An intelligently informed gamer. I already like this guy. I own all except the wii. I am sorry but the wii is to easy to cheat and it's motion controller is primitive and I think came earlier than it should have been. For games 360 is my choice as he mentions in part 2 and for OVERALL entertainment ps3 is a greattttttt choice it has blue ray, it has a web browser and the ps3 has free online play. So for overall multipurpose console I would say ps3 takes that cake.
@DarthRane113 I would say that each console has a different set of strengths. i got a wii for the lineup of first party games beacause i can depend on those to be enjoyable (except new super mario bros). i recently got a used 360 for the sole purpose of shmups, because with the current gen consoles xbox takes the cake for that hands down, no argument. I still need to check out the ps3, don't have enough knowledge to make a statement. i did think that the PSmove was a cash in for the wii's market

I have all three and I can say this: Nintendo is the only remnant of casual gaming left in the current generation. Therefore, I find myself spending more time on my Wii than my PS3 or my 360. Nintendo and Sony had it right by making the online multiplayer free and making their online products more manageable and buyable with the ease of the Nintendo Point system and the PlayStation Wallet to prevent any leftover funds, whereas the products on the XBL Marketplace is inconsistently priced.
@TheKingdomheart56 I have played the Wii before and it's just not fun to me, And you can't play any games in 3D, Wii games dont have t hat good graphics, and ps3 and Xbox just have better and more fun games. I found that having more friends to play with would make the experience fun, so I chose that console. Ultimately, if you want a versatile, all-purpose system, save up some money to get a PC. It comes with blu-ray, titles on xbox and ps3, and the PC is the most customizable.
I find the console war just gives the videogame companies free advertisement, it also destroys our relationships with each other as gamers and splits us apart.

Playstation 3 has better games, and Xbox has better online play, so I recommend you get the Ps3 and the Xbox, and I do not recommend the Wii. But if you could only get one, I would say the ps3, because you buy a gaming console to play games and Ps3 has better games.

It is a fact that Xbox Live is better that playstation network, but ps3 has a lot of fun playstation exclusive games that you can't play on Xbox like, uncharted, god of war, Ratchet & Clank, Killzone, socom 4, infamous, little big planet, and many more

Console warrers can go fuck themselves (scuse my language, but that's how I feel). While the Wii's library isn't that exciting right now, it still has games you can't get on the other platforms. As for the PS3 and XB360, the 360 doesn't have exclusives that appeal to me (the PS3 does) but when it comes to multiplats, I'll take whatever is more convenient because multiplat games on those systems are way too close.

graphics dont matter but the control layout and games do.wii is lacking the control layout for certain games.it was not exactly built for games like streetfighter.its built for having fun with family and friends.its not meant to have precise controls for games made for ps3 and xbox360.its simply not for people who want to play an actual game

Okay, let me correct you. I am a PS3 user, and I'm not a fanboy, hater, or moron. The PC community can get extremely butthurt JUST because they think consoles are inferior. While that is true, not everyone can afford a high end PC that they can keep up. I've played on the PC and had a LOT of fun with SWBF2 on it... It was golden times... Then the PC I use got old and slow, and new games were running REALLY slow... and this is how I'm stuck with PS3.

38 yr old gamer here. we (i and my 2 lil boys) have a 360. the only reason i want a ps3 is for god of war. that's not enough for me. i and my boys used to call the wii gay, but now we've changed our tune. they really want a wii, mainly because they've been playing old mario roms on the computer and they love it. sony was just arrogant to think every ps2 owner (including myself) would go and buy it despite the high price and all the extras (bluray) shoved down our throat.

@ONLINEpredator123 Well, first off, graphics doesn't really make a game and they are not that much important, and secondly, the Wii wouldn't be in this war if fanboys never had posted too much crap about it in the first place. :P As a gamer, I own a Wii and 360, I don't care which is better so long as they are very fun and entertaining.

They all have ther own problems:
Wii: Sucky web browser, controller connection isn't so good, and you have to pay for the DVD option.
360: Red Ring of Death, life span isn't so good, CDs scratch too easily, you have to pay to get online, MICSPAM MICSPAM MOTHER CLUCKIN MICSPAM.
PS3: Yellow light of death, PSN almost always gets hacked.
Also, they stole nintendo's idea. Just sayin', not saying nintendo's better.

@thesega99 360 : fixed ring of death so it no longer happen had mine for pretty around 2008 on christmas..... it still works good like new take better care of your cds and they wont scratch pay online due to pay for the protection so wont get hacked....
ps3: free online good but they don't pay good money for the protection against hackers

graphics dont matter but the control layout and games do.wii is lacking the control layout for certain games.it was not exactly built for games like streetfighter.its built for having fun with family and friends.its not meant to have precise controls for games made for ps3 and xbox360.its simply not for people who want to play an actual game

The 360 is best known for its online service and gameplay (even though you have to pay for it) and mature games. So if a person likes any of those things, then he/she could buy the console that has those features.

I understand that video games and consoles cost money, and they continue to add new features to the console which can change what a person thinks about the console. And people have different opinions. So you can actually find out yourself which console you like depending on their preferences.

So when someone wants to buy a console and can only afford ONE, they have a hard decision to make. So they start asking people which is worth buying. Someone tells that person that the PS3 is best and then someone else hears that and says 'no the 360 is best'. Now we have a REAL problem cause this involves real life money that someone worked hard for.....

(without watching advertisements lol)...... they go on the internet and look up console war videos/forums. So really, what people don't understand is that all these console war videos and forums help the consumer (as long as the video or forum actually has relevant information, and doesn't just say something like "360 sucks cause it's white")

Okay, let me correct you. I am a PS3 user, and I'm not a fanboy, hater, or moron. The PC community can get extremely butthurt JUST because they think consoles are inferior. While that is true, not everyone can afford a high end PC that they can keep up. I've played on the PC and had a LOT of fun with SWBF2 on it... It was golden times... Then the PC I use got old and slow, and new games were running REALLY slow... and this is how I'm stuck with PS3.

@MrUBtrollin2 one thing that made me mad with wii, is that its the NEWEST game console (except the ps3 move and the new xbox) and they made CoD:BO, and it took out many features, AND lowered the graphics. and yeah theres more good games for it other then re:4 but not too many. and my wii's sensor bar lost is really bad now. you have to be like 2 feet from it for it to work.

I only really go into the overhead-viewing Zelda games, I don't like Mario much, and in my opinion, pretty much the only great Metroid game was the first Metroid Prime. There is not too much of a difference now with my modern games and your redone classic games. And you listed 3 extremely well known classic games. If you want to be really taken as a classic gamer, mention stuff like battletoads or paperboy. I prefer my Xbox360.

38 yr old gamer here. we (i and my 2 lil boys) have a 360. the only reason i want a ps3 is for god of war. that's not enough for me. i and my boys used to call the wii gay, but now we've changed our tune. they really want a wii, mainly because they've been playing old mario roms on the computer and they love it. sony was just arrogant to think every ps2 owner (including myself) would go and buy it despite the high price and all the extras (bluray) shoved down our throat.

People get the console they feel is the best for THEM! I have a wii and think its the best for me... cuz I like running around instead of sitting in a corner with w silenced famas. My friends suck at COD so they feel the need to camp with OP guns but they are also self conscious. They all have xbox's because most people I see on xbox just camp with silencer, ghost, and 2nd chance. Im not stereotyping with this example, Im calling it like I see it.
