@Jay12345able Sammartino was the biggest draw for the WWE in 60s, 70s, and early 80s. Competition was tough and WWE needed to establish themselves as a competitor to AWA and NWA. Sammartino and Vince Sr. had the similar relationship in that of Hogan, Bret, Austin, Cena and Vince Jr.

That sure sounded like young Vince McMahon, who didn't start working for his Dad until the '70's -- and he mentions MSG towards the end.

The big show at Fenway was in June of 1969...the main event was Bruno vs. Killer in a stretcher match, which Bruno won by yanking a chair from Kowalski and laying him out with it.

That was quite a card, Wrestlemania (minus the glitz) almost 15 years early.
