  • (3:24) Alternatively, if the weight is really close, you can also move the tape inward, toward the hub, rather than trim tape.

  • Dont use ordinary nuts or if you do dont balance the propellers on them. Balance them instead on the outerpart of the screwhead since this is round and the other side balance on the threaded part since this is also round, never on an flat surface like the scer since this would create errors in the balancing.

  • Great work will. Thanks a lot! you saved me the $30 of a blade balancer, and got my micro walkera heli flying better then ever (using your blade balancing method).

  • at 1:18 you can clearly see that the screws are not round it must be photoshopped or something

  • @beatseeker101 Dang I was trying to fool everyone but I guess the gig is up.....you uncovered me.

  • at 1:11 you used the wrong screws is not round but flat? greeting from the netherlands

  • Hello. I'm just getting started into this size e-heli's. While watching this I kept thing that what if you used spray clear coat to ballance the blades. Do you think that is a good/bad idea? Thanks for the vid's.

  • @codyboy29108 Well in theory it could work but it would take much longer to get the blades to balance right and it would be pretty messy.

  • hi mike im new to all this and ive just built a trex 450 sport.I have installed the servos but am now trying to do the swash plate level.i havent bound the reciever to the tx yet but in trying to get the swash plate level ive move a servo!.to get the servo in its centre position shall i bind the tx then add the servo to the rx so that it goes back to its centre point?sorry to be a pain

  • hey is the gyro set up the right way? i thought it had to be laid flat?

  • Hey, do you know how can i convert Inchs to millimiter? i dont have a ruler like urs

so i cant measure correctly :(

  • hi which wire of the motor goes into which wire of the esc please. please answer soon, thankyou

  • @AfghanKnight007 It doesn't matter. Just plug them in...try the throttle...if the motor spins the wrong way just switch any two of the three wires and it will reverse the motor.

  • so will all t rex 450 parts fit on the clone

  • Lars wants some royalties for displaying his cd on this video

  • METALLICA YEAAHH

  • Just want to show off my cheap helicopter with my friends, some of them thinks that they have to spend more money to flight better. Do you sell this kits? I have bought two more kits for some who saw mine yesterday . There might be more people who wants more, especially if still 220.00. PLease let me know! Thanks again!

  • Yeah I'll be selling bare frame kits and RTF helicopters in a few more days on my site. MikeysRC

  • Hi Mikey! Just want to make a comment. Bought this helicopter and was disapointed about its poor performance compared to my Blade 400, TREX 500 and Hurricane 550. It was almost ok for sport flying but really bad for 3D not even with +13 -13 pith. I was thinking about spend more than a houndred dollars in new motor and esc , I was really sad...now Im really happy, the solution: CHANGE TO CNC MAIN GRIPS!!!!!! It makes a HUGE difference. Hope it helps the people you help with your videos.

  • Cool, thanks for the info. I didn't know they made that much of a difference over the plastic. So did you buy the EXI kit and put it together?.......or did you buy a different EXI pre assembled kit?

  • Mine is from xheli cheapest one, just took a look to one of your videos looking for reference about how to put the servos since theres no manual, I have a trex 500 so thougth it was very similar. Found your video very helpful Thanks! Im taking this proyect as a low budget heli for 3d (I can do some mild 3D) I cant wait for tomorrow to try with my eflite gyro to see what happens, Im waiting for a 60bucks gyro and servo some says works almost like Futaba GY401 and s9257. Will show video soon...

  • mikey...i love your Secret Samahdi blade balancer! Good choice!

  • =),....yeah I tried it with Hanson and New Kids On the Block CD's and is just didn't seem to work very well.......LOL.

  • want to know how the servos work out, may hold out for the raiden 12.3g servos at 4 times the price are they worth it?

  • I have been using the cheap HTX servos for years and have not had problems with them.

  • Hi Mikey I really enjoyed this series. I have a trex 450 and had the hobbyshop build it for but this series really helped me to understand the process. Next Heli I'm uilding myself.

  • Cool. You can save lots of money doing it yourself.

  • I watched the whole 9 parts at once now. And I'm angry about that I just ordered a Honey Bee King 3 :(

    Great Vids!

  • Lol youre a tuff guy when you can squese it with youre hands... cant call myself a tuff guy but i can do it (A)

Cant wait for the next one.

Must be hard work to upload fast and so detailed vid's Well must be a big help for ya that a whole lot of peaple love youre vids including me!

  • Yeah, I have already hovered the helicopter! but I just have so many other RC projects going on it's hard to get them all done quickly. I can't wait to finish this build series. I'm getting close.

  • alright mike,,when we gonna se this mutt fly???,I will put vid up of my clone ,mikey bird. nice vid keep it up,nuttcaze r.i.p

  • Cool, can't wait to see yours too!

  • amazing just amazing :)

  • Great taste in music too Mikey :)

  • Hi Mikey, yet another excellent vid - I'm going to do the build along with my father (his first heli) but he doesn't have any internet access. Is there any way i can download the heli build series as MPEG's and play them on my laptop?

  • Hi StonyRC, Well eventually I want to have all these downloadable as podcasts, but for now try this. Google search for "how to save youtube video to computer" the ezine article......about the third hit down on the search is a little tutorial on how to save the video as a flash file. Then they tell you how to download a flash player to play it on your computer. I hope that helps you for now at least.

  • Nice CDs!

  • Really great video once ahain Mikey! The information you give is highly appreciated.

    Cheers Grant (England,UK)

  • Gday from Australia.

Thnaks for our vids. I'm a newby with a Blade 400 (1st heli, ever). I'm progressing steadily (slowly) through my flying & LOVING it.

You have just saved me about $40 aust, with your CD case balancer. What a great idea. Thanks.

  • hey mickey i need ur help do u no a good 6 channel rc heli for about 100 to 150 i realy want 1 but i dont wana wats 300 bucks for 1 that i can crash

  • Hi Pilot1115 Go to xheli . com and look for the Esky 6 CH Honey Bee King 2 II they are currently selling it for $109 US I use to have one of these and it was an OK helicopter. Another one to check out might be the Walkera HM 22E Helicopter it's going for $129. BUT,......it NOT a belt driven tail heli so it's probably harder to fly than the Esky King.

  • Thanks mikey. Yet another good video.

  • great. i actually have a copterx. but nice info. thanks!

  • Oooo, copter X. NICE heli. Lots of metal on it =). What motor and transmitter are you using?

  • i had a esky stock motor but i upgraded to an exceed rc alpha 400 3500 kv with the 30 amp esc. but the esc gets real hot. is it suposed to get hot?? oo and i have the 72mhz esky radio. i used to have a belt cp but i upgraded because of a bad crash. best buy i could do to that thing.
