  • this is so sick that I am pucking right now

  • discharge power and truth when metal took notice

  • Fuck Metallica, we don't need another sell out band discussion on a punk video.

  • Fuck Metallica :D Disbeat forever :D

  • Comment removed

  • fuck i hear em even in eyehategod

  • I like that one Discharge song where the beat changes slightly and then he shouts out the name of the song a couple of times and then it goes back to the normal beat, and it does all that a couple of times throughout the song

  • @monkeymagoo47 That, would be called, the typical Discharge song. It never really bugged me that the songs had the same layout. Hell, I like the layout they all have.

  • @MillionsOfDeadCops5 Same here, I actually think its badass haha. That's just something I've noticed about a lot of their songs

  • @monkeymagoo47 Hahaha, basic, yet fucking badass.

  • @MillionsOfDeadCops5 Exactly, no unnecessary bullshit

  • 懐かしい・・・高校生の頃に聴きまくったな。

    Thank you !! (o・ω´・o)b

  • why still people glorify metallica? they don`t play metal since 1988. Discharge rules! that`s why i an here!

  • why are people talking about metallica on a discharge video???? Metallica isnt even in the same league as this.

  • @Crackedcopskulls In my opinion they're better, but that is just my taste. And why can people not discuss other artists on youtube comments?

  • @Crackedcopskulls, People are talking about Metallica here because the guys in Metallica loved and were influenced by Disharge. They even covered some Discharge songs.

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN Hahaha nice ! And now they earn indecent amount of money for doing shit... Fuck Metallica wankers ! These guys can't understand what punk is all about (and Ulrich can't play punk music, he is just too bad).

  • Kick's like a bastard.

  • Fuch yeah original like this band and The Exploited

  • Worst d-beat band ever.

  • @flemingia Did you know that the "d" in D-Beat stands for "Discharge"?

  • @TheSouthernKiller80 Yes. I was hoping to get a more violent reaction from d-beat fans.

  • @flemingia hahahahahahaha

  • cause of death: over moshing.

  • Discharge could have been so much better. The structure of their vocals wasn't great. They had everything else. The only thing they lacked was poetic lyrics that fit with the rhythm of the music. Still a great band though.

  • Saw a cool new band called RABBITS last night in Medford. Pretty cool sludge/crust shit. They covered this for their final song, pretty good shit.

  • avril lavenge is more punq than dis, ur all posers

  • @ShalomGerusalemme im am the devil and i will kill u

  • @johnthegreek178

    D.R.I

  • @johnthegreek178 DISRUPT

  • @johnthegreek178 Agnostic Front and Cro-Mags

  • @johnthegreek178

    Anti-Cimex

  • @johnthegreek178 Wolfbrigade

  • @johnthegreek178 If you can find Life Of Dreams by Crumbsuckers I'd highly recommend it. For a whole summer it was nothing but that album on my turn table. Though many bands have done it first and right, in my opinion it's hands down the best mix of Hardcore and Metal ever made. Check out Animosity by C.O.C. as well, thats a close runner up for 1st in my book.

  • @johnthegreek178 Skitsystem, Nuclear Death Terror, Nausea, Disrupt, Drop Dead,

  • Can anyone doubt that this was one of the greatest punk/thrash/metal bands ever? And yes, they did influence Metallica but their sound was much more brutal!

  • If there was no Discharge there would be no Metallice fact !!!

  • @SuperHoll123

Actually Metallica were influenced by another Midlands band; Diamond Head

  • @PhilDY6 One of Cliff Burtons all time favourite bands was Discharge. Metallica has told in interviews that Cliff used always to go to the front of the gig bus and blast Discharge all the time on the road.

  • @SuperHoll123 actually it should be "if there was no Discharge, there would be no slayer"

  • @SuperHoll123 FACTFACTFACT!!! Lest we forget Broken Bones!

  • @SuperHoll123 if there wher no led zeppelin black sabbeth etc

there would never been hard rock fact think about it ;)

  • @TheStonerMatt don't ypu see somr kill'em all into this single track ?discharge was a major influence for metallica and they admited it.

  • @bloomcry okay

  • @SuperHoll123 And no Thrash Metal :(

  • @SuperHoll123 Well maybe, also look at the whole Nardcore scene which Metalica came from. Dr Know, Stalag 13 etc. Was a whole scene they drew on. So no one band.

  • @SuperHoll123 i beg to differ

  • @SuperHoll123 so true!

    metallica = motorhead + discharge

  • @gashloog

NWOBHM + Hardcore Punk = Thrash Metal

Metallica's specific influences go something like...

Diamond Head + Motorhead + Iron Maiden + Judas Priest + Black Sabbath + The Misfits + Discharge + Charged GBH + Black Flag. Because they were the collective influences of the 4 members. Cliff was a massive Misfits and Ramones fan, as well as liking some more obscure Jazzy stuff.

  • @skiiddo thanks for your response... i truly missed the NWOBHM part and the other ones too

  • @gashloog Wrong. Inepsy = Motorhead + Discharge

  • @SuperHoll123 amen to that!

  • Why is it tagged with oi...

  • @illusion0paw Who knows..

  • D-BEAT TILL THE FUCKING END!

  • the guitar is so angry & sick

  • what does (E) mean???

