You are going to use double bass as a reason? All you are using is both of your legs to use the double bass.... in my opinion playing with a broken arm and using your left leg as a snare while you use the other for bass is more skilled oriented and more co-ordination is required (you don't normally hit the bass and snare at the same time) Based on what you just said your justification is futile. Any drumming has to fit in with songs. This song is not difficult at all yes. Look at his other ones

I listen to both heavy metal and pop punk and travis can do more than the average (and that is creativity and how he manages to fit it in). I have seen it for myself. There are some old timers who i think are better than travis (neil pert or drummer from august burns red for example) but classing barker as the status quo...way off.

The people on here dissing Travis, are being assholes. The guy is just expressing himself artistically, and made this music for people to listen to for free. He's having fun, and giving people something more to listen to, which is very honorable considering most artists these days don't do that for fans, unless they charge something. @joshpeiffer1 there are plenty of drummers and musicians into all kinds of music. That's what makes a good musician, so it's hardly a unique thing. Plus, he's drumming to someone elses masterpiece. Other drummers who make their own songs don't have to put their spin on things because the whole thing came from their mind. The hardest part is comming up with a good beat and he just uses other peoples beats and drums over them. Theirs no point in being a drummer if you can't write your own songs.
@CAlexandriaR1 the thing is he does do his own songs... haven't you ever listened to a piece of music and thought "that's cool but I would have loved it so much more if the 'X' was more like 'Y'..." @bobina321 idk about that. i mean, it's your opinion, but i just think that if you were to truly see EVERYTHING that travis barker has done for the rock community, and not the hip-hop/rap community...youd take the overrated statement back. he is a great drummer but his impact is insane. on top of that it is a good impact.

@tdawgzatvt i've followed travis barker's work for years, and yeah he's really good. he's probably one of the best in his genre, but overall he's idolized wayyyy too much. not at all trying to discredit his skills, and i don't want to start a flame war here, but i don't think he's by any means the best drummer ever, like everyone says. but i see where you're coming from. and he does have a big impact indeed.

@bobina321 overrated? lets see you do that then come talk to me...he can play to virtually any beat...not many drummers can do that...they usually just stick to a genre and what their band plays, travis can play classical, jazz, heavy metal, lol even hip hop as you can see.

Dude I went to a NEWSBOYS concert in 1999 where the drummer played upside down, and he sucked. Listen to them. F) Playing with one arm means that if one of your arms got cut off, you could still play. G) Playing with one leg?...How many gigs are you gonna go to where people say "WOW this guy's a great drummer, but I wish he could play with one leg!"

@theradworldofchad1 The thing that makes metal difficult to play is that often in the type of music I like, the double bass drum is a different beat than the rest of the drumset. And you have to make that work in the song. dude, ANY DRUMMER who knows anything about drums could do what he does. End of story. keep sucking travis's dick.
