How can anyone dis on someone like this. I don't care if you're athiest or christian or muslim or whatever, this guy is amazing. Give him respect and cut the crap
@danielsnmrtn He isn't in uniform. He's wearing a t-shirt and jeans. There's nothing that says he can't share his life experiences. There's nothing that says that he can't share how he and his family dealt with the horrible catastrophe that altered his life.
I love this story... it's great, i love how he said that his experience defined him rather than destroyed him... we can all learn to do the same. His wife many also said a great thing about looking at the details and seeing God's hand in your life. Great Great GREAT!
Great story....he loves his country, his wife and his family. He overcame adversity and is content with his sacrifice. I see nothing for anyone to reasonably bitch about here. If you don't like this piece, just admit it: you're anti-Mormon, regardless of the person.
@TheConcluziioN Mormons are christians. We believe in christ. Yet not all christians believe in mormonism. We are a section of christianity like protestants and catholics are a section of christianity
wow. im so greatful for my feet now. about his cat...people chill out hes probably been doing that a long time...the cat loves it. like my cat bites and scratches me..in return i throw him up in the air.
I respect all those that serve. I do not think his service should allow him to proselytize. How about Pat Tillman, the ultimate soldier. Pat Tillman had a great life, Tillman turned down a contract offer of $3.6 million over three years from the Cardinals to enlist in the U.S. Army, and he died for this country. He was an Atheist.
Erick Lund, "After high school I joined the Army and have loved it ever since." No comparison. (I am glad he made it home)
holy crap people come on i thought the cat spinning was FUNNY! i couldnt stop laughing and apparently the cat doesnt hate him because he keeps coming back to do it again! :)
I'm not a Mormon myself, but I just had to stop and say thank you to this brave soldier. Even though he probably won't see my comment, on the off chance that he does, thank you, sir. It's because of strong, brave individuals like you that we still have the rights that we do have, freedom of religion included.
Thanks for fighting for our freedom and all of us. However, disclaiming that you happen to be mormon is irrelevant. Anyone that fights for our country that is atheist, christian, jewish, whatever, gains my respect. They are all people fighting for our country, disclosing your religion is not relevant to who is "good" and "bad"; and who lives and who dies.
@Fergaliciousfulness These videos have everything to do with being a Mormon or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Each video's sole focus is to get at the story that runs through that person’s life, and the thread of faith that is part of it. These individuals tell us that they find strength in their religious faith that enables them to endure their trials and even find meaning and joy in their lives as members of the Church. It's beautiful!
You're a strong man. It probably comes from your faith. I agree, faith is a good thing to have during the hard times. Actually, faith is even better to have during the good times. I feel sorry for those that have to struggle through this life with no faith. It must be hard on them.
So you were a machine gunner? How many lives did you take? You go into their land w/ your weapons & tanks, this is what you'll get in return. The difference though, is that you get to come "home" to a place where you can live happily, peacefully with your family. The families of the people you've hurt/killed... they don't get to prance away to a nice, peaceful home, their home is hell, their home consists of people like you, Mr. Machine Gunner.
@sadiyah88 shut up will you? you never sacrificed junk in your life so dont go pretending youre better than him. screw you and the mental ward you spawned. i dont give a crap if hes mormon but hes a soldier and i can respect him for that so if you dont want to be nice to this soldier, go spread your insanity elsewhere
@GetTheHook These video's sole focus is to get at the story that runs through that person’s life, and the thread of faith that is part of it. If the cat didn't love doing that it wouldn't go near him. Cats love to play and it is obvious this cat loves this guy and they have played together since it was a kitten. As for all the comments here like "animal cruelty" "cat abuser" and such are left by people who no very little about animals and/or by bigoted Mormophobes who always find something bad to say about Mormons. They're the same pretentious ninnies who write "I don't get it, what does this have to do with being Mormon". MORMOPHOBES
@tiakpark its just showing that mormons are normal people because there is a misconception that they are freaky cult members. it's not trying to convert anyone or explain their beliefs. Just clearing up rumors.
