Oh, by the way Senators Reed, and Hagel who were with him on the trip in Afghanistan, and Iraq, are members of the committee. He probably got confused and figured if there with him then he can claim to be an honorary member. More than likely with his ego he probably figures he runs all the Senate committees.

I looked at the committee's web site Obama is not listed as a member. Not only does he not call for meetings of the sub-committee that he chairs, he apparently doesn't know which committees he is on, or doesn't think most people will check out what he says.
