... not sure what that means. Are you talking about the Boston Tea Party? There are 2 parallels between "Boston Tea Party" and "Fox's Tea Party" are the name "tea party" and anger. The differences, everything else. One example. Boston: They dumped the tea into the harbor because The East India trading company received a tax break to 0% because they were too big to fail. Fox's tea party: Taxes are too high, cut planned parenthood, etc.
Bravo... I LOVE it... If people are CHILDREN until the age of 26... how come I can't deduct them off my taxes after 18? If grown children are married and having children of their own, am I required to carry ALL of them on my ObamaCare policy?
@ItalianScire: Sure, you're parents can cover you. Nice. But., thier premiums will go up. There are insurance options that can cover students. Looking for the government to pay your bills so you can earn a degree you hope will make you lots of money is foolish. Afterall, who do you think will pay for the programs in the future? Thats right, its you.
I love how they joke about being covered under your parents health insurance until 26. Well that helped me and probably millions of other young people. As a current medical student how can I afford health insurance when paying $42,000 a year in tuition. My asthma medications are 300 dollars for one without insurance. How can a young student trying to go to college and attempting to have a positive impact in society worry about how they can pay for health insurance. BULLSHIT.
@Hydroponicstoday are you serious. Have you ever met a medical student that could hold a job and study? I guarantee that you won't find one... If that is your solution, our future great doctors will not exist because we are worrying about working and studying to be covered for our "amazing health insurance"
@ItalianScire YOU want to have a positive impact on society...STOP sucking on it's tit!!!! You can't pay for Your tuition for medical school then join the National Guard or go active duty and do it that way and actual serve your country verses the other way around!!!!! I hate when people bitch about something and always want the easy way out instead of working for it!!!!!
@pedrodejesus1978 again are you serious... I came from a single parent home where my mother raised my brother and I, making less than 18,000 dollars a year. We never got nice clothes, we didn't have a nice car, we simply lived under everyone else but had each other to get by. When I was 16 I got a job making 5.15 an hour to help my mom pay bills.. I current still work at this place for 7 years now taking care of old people making not even 8. 50. So I do have a job taking care of our elderly.
@pedrodejesus1978 so my point is I worked my ass off to get to where I am at.. Never took out loans from our government or abused the system. All I am saying is how can I focus on school when Im studying 10 hours a day to become a good doctor but worrying about my 300 dollar medication for my asthma because our shitty health care system can't cover me during school; however thanks to our president I am covered on my dad until 26 so I can focus on what I have earned the past 7 years of school...
@pedrodejesus1978 National Guard and active duty....? government is still paying the bill there... plus if he's injured or killed fighting for oil... what asset have we gained then? He's dead or disabled and we're out another medical doctor. We are importing educated people to this country to fill the "smart people" jobs. Education is needed, Fox news is not education its entertainment.
@lesagedo Not gov healthcare? -Huh? Obamacare greatly expands the gov's role in healthcare by: the individual/employer mandate, defining what "healthcare coverage" is, adding 16000 IRS agents to police US citizens, determing treatments to certain medical ailments, creation of a health czar, medical rationing, issuing waivers to special interest groups, ....ect.
this is horrible sounds like the guy is brain washed with this shit plus u cant force people to buy heath care this is the worst thing thats ever been passed
w7qho: I doubt if those lousy pols have to worry about their health insurance like the average citizens of the country. I wonder if Michelle Obama is covered by health insurance when she's on one of her out of the country jaunts at taxpayers expense? I know I'm not and I pay for my own trips.
Excellent video. It does not take a genius to realize that adding 37 million people to the health care system with a declining number of physicians can only lead to long lines, long waits, health care rationing, and lousy care! How can lowering the budget for Medicare by $500,000,000 lead to better care for seniors? Is it fair that over 1,000 entities have received permission not to participate in Obamacare and that the state of New York has requested a waiver? Why? Oppose Obamacare and Obama!
Do senators and congresspersons like Obama care for themselves. I don't think so.Their medical insurance is the best and good for life. We're not so lucky.
@backedbycash WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! Senators and Representatives used to covered under the same medical benefit plans as all other government employees. They LOST that coverage under the new health care law and now will get their coverage under the new law. And, either way it's NOT for life.
For profit corporations always care about people more than non-profits! Just hand the little bit of the country that they don't already control and everything will be fine! Let BP write our environmental laws and we'll have a little more oil (and a lot more pollution) in 10 yrs. Bend over and enjoy it, its gonna happen!
If people will just keep on calling it "Obamacare", President Obama's re-election is certain.
Wait, did I say that out loud? I mean, oh please DON'T call it by that mean old name! You will hurt our sensitive little liberal feelings if you do. And you know how thin-skinned and immature we are! So please, please, STOP calling health care reform "Obamacare"!
It's funny looking at the arguments on here. People don't realize that it is becoming increasingly more difficult for a physician to sustain a practice on their own. Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements are a joke. They won't even pay for some procedures and/or visits. Then the physicians eat the costs. If doctors can't make money then they don't practice. If ObamaCare (the proposed healthcare "fix" under Obamas presidency) is anything like medicare/Medicaid, then we will have issues with sh
@w7qho You obviously have your head up where the sun doesn't shine if you truly believe that Obamacare is good for anyone! Just take a long look at countries that have socialized medicine and what it's done to their citizens.
Do the math....add all people....subtract doctors who are retiring and new people not going into the medical field...=longer waits for appointments and not as good care.
Total pack of conservative lies, half truths and prejudice not to mention BS. Anyone who would buy into the crap spewed out here doesn't even qualify for idiot status.
@w7qho You are the idiot here. I'm orignally from Michigan and know that Canadians come to the U.S. for timely, life saving care that they can't get in their own country.
By the way...it isn't free....it will be paid for off of the backs of tax paying Americans....not just the wealthy. Don't we pay enough to support the free-loaders?!
I'm not talking about those who can't work but those who won't and those here illegally.
what is it....23 states filed lawsuits against Obamacare for not being constitutional....that's almost half of the 57 states of USA ! oopps...I mean 50.

