  • @982alexander then u might have some medical problems :)

  • Absolutamente espectacular!

  • Joshua - one of a kind; what an enhancement to the music world; he's the Yehudi Menuhin or David Oistrach of the 21st; maybe better, more sensual, more ... just imagine; and listen, just listen...

  • I love this song, I love Joshua bell, and I especially love that picture you used :)

And he's quite the looker too. :)

  • @iHondeux I love him, for me he is the best violinplayer with feeling for the music, the first time I saw him was in the film Ladies of Lavender, I am 76 years old and happy to enjoy this wonderful music he makes, Dinkie.

  • That bassoon is beautiful!!!

  • after listening it you feel happy and at the same time you want to cry....1:30, 2:45 - starts AMAZING PART

  • VegetarianGirl10, have you ever hear the Tito Schipa version? I also mis Mr. Pavarotti.

  • So beautiful, although personally, I like it vocally better. I've accompanied many performances of this wonderful piece and it never fails to move me to tears.

  • Gracias por compartir. 5 * * * * *

    Les deseo un feliz día.

    Abrazos y Paz!

  • The first time I heard this sang by Pavarotti (R.I.P.) I felt it in my heart... you either love it the first time you hear it or you don't.

  • @VegetarianGirl10

Just wonderful, masterfully interpreted. I have seen Joshua Bell twice in Miami and would see huma hundred. Missing Luciano Pavarotti too and yes, this is a very touching aria.

  • In reference to the notes below posted by "michaelikel"--I tried out these notes on my violin and could not make them fit anything until I found myself playing liebestraum. (!?!)

    Does this help?

    Klv

  • One of the best melodies ever composed, not mentioning the artist's skills and style.

  • Bernard P. --It's not pomposity but knowledge -as for

taste some people got it and some ain't got it . You'll

    get there .

  • bravo.bellisimo

Selles.

    Airton de Oliveira

Campinas - São Paulo - Brasil

  • Eres mi idolo, ERES LO MÁXIMO .

  • Bellísimo. Inspira paz.

  • This is played just the way a very

bad tenor would sing it - it

is being pulled to tatters -Bell

often shows better taste than this .

  • thank god we have your limitless well of pomposity to guide us on matters of taste and music!

  • @dziady1 Could you give us some details about what you didn't like, please?

  • interessante storia

  • beautiful

  • I'm pretty sure the bassoon solo is what makes this piece amazing. But Bell is pretty good to I guess.

  • preciosaaaaaa.....!!!!!!

  • I hope this was a joke. Joaquin was perfect in two lovers.

"With 'Two Lovers,' Gray has once again delivered a rare Hollywood film that continues to earn him praise in France, while American audiences stand in line for easily-forgettable Hollywood romances like 'He's Just Not That Into You'."

I miei sospir, confondere Per poco a' suoi sospir! I palpiti, i palpiti sentir, Confondere i miei coi suoi sospir Cielo, si puo morir! Di piu non chiedo, non chiedo. Ah!

    Negli occhi suoi spunto:

    Quelle festose giovani

    Invidiar sembro.

    Che piu cercando io vo?

    Che piu cercando io vo?

M'ama! Sì, m'ama, lo vedo, lo vedo.

  • WAOU !!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you!

  • me da escalofrios

  • wonderful!!!

just like talking with the moon

  • gorgeous. I've heard this fabulous aria from Enrico Caruso to the many present day tenors. It chills my bones.

    Thank you!

  • I love it!!!

  • cada vez que "OUVO"!

    LOL

  • MARAVILHOSO!!!

  • super beautiful, where were those who didn´t paid any atention?????

  • I just cant believe noone recognice him whem he performed in the metro station in D.C.

  • there is this one piece i heard him play. it was when he was like 10 years ago on the bbc documentary on him.

all i remember is that it goes something like

    "b, c, c#, d, c#, e---, d, c, b, bb, b, d, c, e---, f, f#, g, b, a, f#, d, e.......

    does anyone have any idea.

  • That's probably Schon Rosmarin by Kreisler.

  • Bravo!!

    **

  • FABULOSO!!!

  • Sensational!

  • Saw him a couple of hours ago performing Tchaikovsky, conducted by Max Vengerov! No lie, it was the opening Gala Concert of the Yehudi Menhuhin Young Musician of the Year Competition in St Davids Hall in Cardiff. Superb experience!!!

  • I heard that it was great! (Of course..) Luckyluckylucky you!

  • I don´t have any conmentary, i just want to cry. So beautiful

  • photobucket

  • and you know this for a fact, mary????

  • I love Joshua Bell, i met him the other day. He is really cool, and really nice!

