@donkey2883 Good question, but I keep thinking Lewis got knocked out by Hasim Rahman and crackhead Oliver McCall??? Foreman kills him if that Lewis shops up.
george was a fucking tank, nobody in his prime could best him, only ali did. i always wonder how the fight would go between young tyson and young foreman
Foreman is considered the strongest boxer of all time and one of the hardest hitting HUMANS that have ever lived. He made up his somewhat poor technique with brute strength.
@Ol0fsson Foreman had that old slave strength (not trying to be racist at all) but his genetics are that of a hard working man passed down from generation to generation. Look at him and Norton, Nearly the same size and weight, Foreman tossed him around like a rag doll. Even in his old age he was still stronger than everyone, even bigger men like Briggs ran away from him.
@Ol0fsson Perhaps foreman had poor fundementals... but i would NEVER say a slow heavy puncher like Foreman had bad technique! That's what a knockout artist is all about!
@Ol0fsson true the man is a beast but a beast with wobbly hands and feet cant catch the speed that is muhammad Ali!!! :D "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee,may he be reborn again, all bow to Ali" lol just made the other half of that up now fits well eh :D
Foreman had huge arms full of power. I don't think that there has ever been a heavy weight champ with arms that big. His problem was he tired in the later round sometimes, which is not unusual for someone that size. He was a great fighter overall though, really enjoyed watching his bouts.
@SillyBoyBlue83 now, why on earth would i be mad? pls, tell me on good reason for that? Also, couldnt u come up with a comment slightly more orginal? Let alone answer the questions? Why do u think George hits the hardest? how did u come about that "opinion" Was it based on something solid or u actually know little of the fight game?
@TEMUJINARTS He has one of the highest ko ratios ever..second only to Marciaon..and he puts huge dents in oversized punching bags. He put Joe Frazier out twice, George Chuvalo, and those guys were once thought impossible to knock out. Ernie Shavers couldnt knock out Tex Cobb..George Foreman knocked out much better fighters than Tex Cobb
@ah93704 let me tell u something. Listen well. Actually, im not gonna do the talking, just tell u about what others said. Now, ppl have been hit by shavers and foreman agree that it does not go to goerge. Also, like speed, goerge had a very different kind of power. Again, not my words, but from ppl who have been there and know. Not like u with ur formulations, and theories like a ko ratio and dents in bags. I love Foreman but i dont speak nonsense due to my love. So pls do some more work
@TEMUJINARTS Ali and Norton both disliked Foremanand would never give him the credit they deserve. That is why they say Shavers hit harder. The fact is, though, foreman had the greater arsenal. He could punch with his left and his right whereas Shavers could really only hit with his right hand. Shavers had no chin either nor endurance. Lyle kncoked the piss out of Shavers yet got knocked out by foreman. Lyle, out of jealousy, said Shavers hit harder. Dont you see how unreliabe it is?
@ah93704 Also, its funny that u brought up Chuvalo, cuz ive talked to him and a few others about that matter and others. If u have done the same id love to know to sit down and compare notes and share stories. If u havent dont waste my time with ur take on the issue based on nothing more than ur precious opinion created from nothing but ur of ego by the way of u thinking u can surmise things from what u dont know of or little about.
@TEMUJINARTS I've met plenty of fighters: Foreman, Tyson, Holyfield, and Tex Cobb. I've never met Chuvalo but I would like to. He was a good guy. Nobody could knock out Chuvalo. Not even Frazier but Foreman did. Nobdoy could knock out Frazier till George did it. Shavers couldnt ko Lyle but Foreman did. Now, explain to me why Shavers has such a lower ko ratio? Also explain why foreman does better against better opposition? I've actually boxed. I had 12 amateur fights. All the trainers I've
@TEMUJINARTS talked to said Foreman was the best hitter of all the heavyweights. Holyfield told me the hardest he was ever hit was by Foreman. Look, I know you believe Ali and you have every right to but my point is this..Lyle said the same thing out of jealousy..how can Shavers hit harder and not knock you out and yet still hit harder than the guy that did knock you out? it makes no sense. answer those questions or shut the fuck up because you obviously dont know shit about boxing nigger!
@ah93704 What? U just told me to stfu AND called me a NIGGER? Man, reading ur replys back i thought for a min that u actually werent like most here on utube ad had something to share. I was very happy witht he propects of helping u understand this and of me learning something from u. and then NIGGER?? Maybe i am or not but where ur class? U know the man in question whom we both admire prob wouldnt appreciate that shit to say the least. whats wrong with u, actually u know just forget it
@TEMUJINARTS reply to everything I said except the facts...boy, you really have a strong argument. I'm sorry I used the N word. It was unclassy of me.