  • @Trevor9849 the e stands for equality, cuz without equality you cant have anarchy

  • I am just a real racist to metal. I am against anything long and boring stuff, like Metallica. Discharge is so hardcorepunk!

  • @aivopark i agree with you my metal friends laughs when i cant stand a song thats over 2 min

  • @aivopark Most metal fucking sucks, but theres no denying bands like Venom, Hellhammer, Motorhead, and Voivod kick ass!

  • Comment removed

  • @DigitalBeesTV Most metal fucking sucks? Is that a fact?

  • @MentulInfestashun Pretty much. Not saying there aren't a great number of amazing metal bands.

  • @DigitalBeesTV mate you've got no idea.

how much metal have you actually listened to?

  • @paddycakes1 Dude, I've been into Metal for awhile now, I know my fare share of it. Most of it just hasn't appalled to me. When I listen to metal I usually listen to Early, punk influenced or eerie as fuck Black Metal, Chaotic Death metal or a select few Thrash or Doom bands.

Understand I'm not some elitist douche who believes everything he doesn't listen too sucks, just that I believe the vast majority of metal isn't that great. We all got our preferences.

  • @DigitalBeesTV Even as a metalhead myself, I agree with you. There is an overwhelming majority of bands, especially today, who just fucking suck. The stuff I like too has a huge punk influence, such as Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, Venom, Bathory, Sodom, Blasphemy...

  • @guyofmetal

You said it. We are hopeless today.

  • @guyofmetal black metal actually doesnt have very much punk influence...

  • @AKstraightedge You are right when it comes to the popular trendy ones, but bands like blasphemy and celtic frost/hellhammer have cited discharge and doom as major influences. Same for Bathory.

  • @guyofmetal idk if id call doom punk. the only doom ive heard was grindcore. wiki does say they were crust at one point but i learned long ago not to trust wiki. but thats offtopic. the only "black metal" (in quotes because its not purely black metal) that ive heard (that ive LIKED actually) with clear punk musical influences is impaled nazarene. im not a huge fan of black metal so ill be the first to admit i dont know of very many black metal bands.

  • @AKstraightedge Doom definitely was more discharge oriented than grind, but you should decide for yourself. The beauty of music is that it is so interpretive. I find them to be more crust/hardcore, but someone else might have a different opinion. As for black metal, I agree, I.N. are cool. You should check out early Bathory too, the punk influence is very blatant.

  • @guyofmetal bathory isn't black metal. its proto-black metal... DUUUUUUUUH

  • @Morik521 Bathory is the one who pioneered the current sound of black metal as well as viking metal

  • @bloodyrockfire well no shit. and i was being sarcastic.

  • @AKstraightedge Doom from the UK is a crust punk band

  • @noobishdumbberry Well, they sound like it to me. but have your own interpretation.

  • @noobishdumbberry the recordings i have of them are straight up oldschool grind :/ also i dont remember what i said that would make you comment that :/

  • @AKstraightedge You said that you dont know if you'd call doom punk. And eh. Grindcore and crustpunk can sound close enough. lol. I guess Doom is.. Crustgrind. There we go. lol

  • @noobishdumbberry ahh sounds good to me. the only album i have is the greatest invention. if they have anything more "crusty" if you will, id love to hear it.

  • @AKstraightedge besides some percussive aspects and the whole DIY thing youre right.

  • @AKstraightedge indeed they don't...Blast beats *cought*

  • @Fritzlization hnnnggghhhhh blast beats were actually pioneered by jazz musicians over a decade before punk music evan began. nice try though.

  • @AKstraightedge most of the first wave black metal had punk influence and 2nd wave not really

  • @hoikevinhoi first wave was influenced by thrash, if you look into things properly.

  • @DigitalBeesTV Yeah dude. Early underground metal is the shit! Its all the greedy bullshit bands today that ruin it.

  • @aivopark Yeah, metal is totally a race.Oh, and not all metal sounds like metallica jackass. Go listen to some fucking devourment or something.

  • @MentulInfestashun Listen to your mom or the Iron Maiden or something heavy metal heaven.

  • how lame is it that i cant go to their gig tonight because im a broke bastard

  • FUCK YES!!!!!

  • One of the greatest, most brutal hardcore punk albums of all time.

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN I think " Why " mini album is better

  • Discharge fucking kicks ass.

  • tony bones = punk's eddie van halen

  • Comment removed

  • @Metalbrain89 remove thsi comment it insults bones!

  • this was the uk's answer to the dc hardcore scene: short, political and blisteringly fast. great stuff.

  • Comment removed

  • @dingram3 I'm glad you love this, but to think this was the 'answer' to the DC scene (and I love that stuff) is just misguided.... Discharge predate the Bad Brains and the earliest dischord releases, they were not influenced by USHC at all....

  • @BoycottStabb

i wasn't implying that discharge were influenced by dc. rather - that there were similarities between the two. in truth - many of the dc bands were quite influenced by cal and the boys. but, when you get right down to it, discharge didn't release a record til 1980 - i know, because i bought it when i came out - and it was right around the time i released a single on dischord (youth brigade). so the timelines aren't too far off. peace. danny

  • @dingram3 Mmm I get your meaning reading back your orig post, so apologies for the semi knee jerk interpretation. Your 7" wasn't to shabby either. Respect to you, man. For years I wanted to be 4 or five years older and born in DC, think my handle explains that.......
