I don't necessarily agree with this video, but as a foreigner in Japan, it is pretty evident that the Japanese do almost 'thank' America for bringing a fleet into Tokyo bay in the 1850's and opening the country to progress by force. I've also seen Japanese public school history books, and they are pretty neutral and don't say that Japan was trying to liberate Asia or any other crap like that.
