  • This seems to be the version I love best. The best versions of all of Billie's song is on the album "Song book" If anyone knows where I can get that album it would make me really happy!

  • she must roll in her grave. lyrics back then "wish Id forget you, but youre here to stay, it seems I met you when my love went away" todays lyrics? "sippin sizzurp in my ride like a g6" The death of soulful jazz will never be forgotten

  • I was depressed when I was the only one in my English class who knows of Billie Holiday, I am disappointing in modern America, they don't know what they are missing.

  • @misschristaljoy all of you are just fans and don't know the real Billie holiday and she do have kids a son and a daughter,my great grand mother told a lot of lies, she left her kids at the babysitters house and never came back, and my grand mother and her brother went into foster care and became THE FIRST FOSTER KIDS IN BALTIMORE CITY they were even in the news paper back then........the truth!!!!!!!!! around 1943

  • @LAYVON20 Whatever you say, kid.

  • lady still singing the blues for so many of us..

  • ~perfection~

  • She lived the blues. She knew them well. Rest In Peace, Lady.

  • God what is it? Her melancholy is so melodious her sound is so mesmerizing, and it's like her music specifically is made for her only opening up for her approach you never hear chords the same as you do behind Lady Day.

  • Lovely . You can't deny her sound . RIP

  • I love Lady Day. She was the first jazz vocalist I've ever known to capture pain and sorrow in a song. I miss her.

    Rest Peacefully