@FIGHTFANNERD3 Ring magazine concurs. He is the only living person on the heaviest punchers list of all times, Joe Louis being number 1. I respect their research and collective opinion more than your insightful argument.
Holyfield would have a better chance agains young foreman but still no way. Holy being taller than tyson with greater mobility and hand speed might be able to win a couple of early rounds. If he could last eight or nine rounds foreman might run out of gas but before that happen foreman would stun holy whose pride would draw him inside to brawl and hurt foreman back which he may well do but he would be now fighting foreman's fight. holy's chin and heart would keep him but judge would stop it.
no way tyson could have beat a young geogre foreman. His only chance would be to immoblize geogre with body shots til geogre ran out of gas but no way Tyson gets in close with that long foreman jab. no way he survives the thunderous punches of foreman which with his height and weight behind them were the most powerful in heavyweight history. Tyson goes out early suffering the fate of Frazier and Norton cause of Foreman's tremendous size and power advantage
@bobber0623 Agreed, Foreman would really destroy Tyson. Although Foreman beat Joe Frazier, I'd still say Frazier was a great boxer, especially considering he was, what... 5'11? He was competing with people at least 3 inches taller than him on average. Not to mention Frazier had crazy power in his punches as well.
In my opinion Foreman was the hardest puncher EVER.. Tyson was close, but Foreman had more reach... Tyson had better head movement and was faster but Foreman hit harder and had a better chin...and probably more heart as well...
Here is my Top 5 hardest punchers 1. Foreman 2. Tyson 3. Lennox Louis 4. Marciano 5. Frazier
@Szekler11 lol ok... lets debate what do you think? or are you just going to be a hater and say "you know nothing about boxing do you" Your not going to tell me that Earnie Shavers hit the hardest are you? or Holyfield or some B.S like that... your probably just a idiot anyway If you dont think Tyson or Foreman hit the hardest your just a close-minded fool...
@Ztnarf1985 hoop off tysons nuts. he was overrated. George does have a big punch. but guys like Shannon Briggs has bigger one punch power, Lennox had a bigger punch and Wladimir is probably the hardest hitter of em all.
George was like Vitali. and acumulation puncher. Tyson had flash KDs. Guys like Lennox and Wlad punches destroy. It's like being hit with a sledgehammer.
@Szekler11 Foreman hit Joe so hard he made him skip half-way across the ring. Wladimir he has a punch but that is because he is like 6'7 and weights like 250+ if the man don't not have a punch then there is something wrong..However still I think that foreman had the most powerful punches and he could knock you out with either handthe man was scary.Ali would not even watch Foreman hit the heavybag before there fight, Foreman hit the bag so hard he would leave a dent in the bag
@Ztnarf1985 Vitali isnt a onepunch KO artist like Wlad because of his style. He is mainly a counter puncher, he uses mostly arm punches, which have weakenned over in his last few fight due to age. He doenst use leverage. still he has enough strenght, being a big man to wear down and KO an opponent. He has a freakish KO%ge. Foreman is simmilar, although he fought mostly smaller fighters. Frazier was no bigger than a CW, that why he got smacked around. He would do no better aggainst a prime Vitali
@Szekler11 the size of a watermelon just from only 10 minutes of punching it..And Marciano was the HARDEST hitter ever for his SIZE..EVER that man ended career's he was a animal he lacked boxing skills and form..but he had chin, heart and the susie q his right hand watch him knock out Jersey Joe it is so brutal it is hard to watch..keep it going,,lol
Tyson swarmed his opponents, he went inside and unleashed his combos, powerful and fast, good head movement and he could bob and weave.
But foreman was just a puncher, he had no footwork, no head movement, less speed, he had a lot of power thought and i think a prime tyson could handle a prime foreman
@95westsidefrank foreman would absolutely destroy tyson, and foreman was not "just a puncher" you retard. foreman is top 2 hardest punchers ever, and the strongest hw ever in the boxing history. foreman did cut the ring pretty well, he had better chin than tyson, he had great heart, a great jab, and brutal strength. he destroyed prime norton and joe frazier in 2 rounds, these men did beat ali. and past prime norton gave the hell to prime holmes. cus damato picked foreman to beat tyson, funny
@Brownpride480 I would put my money on Foreman had he met Tyson in his prime, but do you think Tyson would be the underdog with an outside chance, or no chance at all? I'm just asking your opinion because most people get emotional in a boxing debate, and you seem like a reasonable guy.