This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Nothing more then pure porpaganda, spewed by the insurance companies and the right wing nuts. They are so many un-truths in this 2 minute article that it unbelievable. SHAME ON THE PRODUCER
I began my social work career in 1984- and we had free community clinics in every community that needed them. Open borders and frivilous litigation did away with them. The problem is not that insurance and healthcare aren't available, the problems are: open borders, litigation, entitlement mentality, and people living unhealthy lifestyles and yet expecting good health. We are also an overly medicated society, which causes more unhealth.
As a Canadian who has had socialized healthcare since the 1970s, I can say with some honesty that this video is a sarcastic pile of shiit from people with a political agenda who don't care what happens to anyone but themselves.
Why do your leaders come down here for surgeries and what not then? I have clients from Canada. They love the care when they are young. But in the elder years the waiting and red tape forces them all to come to the states. Just because you think it works for Canada, doesnt mean its right for us here. We dont tell you guys how to make syrup. Dont tell us how to run our government....eh.
@jdebruhl2 Nobody here cares what kind of health care you have. Just don't lie about it. Yes, Danny Williams (Premier of Newfoundland) went to the U.S. to have his heart operated on. It could have been done here but apparently his doctor referred him to the surgoen in the U.S. It doesn't matter, it is all covered by our system - including those who go to the U.S. for care because they can't wait for an operation in Canada. No it is not perfect as a system, but we had yours and it sucks.
@jdebruhl2 excellent points ! I have family in Italy and had uncles waiting 2 years for a hip replacement. my father goes back there and is terrified of visiting their doctors. he would rather remain sick until he gets back to the states ! I for one will not be forced into this program. they can put me in jail.
Excellent video. I laughed, then realized the laugh is on all Americans whether you are for Obamacare or not. Obama has made a laughing stock of us all using his ignorant idiot-illogical, idiological world view.
God, we repent, please stop punishing us with Obama!
They government says it will cost $ 1 trillion dollars for the next ten years for Obama Care. I hope you all do some research. One trillion dollars will not cover any thing.
The cost of health care for 2008 was 2.7 trillion dollars. Look it up I did. The cost in the next 3-5 years could go to 4.3 trillion dollars . So what in the hell are we going to get for a lousy $ 1 trillion dollars over 10 years Not a damn thing.
What on earth? The Americans are such a gigantically fat people and this video is implying that they take good care of their health because of the high health insurance costs. There are so many other first world countries with systems that produce much healthier populations at a fraction of the cost of the USA. Anyone who thinks the US health service is in good shape is either too wealthy to care less about the uninsured or completely bonkers.
@graemephillips Yeah, don't step on your moral high horse just yet. The US isn't the only "developed" nation with an obesity problem. I suggest you do a little research before you cast aspersions. Stones and glass houses, you know.
The United States ranks 37th in health care outcomes compared with the other countries of the world. We rank 1st in dollars spent per citizen. Do people really trust the insurance companies to help people have better health care? They pay people bonuses to deny people needed treatment, and yes, to ration health care. I understand people's criticism of Obama's health care plan, but why don't health care companies want the government to compete on the open free market with the public option?
@391083 I am speaking as a healthcare worker. First of all, take a good look at why we are 37th. Other countries do not care for ALL their people and those people are therefore not in the statistics. I've read the articles. Also, the government would not be part of the 'open free market.' If we do get Obamacare, I can't wait to say I told you so. And -why do so many Canadiens come to the US to get care??? Because they cannot get it in Canada. Seattle hospitals are full of Canadiens.
Barak Hussein Obama, Bad For America, But awfully helpful to Muslim terrorists, illegal felons, and socialist morons everywhere. Affirmative action was no way to elect a president. A liar wrapped up in ideological idiocy.
@58fenix "Even though I have to pay for it later that is great my friend rather than the doctor saying oh of you dont have five grand there is no way we can do the surgery."
That's a false argument. In reality you get the surgery first, then the doctor bills you, then you either pay or don't pay the bill... If you can't afford to pay the bill, the doctor can sell the debt to bill collectors and recover some of the $. You get hassled by bill collectors, but at least your NOT denied surgery!
@58fenix By the way, you've posted this same FALSE argument before in other threads on youtube... and I've corrected you before. So far I've been respectful to you, now it's appropriate to call you a liar. You're a liar. Quit lying and fear-mongering. People in the United States are not denied medical treatment if they are uninsured/poor. That's why we have Medicare. Your lies are lies because you're willingly distorting the truth you liar.
@DOHC2L Just a friendly bit of input here.. I think Medicaid is the welfare care system and that Medicare is the adjunct to Social Security which is paid for by subscribers/workers with matched funds from employers.
Cute video with a valuable lesson. But it's important to understand the root of the health care problem in the first place: GOVERNMENT, with their licensure laws, prohibitions, mandates, etc. Real solution: Get government completely out of the food, health and drug business. Completely.
