  • Mine sounds best with the distortion at 2:00 and the output cranked. Perfect for all kinds of classic rock, but also a lot of modern stuff. I get a great "Always On The Run" tone (Slash's part - Rhythm AND lead) with my Les Paulie-type thing (which makes sense because my pickups have alnico II magnets as well). It's a very-smooth, yet dynamic... not Tubescreamey (and I love that about it). Just spent a solid hour with mine. Great for bedroom rockin', but excellent in a band-setting. Love it.

  • Can you tell me which of the knobs is the original one? I'm trying to date my Distortion +. It has those sort of hex-shaped, contoured-top knobs (as opposed to the wheel-shaped ones), and it's a darker shade of yellow (Grey-Poupon-yellow at it's lightest.... Darker even). No LED. No adaptor input (battery-only). The back has a thick, foam-rubber material (that HAS NOT disintegrated yet). Mine is noisy when it's on. Microphonic. Sounds awesome though. I always figured it was made between 79-81.

  • Is that the block logo one ?

  • thank u men

  • Does the trick