@TenTonHorse No but remember Styles make fights and Tyson's style is little similar to Frazier's only Tyson would last a little longer than Frazier cause of his athleticism but that doesn't mean I have something against Tyson and I'm a fan of him, Frazier, and Foreman.
@Brownpride480 If Tyson uses the Rooney-era style, he has little chance. He could try and counter straight after a Foreman punch (and not evade a few to measure up an attack like he used to) and then try and finish Foreman (HUGE task - Lyle, Holyfield), or keep this up for a few rounds and wear Foreman down (more realistic), but Foreman only has to land once, and he can push Tyson away if he swarms. Do you think there's a strategy Tyson could use to improve his chances?
@TenTonHorse he would have some chances if he had Rooney with him but still even with Rooney he still didn't have a great pacing with his stamina but was a better boxer though but because of his pacing problems I think Tyson would struggle a lot more than Holyfield and Lyle from trying to take out Big George which was one of the reasons why Tyson never wanted to fight George Foreman cause he was of afraid of losing to him even though they're both past their primes.
@TenTonHorse and when it comes to strategy Ali used the rope-a-dope to beat Foreman which it worked and as for Tyson I can't really think of anything else that can improve his chances of beating Foreman cause of his height and reach.
@Brownpride480 Thanks for commenting. Against Foreman, good height and long reach is crucial. A young Ali (and maybe Holmes?) would be a problem for Foreman since he could keep out of his reach, pepper him with jabs, and wear him down. Tyson's reach was small for a middleweight - 71 inches, Hagler was 76. Tyson would have to abandon his trademark style and do something different to stand a chance.
george is great fighter and great person.fuck u with this fucking hl.everyone may loss.u just sitting on the computer and masturbating all time.asshole
It would have been nice to see the two fight, Tyson like Foreman had one punch power, both were feared in their prime, although Tyson was quicker I dont think Tyson would have racked up his record against Lyle,Ali,Frazier,Norton,Shavers,or Chuvalo.
best heavy weight of all time is ali no one else comes close, but joe frazier is my fav all time heavy weight the 2nd best heavy weight off all time without a doubt it geroge forman
@Gabriel34534 lol your overrating tyson to the max. hmm who did prime tyson beat in his prime that could wash foremans socks, tyson would get man handled
@messier991102 Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks were both awesome boxers and Tyson demolished them very quickly. And by the way it is you're not your. :-)
@messier991102 your LWH argument doesn't wash with me given the career Evander Holyfield had from the C-weights into Heavyweights. They can become great heavyweights. Also he's a professional boxer. Fear is definitely not an excuse. Larry Holmes is one of the all time greats. On top of that you have Trevor Berbick. Marvin Frazier could have been a great boxer if Tyson didn't demolish him so conclusively, his career leading up to Tyson was on its way. There's also Razor Ruddock. Tyrell Biggs.
@messier991102 Mitch Green. Frank Bruno. Carl The Truth Williams. The Bonecrusher and even in his later year Botha. All good boxers. He defeated a lot of great boxers, he ended so many promising careers.
@kieranmatiz good not even close to great, none are in the HOF. he only defeated 2 great and 1 was a LHW he other was 38. he defeated good but there is a large margin between good and great
@messier991102 They made an Ali movie, I hope they make one about George Foreman. His story is just as compelling and amazing as Ali's. Foreman's story needs to be told, his comeback at 38 years old and then winning the HW title in his 40s...now that is movie worthy...
@messier991102 You're overrating foreman to the maximum, i mean he's great but look at his style it's will not work with tyson, i saw video of foreman training i was like wat the hell! he punch heavy bag hard with right hand hard and hard and hard. what kind of training is that? look at tyson training. Strong as frazier fast as ali
and yeah. you can't rate fighter like that .. he got spinks in 1st round, and the wbc champ Trevor Berbick in 2 round , and larry holmes in 4 round is that normal?
@SnakeEaterSx foreman is better than tyson, spinks was a lhw, berbick is nothing great, holmes was 38, so thats not unbelieveable. foreman tko'd frazier in 2 now thats not normal. tyson wouldnt doesnt fight like foreman so ali wouldnt do that. tyson was frustrated wih tillis, tucker and others. ali was mile better than those fighters. he would school tyson, and foreman would MURDER him.
