Great voice, a real legend. Please if you have the time take a look at my take on this. It is a great song and I hope I did it justice, /watch?v=BgbDA_GR5EU , thanks.
Joshua - one of a kind; what an enhancement to the music world; he's the Yehudi Menuhin or David Oistrach of the 21st; maybe better, more sensual, more ... just imagine; and listen, just listen...
@iHondeux I love him, for me he is the best violinplayer with feeling for the music, the first time I saw him was in the film Ladies of Lavender, I am 76 years old and happy to enjoy this wonderful music he makes, Dinkie.
So beautiful, although personally, I like it vocally better. I've accompanied many performances of this wonderful piece and it never fails to move me to tears.
Just wonderful, masterfully interpreted. I have seen Joshua Bell twice in Miami and would see huma hundred. Missing Luciano Pavarotti too and yes, this is a very touching aria.
In reference to the notes below posted by "michaelikel"--I tried out these notes on my violin and could not make them fit anything until I found myself playing liebestraum. (!?!)
I hope this was a joke. Joaquin was perfect in two lovers.
"With 'Two Lovers,' Gray has once again delivered a rare Hollywood film that continues to earn him praise in France, while American audiences stand in line for easily-forgettable Hollywood romances like 'He's Just Not That Into You'."
I miei sospir, confondere Per poco a' suoi sospir!

Saw him a couple of hours ago performing Tchaikovsky, conducted by Max Vengerov! No lie, it was the opening Gala Concert of the Yehudi Menhuhin Young Musician of the Year Competition in St Davids Hall in Cardiff. Superb experience!!!
I think it is just a famous photo of him-On a program that I saw when I went to go see him perform, that was the picture. I think it is just a picture that goes around.
I'm a performing violinist of low caliber. This freebie by Joshua Bell shows the departure of highly qualified violinists from the standard reclusive manner great violinists have in the past developed their image. Yea, true. A novice using a strat would sound worse than bell using a $100 violin. But the violin does affect the way the violinist sounds.