@MTPorcupine3 You are so correct. The lies this administation forwarded to the public is outrageous. To require hospitalization insurance to cover cosmetic surgery, etc, and MAKE everyone pay for it in their premiums has caused the premiums to increase. The main cause of almost every problem we face is CAUSED DIRECTLY by our OUT OF CONTROL government. VOTE THEM OUT !
yes, and totally deregulate the meat industry so they can stop paying costs to sanitize their machines and keep rat feces out of our federally tested meat products. Awesome!
PLEASE-- may I have permission to upload this to my TRUTH ABOUT THE HEALTH CARE BILL video?
The elderly today, thanks to AARP, have learned to articulate, whine and cry for things their children and grandchildren will be enslaved to pay for. The old guy knocking down the young lady at home base is PERFECT analogy of this OBOMINATION of a plan.
P.S. I believe 26 states have deemed this bovine-fecal-matter of a plan unconstitutional.
@addvoc8 Hmm I think 57 is sauce but perhaps if we include puerto rico, v.i., guam, Am Samoa, No. Mariana Is. and how about we throw in mexico, canada then yes... prolly all 57 states would be 'for it'. :-(
The only thing funnier than this commercial are all the Liberals here objecting to airing of the facts. When the truth offends you, it's time to reassess your contribution to the human race.
This video has it right. It clearly states the facts, with humor, and a direct shot to the heart of Obamacare. Those not aware will have their eyes opened. The rest of us are laughing, as we cry at what's happening to our country. What happened to rugged individualism?
our money is better spent on the military industrial complex waging wars, killing muslims and inspiring hate around the world, protecting greedy insurance non compete across state line profits then providing affordable health care for Americans. 1 year of war with Iraq = 12 years of ObamaCare
@mysilvertube52 Do you know why ObamaCare seems so affordable? Because the vast majority of the cost is forced upon workers and their employers. That keeps the numbers off the federal budget, but the cost is still there. Honestly, did you really think nationalizing 17% of the US economy would really be so affordable? Its just like a whole new form of taxation. Plus, look at the original Medicare cost estimates. Look at where we it is now. Government predictions are a joke.
jolati, Other than it is contrary to everything you've been told to believe, what don't you like about the video. Try to find one inaccuracy. You'll get yourself educated.
The Chicago Crime Boy that registered for Selective Service using a Social Security number of some woman in Connecticut! A woman! This lying stealing POS criminal prick wants you to believe how good this Obamacare will be? How stupid can people be?
...if you experience obamacare suffocating other forms of competitive insurance, lavishly enriching obama political contributors, call your obama approved doctor immediately and put on a blindfold.
Is the baseball tackle of the young lady a metaphor for baby boomers sucking wealth from the younger generations via massive entitlement debt? I think it is.
The private companies still have the ability to exclude when they choose, until that part of the reforms go fully into effect in 2014, to increase the profitability of their insurance actuarial pools. Medicare & Medicaid don't get to exclude those who might cost more. That's why mandated universal coverage is a better choice - and why the insurance industry fought so hard against it.
@elizlk It's a better choice for card-carrying commies who want to steal from others. We're not there yet, comrade ... and we won't be as long as I'm still breathing.
@elizlk Many states already have guaranteed insurance plans with waivers on pre-existing conditions. Have you checked with your state insurance department? Most of them are administered by the states.
@elizlk Many states already have guaranteed insurance plans with waivers on pre-existing conditions. Have you checked with your state insurance department? Most of them are administered by the states.
This commercial is AWESOME! Obamacare is a mess, let the free markets rule. The only reason for-profit insurance is a bad guy is because the government reduced their competition through denying interstate bids. If the government would get out of it, for-profits would be competitive and much much cheaper because new insurance companies would start up to address niche areas left behind. Elizik, blame the Libs for why the free market doesn't work.
Cute, but you should be after the for-profit insurance industry . . . and for those with pre-existing conditions, the ability to get access to affordable coverage is no joke. Thanks for nothing.
Figures your group meets in Vegas, too. Trying to help out their economy, right?
@elizlk Many states already have guaranteed insurance plans with waivers on pre-existing conditions. Have you checked with your state insurance department? Most of them are administered by the states.
@elizlk you lack basic understanding of economics if you think government run health care is cheaper for the consumer than private run. Look at the Post Office vs. FedEx. They charge the same for their service. But while fedEx makes a profit, the government subsidizes $12B/yr for the Post Office. And FedEx provides a better service.
Also, your mean ole "for profit" companies reject 8% of their claims (meaning they don't pay them), while the government (Medicaid, Medicare) rejects 12%.
That's another of saying you resent society if it doesn't go into extreme debt to give you free stuff. It's true... if you self insure and want to get a great insurance plan as soon as you get an expensive disease, that is going to cost someone a lot of money. Since the federal government is broke, creating a huge entitlement to pay for this is a bad solution. Profit is just another word for sane business.