@messier991102 halmes was 38 just came out of a 3 year retirement, and out pointed tyson in 3 round and even in the 4th untill the nockout. tyson turned down 20m to fight foreman that says it all.
@messier991102 and yeah . to proof foreman style can't be compared to tyson when foreman fought ali ..
and got him in the ropes for like 30 sec .. he just throw body punches and body punches , and Did not take advantage of that opportunity to knock ali out .. if tyson was in that situation he will give ali that famous 4 body punchs and deadly uppercut .. or like he did with larry Straight stunning punch !
@messier991102 They are both great fights in the history of boxing. They were both great for different reasons, but i agree with you. For my money i go with George Foreman. But Jack Dempsy would mop the floor with either fighter ;)
overrating tyson is an oxymoron in my opinion. That guy was a total monster. You can say whatever you want about his opponents, but there's no question he was the baddest man on the planet for a few years. Him and Foreman are my two favorite fighters. I like Tyson better, and think he would demolish George, but you have to give Foreman credit for being ridiculously monstrous. That's the only fight I really wish had happened but didn't. How could it not have been great?
@messier991102 the first person to land the first big punch would win. tyson hit about as hard as foreman did but his punches were way faster i think tyson would KO him because of his superior hand speed
@codeman95291 no tyson doesnt hit anywhere near foremans level. in alot of his fights his opponents (that lasted long) always said they werent impressed with his power but his speed. ribalta said bonecrusher smith his harder. some of the shots ribalta and others took from tyson they wouldnt take from foreman. style wise its an awful mathcup for tyson. hes not as aggressive as joe,nor is he an inside fighter like joe, but he still is very aggressive, and is ognna get manhandled. foreman ko 3
@bill23138 well seeing how you think tyson is better than frazier, oyu still show me you have know boxing knowledge. they have completely different styles, tyson is an explosive midrange fighter joe is a swarmer
@bill23138 lol its funny because frazier is overall better than tyson and tyson wasnt evena swarmer or a great inside fighter. he was a great midrange fighter.
@messier991102 yea everyone knows frazier would beat up tyson i mean his son sure gave tyson a run for his money and they had the same styles and same chin also how long was that fight again?
@bill23138 yea because everyone knows that marvis was just as good as joe and maybe even better, considering holmes kod him in 2. lol, yea marvis would give ali three fights of pure hell, you stupid fuck, you obviously dont know about frazier and boxing for that matter, stop commenting stupid fuck.
@messier991102 i never said his son was as good i said same style and same chin which means even if joe was 10 times better he still has the same style (which is suicide against a power puncher) and they both have that same weak ass frazier chin that tyson would knock out in a round
@bill23138 no his style is suicide aginst foreman dumbass. and marvis was backing up aginst tyson into the ropes, dumbfuck joe only came forward, which would work against tyson because he lacked inside game. and cant deal with joes pressure, and he isnt anywhere near foremans lvl in terms of brute strength, so hes not pushing joe off,so he is forced to fight on the inside. plus if joe had a chin like marvis, how did he fight with ali for over 40 rounds and marvis didnt last 1 with holmes.
@bill23138 whoops first round holmes tkod marvis, its not a big surprise tyson did, joe would have done also. you really show how fucking stupid you are saying marvis was the same as joe, you ignorant cunt
@bill23138 and the funny thing is joe never got ko'd only tko'd tyson got ko'd by douglas, who isnt anywhere near foremans lvl,and he wouldnt hurt joe, tyson may have slightly a better chin, but joe cant take punishment better than anyone, and tyson would also get killed against foreman, you know nothing
@messier991102 douglas fought a perfect fight that night maybe u should watch it he would of beat ali that night he was flawless are u fucking stupid tyson had a way better chin tyson would of beat foreman joe got tossed around like a rag doll
@bill23138 lol ok tyson cocksucker, i have watched the fight, it proves tyson had alot of weaknesses,i dont thinkg you understand styles. when you get 2 guys of similar stature, and one is tougher, has better stamina throws more punches and is the better inside fighter he is gonna win. tyson like his oppo fighting backwards, and cowering in fear. joe does neither of these. proof tyson had a better chin, did he fight the hardest hitter of all time and on top of that was bad stylistic matchup?