  • Yeah. My mom him in the airport-AMAZING! It was a once in a lifetime chance.

  • Where is this picture from?

  • I think it is just a famous photo of him-On a program that I saw when I went to go see him perform, that was the picture. I think it is just a picture that goes around.

  • It is as you say, used on the program of the concert I saw just a few hours ago.

  • thanks

  • where can I have this music sheet? who can help me. please.

  • I think he doesnt have a big tone in this peice because hes trying to show emotion and make you listen more carefully

  • dude, this reminds me of the opera-singing Fratelli from the Goonies!! By the way, Josh Bell is awesome!!

  • chills down my spine....

  • Stirring! Lovely song played with passion. Glad to have stumbled upon this little gem.

  • This is such a wonderful song. I love his album entitled " Voice of the Violin." I think that CD has some of his greatest songs on it.

  • God I just want to have his children...

!!! .... no ahi punto de komparacion aki ....

  • beautifully sad.

  • joshua is truley a gifted violinist and i hopeto play like him someday!!!1

  • lol good luck, wouldn't we all like to play like him? hehe (the good luck wasn't sarcastic, by the way, I really mean it!)

  • How Beautiful!!!!!!

  • I'm a performing violinist of low caliber. This freebie by Joshua Bell shows the departure of highly qualified violinists from the standard reclusive manner great violinists have in the past developed their image. Here, the violinist takes a song that doesn't need words. Actually the words are pretty downright sad.... On violin, it is just simply beautiful. Great job - great encore piece. Thanks.

  • at school, we're watching this film called "milagro in Roma" and there's this character in there who is a tenor and he sings this piece over and over again.

Of course, Joshua Bell plays it more beautifully though. :]

  • He just played last night in Eugene. WOW!

  • He's such a wonderful human being. I saw him in person, once!!!! When he was there to sign his autograph.

  • Wow! That was really beautiful!!

  • welcome to the world of Joshua Bell... I saw him 5 times last year in concert... He is truly a very gifted musician.

  • He's amazing! Check out also David Garrett and Xenia. Young, beautiful and SO TALENTED!

  • Thank-you for posting this!!!!! It is so enchanting that i listened to it over and over! I was looking for something else and accidentally found this music. Now i am going to check out all of Joshua bell's other music.

  • So beautiful. Could anyone tell us where to get the music sheet of it? Thank you.

  • im gonnaq see him in October. i cant wait. joshua bell is an amazing player.

  • Wow! Joshua Bell is amazing! Too bad I can't

    find any of his Prokofiev!

  • Joshua Bell's violin playing is out-of-this world! I discovered him in the film "Ladies in Lavender", where his music is used throughout the film. Ah, what a prodigy! Thank you for sharing!

  • Magnifica

  • Impossibly beautiful. Thanks for sharing this.

  • Bellissimo!

  • love it

and what's all that about stradivarius???***

  • Beautiful. Thank you so much!

  • Millones de gracias FlorenceAshley. Podría decirnos dónde podemos comprar este CD ó DVD?

  • Listening to this music gave me delightful shivers... Bellissimo bellissimo Bell and his equally bellissimo bellissimo Stradivarius... Thank you, Florence Ashley, for posting this.

  • thank you bryanmurray for spelling it correctly.

    its stradivarius.

    not strativarious

i know its hard to keep STRATocaster and STRADivarius apart but let's try shall we?

  • that's why the band's named STRATOVARIUS LOL :D

  • its a stradivarius.... only one t

    anyway

    bell is great

and yes the instrument has some affect on the sound, but there are so many other skills needed to play a violin to make it sound good.

  • This is a beautiful piece, just what I expect from Josh Bell. Nothing to challenging, just good, plain romantic.

  • my teacher told me about him

    He helped him or something,

The Strat does help sound a lot. My music teacher has one and let me, a clumsy 15 year old, play on it. It felt really good. You don't even have to press hard at all.

  • i've had enough of making deep comments about people whos skill on the violin far outshines anything im capable of in my lifetime. so i shall merely add ".....and he's rather hot with it!" there. finished

  • beautiful!!

i have this CD! everyone shud go get it

    cuz its amazing

  • Its the performer far more han the instrument...

    Great musical storytelling......

Would've loved to hear Heifetz or Milstein do this piece...stlll better for the voice than for the fiddle though...

  • Yea, true. A novice using a strat would sound worse than bell using a $100 violin. But the violin does affect the way the violinist sounds.

Who's the best out of these: Heifetz, Milstein, or Bell?

  • I really dont think it could be any better tklogan11809 simply because he has the best violin in the world. A Stratovarious...

  • I didn't think someone could make this music even more beautiful, but there you have it!

  • nice
