ULTRAMAN - SNES Game Review

Oh man, I remember this total turkey of a title. I agree that it is without a doubt the worst title I've ever played on Nintendo's 16-Bit system, and worse than that I've actually got a copy. Thankful I didn't pay for it as it came with my Super Famicom and nine other games when I bought from the poor chap who imported it all from Japan and paid the extortionate import prices.

There are a couple that come close to this one though that are just as bad!

Can beleive some of my videos are 3-4 years old now... thats crazy!!

Also, as the game is so bad there probably aren't that many people out there getting excited about the thought of making a video of it and sharing it with the gaming community. I thought it was hilarious to hear your absolute disgust with the substandard quality of this one.

hahahah even i figured this game out when i was a kid. when the health flashes 'finish' you have to switch your power to SP and use ultraman's flash beam to finish him off.

I had this game!! One of my first Sega megadrive games. Me and my dad used to play it all the time. To kill the beast, when it says finish, you need to make sure your super power bar at the bottom has reached the maximum, at which point you can unleash a freeze beam that shatters the bugger.

The American version is way better than this version. Ultraman was one of the first games I got for SNES. The American version looks like it has completely different bosses too.

You should do a review on Taiketsu! Ultra Hero, which is another Ultraman Fighting Game (MUCH BETTER) which is for the Game Boy, get an emulator or something. The controls and graphic (for a gameboy) is much better.

Before you actually comment, I think you should read a FAQ or instructions. To finish, you must wait until the energy gets to SP, then when the bar says finish, (NOT WHEN HE HAVE SOME HP), use the finish and he dies. And when he draws a line down, its a ultra barrier. (It reflects atomic ray/ beams, but not fire back at the opponent) I would admit, the graphics and control aren't that great.

Thanks for this review, brings back memories... Going to the store with 150 guilders, roughly 100 dollars, to pick out a game... Ultraman... The title was doubtful, but hey, there are more games with silly names that are really cool.

That's how one tends to think before starting the game. The moment it is on all the hope you had is gone, dead! But the monsters suck too! I would almost think it is a hideous conspiracy to cause brain damage in young adults or something.. thanks

I never played this one, but I did play Toward the Future, and I actually thought it was a lot of fun...I seem to be the only person with that opinion though...

u play on emulator -.- i have it on snes and may i say its terrible but thats why i bought it and 2.99 =-D and now my collections up to 102 and this isnt the original ultraman game plus he has nutin to do with the power rangers theres a japanese power rangers

I imported this game way back in 1990,

people said it was shit but I still had fun with it.

You need to use a lvl 4 magic attack 'sp' to finish the monster

Dude, I've played ultraman on the SNES and I know how to finish off the monsters. When your energy bar fills up all the way to the top at level 4 and the monsters have a "finish" in their health bar , you unleash your attack on them. When I played Ultraman, it was pretty cool. I can't say it was the worst game but, it was a fairly decent one. You should never judge a game by its content and gameplay.