@bill23138 joe would have killed douglas,LOL douglas beating ali, of course because he beats tyson he can beat everyone. and foreman would MURDER tyson
@messier991102 foreman is to slow and has no style tyson would kill foreman and that night buster fought a perfect fight dude im not saying hes better than anyone but that night he fought a flawless fight foreman is to slow tyson would kill him on the inside
@bill23138 if frazier who is superior on the inside to tyson gets murdered by foreman then tyson is. tyson isnt even an inside fighter, and as soon as he is in range hes gonna get hit. frazier also had great head movement and he got hit, idc how slow foreman is he is a bad matchup for tyson and would kill him
@messier991102 no fuckin way watch tyson vs reggie gross and i promise its more interesting than one of fraziers fights tyson had way better head movement than frazier and was a better inside fighter in his prime
@bill23138 lol ok, its a weel known fact that tyson wasnt a good inside fighter. and for your info dumbass frazier has the highest duck slip ratio in hw history, so he made his oppo miss more punches than tyson did. tyson wasnt half he inside fighter joe was, not even close
@messier991102 u are fuckin stupid dude in tysons prime he was better at slipin punches than joe and he was a better inside fighter because he hit harder and didnt miss
@bill23138 lol tyson at most was a mediocre inside fighter he was a great midrange fighter not an inside fighter, and joe has a higher duck slip ratio than tyson so how did tyson slip more.
@messier991102 dude tyson stoped moving his head after prison and also go watch tyson vs fergeson he destroyed that guys face on the inside u dumb bum
@avreeves i know tyson was great. but the funny thing is only 2 on that list were HOFers. spinks went in as a lhw, he was a great lhw but not hw. and holmes was fucking 38 years old and it ws his first fight in 2 years. ruddock and bruno were good, but ruddock was never focused and never followed the gameplan, and bruno always got shook when hit hard
@avreeves frazier didnt use the peek a boo style, patterson did and was just as skilled as tyson was maybe even more, patterson was more versatile just not as big
@Gabriel34534 "....tyson in his prime kod everyone less then 3 minutes...."
kid, definitely you are mentally retarded. and you know absolutely nothing about boxing. george foreman was all wrong for tyson, styles make fights and foreman would rape your hero tyson in 2-4 rounds. even old foreman 89-91 would have chance to knock out peak tyson.get a nice day kid.

Foreman had huge arms full of power. I don't think that there has ever been a heavy weight champ with arms that big. His problem was he tired in the later round sometimes, which is not unusual for someone that size. He was a great fighter overall though, really enjoyed watching his bouts.

Why do u think George hits the hardest? how did u come about that "opinion" Was it based on something solid or u actually know little of the fight game?
TEMUJINARTS 3 months ago
@TEMUJINARTS He has one of the highest ko ratios ever..second only to Marciaon..and he puts huge dents in oversized punching bags. He put Joe Frazier out twice, George Chuvalo, and those guys were once thought impossible to knock out. Ernie Shavers couldnt knock out Tex Cobb..George Foreman knocked out much better fighters than Tex Cobb
ah93704 3 months ago
@ah93704 let me tell u something. Listen well. Actually, im not gonna do the talking, just tell u about what others said. Now, ppl have been hit by shavers and foreman agree that it does not go to goerge. Also, like speed, goerge had a very different kind of power. Again, not my words, but from ppl who have been there and know. Not like u with ur formulations, and theories like a ko ratio and dents in bags. I love Foreman but i dont speak nonsense due to my love. So pls do some more work
TEMUJINARTS 3 months ago
@TEMUJINARTS Ali and Norton both disliked Foremanand would never give him the credit they deserve. That is why they say Shavers hit harder. The fact is, though, foreman had the greater arsenal. He could punch with his left and his right whereas Shavers could really only hit with his right hand. Shavers had no chin either nor endurance. Lyle kncoked the piss out of Shavers yet got knocked out by foreman. Lyle, out of jealousy, said Shavers hit harder. Dont you see how unreliabe it is?
ah93704 3 months ago
@ah93704 Also, its funny that u brought up Chuvalo, cuz ive talked to him and a few others about that matter and others. If u have done the same id love to know to sit down and compare notes and share stories. If u havent dont waste my time with ur take on the issue based on nothing more than ur precious opinion created from nothing but ur of ego by the way of u thinking u can surmise things from what u dont know of or little about.
