eric!! i think youreee ace!! im learning dutch at the moment because my boyfriend is dutch and im hoping to go and live in Holland soon (fingers crossed) i love ur vids! they make me laugh so much. Ive started with the basics (mijn eerste woordjes) and im now onto books aimed at 8/10 year olds.. its going ok! i have to say, learning dutch from books is the most boring thing EVER... u make it fun:) keep them coming Erics... thumbs up from england!!!

Awesome video you two. I think that my biggest problem I am facing in learning Dutch is the R I just can't get it to roll, do you have any tips on how to roll the R's and Do you or jill know any dutch songs to sing for babys their was one that my great grandmother used to bounce us on her knees and sing to everyone but no one knows the name of what the song is?

@shesakura moo-da... LOL!!! Now I know why Americans suck at German: your teachers are crap. (e.g. the German of the British is WAY better). I think you mean "müde" and that means tired. The "mü" is not pronounced "moo"... LOL! That sounds like a cow. But why are you talking about German? Dutch and German are different languages. The closest thing to German is in fact and ironically Yiddish.

what is the difference between 'ben' and 'heb' in your examples?

@Ronc303c 'ben' is used more like 'to be' and expresses a feeling, 'heb' is used more like 'to have' and expresses a possession. Ik heb honger, meaning i am hungry, would literally be translated to I have a hunger, but because it's more possessive it's used in the 'ik heb honger'-way. If you would translate 'i am hungry' literally it would be 'ik ben hongerig', but that's hardly ever used. If you still following my train of thoughts :)