BULLSHIT.

@ItalianScire YOU want to have a positive impact on society...STOP sucking on it's tit!!!! You can't pay for Your tuition for medical school then join the National Guard or go active duty and do it that way and actual serve your country verses the other way around!!!!! I hate when people bitch about something and always want the easy way out instead of working for it!!!!!
pedrodejesus1978 10 months ago
@pedrodejesus1978 again are you serious... I came from a single parent home where my mother raised my brother and I, making less than 18,000 dollars a year. We never got nice clothes, we didn't have a nice car, we simply lived under everyone else but had each other to get by. When I was 16 I got a job making 5.15 an hour to help my mom pay bills.. I current still work at this place for 7 years now taking care of old people making not even 8. 50. So I do have a job taking care of our elderly.
ItalianScire 10 months ago
@pedrodejesus1978 so my point is I worked my ass off to get to where I am at.. Never took out loans from our government or abused the system. All I am saying is how can I focus on school when Im studying 10 hours a day to become a good doctor but worrying about my 300 dollar medication for my asthma because our shitty health care system can't cover me during school; however thanks to our president I am covered on my dad until 26 so I can focus on what I have earned the past 7 years of school...
ItalianScire 10 months ago
@pedrodejesus1978 National Guard and active duty....? government is still paying the bill there... plus if he's injured or killed fighting for oil... what asset have we gained then? He's dead or disabled and we're out another medical doctor. We are importing educated people to this country to fill the "smart people" jobs. Education is needed, Fox news is not education its entertainment.