Also lots of guys make dents like that on the bag
TEMUJINARTS 3 months ago

Holyfield would have a better chance agains young foreman but still no way. Holy being taller than tyson with greater mobility and hand speed might be able to win a couple of early rounds. If he could last eight or nine rounds foreman might run out of gas but before that happen foreman would stun holy whose pride would draw him inside to brawl and hurt foreman back which he may well do but he would be now fighting foreman's fight. holy's chin and heart would keep him but judge would stop it.
bobber0623 5 months ago
@bobber0623 holy is taller and tougher than mike, and more versatile, but no way his hands are faster
messier991102 5 months ago
no way tyson could have beat a young geogre foreman. His only chance would be to immoblize geogre with body shots til geogre ran out of gas but no way Tyson gets in close with that long foreman jab. no way he survives the thunderous punches of foreman which with his height and weight behind them were the most powerful in heavyweight history. Tyson goes out early suffering the fate of Frazier and Norton cause of Foreman's tremendous size and power advantage
bobber0623 5 months ago
@bobber0623 Agreed, Foreman would really destroy Tyson. Although Foreman beat Joe Frazier, I'd still say Frazier was a great boxer, especially considering he was, what... 5'11? He was competing with people at least 3 inches taller than him on average. Not to mention Frazier had crazy power in his punches as well.

Timurchin1 6 months ago

Ztnarf1985 6 months ago
@Ztnarf1985 hoop off tysons nuts. he was overrated. George does have a big punch. but guys like Shannon Briggs has bigger one punch power, Lennox had a bigger punch and Wladimir is probably the hardest hitter of em all.
George was like Vitali. and acumulation puncher. Tyson had flash KDs. Guys like Lennox and Wlad punches destroy. It's like being hit with a sledgehammer.
Marciano?? nigga please. He was a LHW
Szekler11 6 months ago
@Szekler11 Foreman hit Joe so hard he made him skip half-way across the ring. Wladimir he has a punch but that is because he is like 6'7 and weights like 250+ if the man don't not have a punch then there is something wrong..However still I think that foreman had the most powerful punches and he could knock you out with either handthe man was scary.Ali would not even watch Foreman hit the heavybag before there fight, Foreman hit the bag so hard he would leave a dent in the bag
Ztnarf1985 6 months ago
@Ztnarf1985 Vitali isnt a onepunch KO artist like Wlad because of his style. He is mainly a counter puncher, he uses mostly arm punches, which have weakenned over in his last few fight due to age. He doenst use leverage. still he has enough strenght, being a big man to wear down and KO an opponent. He has a freakish KO%ge. Foreman is simmilar, although he fought mostly smaller fighters. Frazier was no bigger than a CW, that why he got smacked around. He would do no better aggainst a prime Vitali
Szekler11 6 months ago
@Szekler11 the size of a watermelon just from only 10 minutes of punching it..And Marciano was the HARDEST hitter ever for his SIZE..EVER that man ended career's he was a animal he lacked boxing skills and form..but he had chin, heart and the susie q his right hand watch him knock out Jersey Joe it is so brutal it is hard to watch..keep it going,,lol

boredstudent 6 months ago
Tyson swarmed his opponents, he went inside and unleashed his combos, powerful and fast, good head movement and he could bob and weave.
But foreman was just a puncher, he had no footwork, no head movement, less speed, he had a lot of power thought and i think a prime tyson could handle a prime foreman
95westsidefrank 6 months ago

TenTonHorse 5 months ago
@TenTonHorse No but remember Styles make fights and Tyson's style is little similar to Frazier's only Tyson would last a little longer than Frazier cause of his athleticism but that doesn't mean I have something against Tyson and I'm a fan of him, Frazier, and Foreman.
Brownpride480 5 months ago
@Brownpride480 If Tyson uses the Rooney-era style, he has little chance. He could try and counter straight after a Foreman punch (and not evade a few to measure up an attack like he used to) and then try and finish Foreman (HUGE task - Lyle, Holyfield), or keep this up for a few rounds and wear Foreman down (more realistic), but Foreman only has to land once, and he can push Tyson away if he swarms. Do you think there's a strategy Tyson could use to improve his chances?
TenTonHorse 5 months ago
@TenTonHorse he would have some chances if he had Rooney with him but still even with Rooney he still didn't have a great pacing with his stamina but was a better boxer though but because of his pacing problems I think Tyson would struggle a lot more than Holyfield and Lyle from trying to take out Big George which was one of the reasons why Tyson never wanted to fight George Foreman cause he was of afraid of losing to him even though they're both past their primes.
Brownpride480 5 months ago
@TenTonHorse and Believe me Tyson's stamina is not even close to Frazier's
Brownpride480 5 months ago
@TenTonHorse and when it comes to strategy Ali used the rope-a-dope to beat Foreman which it worked and as for Tyson I can't really think of anything else that can improve his chances of beating Foreman cause of his height and reach.
