You know what squamish4244, i my post is 5 months old and i re-heard the piece of conference and i would have to agree with you. I don't know what made me think that way then. Thanks for making me re-think this issue.... Ps. I am being honest even if it might not sound like it. When i change my mind about something i just do, freely. Thks.
@altaescuelaecuestre I just saw your post now. I'd like to think I change my mind freely as well. But there are many atheists on here who have gotten very angry at me when I tried to bring up the same point, which is at odds with their supposed open-mindedness.
If it wasn't for the hords of ignorant people alive, this would have no audience. I dislike materialism. Saying though that science and materialism are one is a sharade that wallace puts up to have a straw man for his moralistic sword. It gets totally confusing whpen he says that he can show us a path where understanding can be appealing even for scientists! Wallace has not sucumbed to infection thanks to scientists understanding of bacteria.
@JavierBonillaC Materialism is still the dominant philosophy of the scientific community however. Only in certain fields is it challenged - quantum physics being the most notable - but for most others, brain=mind and when you die that's it, game over. I don't think he's setting up a straw man at all.