lesagedo 10 months ago
@lesagedo Not gov healthcare? -Huh? Obamacare greatly expands the gov's role in healthcare by: the individual/employer mandate, defining what "healthcare coverage" is, adding 16000 IRS agents to police US citizens, determing treatments to certain medical ailments, creation of a health czar, medical rationing, issuing waivers to special interest groups, ....ect.

@realm313 Hell why go that far ? Just go to Massachusetts where "social" health care is in full swing.... and see how it has bankrupted that state.

Roadghost88 10 months ago
@Roadghost88
Dont tell us how to run our government....eh.
jdebruhl2 10 months ago 3
@jdebruhl2 Nobody here cares what kind of health care you have. Just don't lie about it. Yes, Danny Williams (Premier of Newfoundland) went to the U.S. to have his heart operated on. It could have been done here but apparently his doctor referred him to the surgoen in the U.S. It doesn't matter, it is all covered by our system - including those who go to the U.S. for care because they can't wait for an operation in Canada. No it is not perfect as a system, but we had yours and it sucks.

glennt21601 10 months ago 2
What on earth? The Americans are such a gigantically fat people and this video is implying that they take good care of their health because of the high health insurance costs. There are so many other first world countries with systems that produce much healthier populations at a fraction of the cost of the USA. Anyone who thinks the US health service is in good shape is either too wealthy to care less about the uninsured or completely bonkers.

391083 10 months ago
@391083 I am speaking as a healthcare worker. First of all, take a good look at why we are 37th. Other countries do not care for ALL their people and those people are therefore not in the statistics. I've read the articles. Also, the government would not be part of the 'open free market.' If we do get Obamacare, I can't wait to say I told you so. And -why do so many Canadiens come to the US to get care??? Because they cannot get it in Canada. Seattle hospitals are full of Canadiens.

Also, your mean ole "for profit" companies reject 8% of their claims (meaning they don't pay them), while the government (Medicaid, Medicare) rejects 12%.
ramrants 11 months ago 24
@elizlk
"Thanks for nothing."