Brownpride480 5 months ago
@Brownpride480 Thanks for commenting. Against Foreman, good height and long reach is crucial. A young Ali (and maybe Holmes?) would be a problem for Foreman since he could keep out of his reach, pepper him with jabs, and wear him down. Tyson's reach was small for a middleweight - 71 inches, Hagler was 76. Tyson would have to abandon his trademark style and do something different to stand a chance.
TenTonHorse 5 months ago
@TenTonHorse ehm tyson was no middleweight hahahha

@messier991102 Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks were both awesome boxers and Tyson demolished them very quickly. And by the way it is you're not your. :-)
kieranmatiz 7 months ago
@kieranmatiz spinks was great but a lwh and acared shitless. and holmes was 38, clearly no where near his prime
messier991102 7 months ago
@messier991102 your LWH argument doesn't wash with me given the career Evander Holyfield had from the C-weights into Heavyweights. They can become great heavyweights. Also he's a professional boxer. Fear is definitely not an excuse. Larry Holmes is one of the all time greats. On top of that you have Trevor Berbick. Marvin Frazier could have been a great boxer if Tyson didn't demolish him so conclusively, his career leading up to Tyson was on its way. There's also Razor Ruddock. Tyrell Biggs.
kieranmatiz 7 months ago
@messier991102 Mitch Green. Frank Bruno. Carl The Truth Williams. The Bonecrusher and even in his later year Botha. All good boxers. He defeated a lot of great boxers, he ended so many promising careers.
kieranmatiz 7 months ago
@kieranmatiz good not even close to great, none are in the HOF. he only defeated 2 great and 1 was a LHW he other was 38. he defeated good but there is a large margin between good and great
messier991102 7 months ago
@messier991102 They made an Ali movie, I hope they make one about George Foreman. His story is just as compelling and amazing as Ali's. Foreman's story needs to be told, his comeback at 38 years old and then winning the HW title in his 40s...now that is movie worthy...
vladiator100 7 months ago
@messier991102 You're overrating foreman to the maximum, i mean he's great but look at his style it's will not work with tyson, i saw video of foreman training i was like wat the hell! he punch heavy bag hard with right hand hard and hard and hard. what kind of training is that? look at tyson training. Strong as frazier fast as ali
and yeah. you can't rate fighter like that .. he got spinks in 1st round, and the wbc champ Trevor Berbick in 2 round , and larry holmes in 4 round is that normal?
SnakeEaterSx 7 months ago
@SnakeEaterSx foreman is better than tyson, spinks was a lhw, berbick is nothing great, holmes was 38, so thats not unbelieveable. foreman tko'd frazier in 2 now thats not normal. tyson wouldnt doesnt fight like foreman so ali wouldnt do that. tyson was frustrated wih tillis, tucker and others. ali was mile better than those fighters. he would school tyson, and foreman would MURDER him.
messier991102 7 months ago
@messier991102 halmes was 38 just came out of a 3 year retirement, and out pointed tyson in 3 round and even in the 4th untill the nockout. tyson turned down 20m to fight foreman that says it all.
MrLukedanger 7 months ago
@messier991102 and yeah . to proof foreman style can't be compared to tyson when foreman fought ali ..
and got him in the ropes for like 30 sec .. he just throw body punches and body punches , and Did not take advantage of that opportunity to knock ali out .. if tyson was in that situation he will give ali that famous 4 body punchs and deadly uppercut .. or like he did with larry Straight stunning punch !
SnakeEaterSx 7 months ago
@messier991102
tyson turn down 20 milion he didnt want to fight george even at foremans age
lbj6mj23 7 months ago
@messier991102 They are both great fights in the history of boxing. They were both great for different reasons, but i agree with you. For my money i go with George Foreman. But Jack Dempsy would mop the floor with either fighter ;)
KuraiFuyu05 6 months ago
@KuraiFuyu05 no foreman would kill dempsey, demolish him, tyon would also beat dempsey, but foreman would ko him in 1 or 2.
messier991102 6 months ago
@messier991102
overrating tyson is an oxymoron in my opinion.

@messier991102 the first person to land the first big punch would win. tyson hit about as hard as foreman did but his punches were way faster i think tyson would KO him because of his superior hand speed
codeman95291 5 months ago
@codeman95291 no tyson doesnt hit anywhere near foremans level. in alot of his fights his opponents (that lasted long) always said they werent impressed with his power but his speed. ribalta said bonecrusher smith his harder. some of the shots ribalta and others took from tyson they wouldnt take from foreman. style wise its an awful mathcup for tyson. hes not as aggressive as joe,nor is he an inside fighter like joe, but he still is very aggressive, and is ognna get manhandled. foreman ko 3

messier991102 5 months ago
@bill23138 lol its funny because frazier is overall better than tyson and tyson wasnt evena swarmer or a great inside fighter. he was a great midrange fighter.
messier991102 5 months ago
@messier991102 yea everyone knows frazier would beat up tyson i mean his son sure gave tyson a run for his money and they had the same styles and same chin also how long was that fight again?
bill23138 5 months ago
@bill23138 yea because everyone knows that marvis was just as good as joe and maybe even better, considering holmes kod him in 2. lol, yea marvis would give ali three fights of pure hell, you stupid fuck, you obviously dont know about frazier and boxing for that matter, stop commenting stupid fuck.
messier991102 5 months ago
@messier991102 i never said his son was as good i said same style and same chin which means even if joe was 10 times better he still has the same style (which is suicide against a power puncher) and they both have that same weak ass frazier chin that tyson would knock out in a round
bill23138 5 months ago
@bill23138 no his style is suicide aginst foreman dumbass. and marvis was backing up aginst tyson into the ropes, dumbfuck joe only came forward, which would work against tyson because he lacked inside game. and cant deal with joes pressure, and he isnt anywhere near foremans lvl in terms of brute strength, so hes not pushing joe off,so he is forced to fight on the inside. plus if joe had a chin like marvis, how did he fight with ali for over 40 rounds and marvis didnt last 1 with holmes.
messier991102 5 months ago
@bill23138 whoops first round holmes tkod marvis, its not a big surprise tyson did, joe would have done also. you really show how fucking stupid you are saying marvis was the same as joe, you ignorant cunt
messier991102 5 months ago
@bill23138 and the funny thing is joe never got ko'd only tko'd tyson got ko'd by douglas, who isnt anywhere near foremans lvl,and he wouldnt hurt joe, tyson may have slightly a better chin, but joe cant take punishment better than anyone, and tyson would also get killed against foreman, you know nothing
messier991102 5 months ago
@messier991102 douglas fought a perfect fight that night maybe u should watch it he would of beat ali that night he was flawless are u fucking stupid tyson had a way better chin tyson would of beat foreman joe got tossed around like a rag doll
bill23138 5 months ago
@bill23138 lol ok tyson cocksucker, i have watched the fight, it proves tyson had alot of weaknesses,i dont thinkg you understand styles. when you get 2 guys of similar stature, and one is tougher, has better stamina throws more punches and is the better inside fighter he is gonna win. tyson like his oppo fighting backwards, and cowering in fear. joe does neither of these. proof tyson had a better chin, did he fight the hardest hitter of all time and on top of that was bad stylistic matchup?
messier991102 5 months ago
@bill23138 joe would have killed douglas,LOL douglas beating ali, of course because he beats tyson he can beat everyone. and foreman would MURDER tyson
messier991102 5 months ago
@messier991102 foreman is to slow and has no style tyson would kill foreman and that night buster fought a perfect fight dude im not saying hes better than anyone but that night he fought a flawless fight foreman is to slow tyson would kill him on the inside
bill23138 5 months ago
@bill23138 if frazier who is superior on the inside to tyson gets murdered by foreman then tyson is. tyson isnt even an inside fighter, and as soon as he is in range hes gonna get hit. frazier also had great head movement and he got hit, idc how slow foreman is he is a bad matchup for tyson and would kill him
messier991102 5 months ago
@messier991102 no fuckin way watch tyson vs reggie gross and i promise its more interesting than one of fraziers fights tyson had way better head movement than frazier and was a better inside fighter in his prime
bill23138 5 months ago
@bill23138 lol ok, its a weel known fact that tyson wasnt a good inside fighter. and for your info dumbass frazier has the highest duck slip ratio in hw history, so he made his oppo miss more punches than tyson did. tyson wasnt half he inside fighter joe was, not even close
messier991102 5 months ago
@messier991102 u are fuckin stupid dude in tysons prime he was better at slipin punches than joe and he was a better inside fighter because he hit harder and didnt miss
bill23138 5 months ago
@bill23138 lol tyson at most was a mediocre inside fighter he was a great midrange fighter not an inside fighter, and joe has a higher duck slip ratio than tyson so how did tyson slip more.
