Wendi, I so miss the cons in my area. I'm finally getting back to my "roots" with ElfQuest!!! Thank you to you and Richard for never forgetting the fans!!!
Wow....just....WOW!!! I've loved this series ever since I was a little girl! My public Library had a couple of their comic books (in suprisingly good condition) and I just fell in love with them! I've even bought a few of the comics and manga and I recently acquired the Wolfrider's Guide to the world of elfquest. Their world is so colorful and beautiful; and the Pini's story has inspired me to try and start my own comic series!
@MakiaLink If I had to choose my favorite character...It would have to be Rain the Healer! I don't know why, but from the first moment I saw him in "Phantom of the Berry Patch" I just loved him! I actually even started crying when Madcoil killed him!
@1991Puck1991 Technically, they're a mix of both 'alien' and terrestrial origins. The High Ones were extraterrestrials, and the Elfquest Elves are their descendants.
the person that has illustarted that work must be the most genius artistic painter that lived in this world for millions of YEARS!. .. okej i maby asgruated a littel :D but it is really really good:P
I borrow out elfquest books from my library every time I go there. Honestly, the staff must think I'm a little weird. But I don't know where I can buy them, so what is a girl supposed to do?
Wow!! Love it to this day, startd reading those comics when we were like... 6 or 7 we think, we're now 29. Skywise and Strongbow always were our faves, though Khavi is immensely charismatic as well!
We can see why a movie would be difficult, since the comics and books just have so many awesome characters with deepened out emotions and characteristics, that a movie could never do right to it all.
However we also dream it will happen one day, and still try to promote EQ among all our friends! <3
I loved all of them, especially Skywise!! It`s over 20 years in the past now - a time, in which I had to learn that life isn`t an "elfquest"!! But moments like this bring a small part of it back to me!!
Nyan.. I just love Elfquest.. I started to learn the world og the two moon, just when i was been moved from my parents to a 'childhome'.. ( dosent know if its what people call it in english ) But I still love Elfquest, and have an idea about that I allways will do! :D
write about it. e-mail friends. blog it. hell send a graphic novel to actors with balls like ellen page, who grab good stuff and fight for it. this would be a great movie(s). the stories are magic. let's start now!!! let's make hollywood make a movie!!!
OMG ::swallows the lump:: I miss this so much. Being a parent you give up so much in your life because you just don't seem to have time to fit it all in. Then you go and see all you missed out on and it nearly kills you. A movie would just bring me to tears of joy. Now I am trying to get into the comic sean again. It is a part of my pst that I once again to be part of my future. This was so nicely done. BRAVO - BRAVO
oh joy! Elfquest! My dad bought and read all the comics, and I can't remember a time when I wasn't with them! I'm only 16, but EQ has been there with me since the beginning! I just love it! I even have the cute little Skywise throw cushion! Hee hee hee! Elfquest forever!
many many many years ago my then boyfriend turned me on to EQ. I let the boyfriend but kept the comic books. Now 12 years later my husband and I Still read these wonderful stories after we get the children to bed. These stories are magic. With every new stage in my life I read something fresh, something with deeper meaning
in between the lines. Thank you Wendi and Richard for many sleepless nights of divine wonder and adventures.
I was a huge fan of EQ back in the 1980s, it's great to see it's still going strong. It really is an incredible universe/mythos, right up there with the Rumiko Takahashi's "InuYasha" - action, romance, amazing characters, good and not-so-good. And as for a movie - awesome!
Dear Wendy and Richard, A coupe years ago I found the Elfquest graphic novels lying around my dad's home office and absolutely love them. More power to you guys.If you are to make an animated film all that I ask, or suggest really, is that you please don't do CGI for the movie. The art is so wonderful that doing it like 'The Incredibles' or what-have-you would take away a certain element.
Wow, elfquest is really on here. I was put on elf-quest about 13 or so years ago when I found the graphic novels at the library. I haven't seen any books since those times, but I never forgot. I loved it. It was so different yet traditional without coming off as cliche. I've always wondered why it was never animated. One Eye and Cutter's daughter are some of my favorites
..Can we point out what major fan-art there is too? .. I dearly hope for an animated movie.. And I daresay I would trade my Air Force duties to pursue being an animator for this. Even as an in-between. It would be a life well lived!!
To the TRUEFRIEND who introduced me to E.Q when we were kids. I never believed it when they said you were dead. After 21 1/2 yrs the clues were farthest from my mind. I didn't KNOW. Standing still Patamoc walker.
And I think I speak for all of us when I say MAKE A MOVIE. Cartoon, 3D, puppets, live action, stop motion animation, WE DON'T CARE. Just do it already!
You know what else would be too awesome for words? A legit ElfQuest video game. THAT would be SWEET.
Wendy Pini here. Dear, dear fans - the entertainment industry only understands numbers. Harry Potter is what it is because the "suits" could clearly grasp its huge following. Elfquest is a cult phenomenon. Richard and I have done all that two creators can possibly do with it. Help us by doing your part. Write letters! Blog your brains out! Let the big movie and video game companies know you're out there wanting tons of good Elfquest stuff. Make a big enough noise and they'll listen!
I must know what music this is, the vid of course is awesome because you and Richard are awesome. I've been a fan since the age of 10 and I am 35 now, I was hooked from the moment I read the first novel when it was given to me by a cousin and have not been able to shake the addiction ever since. Not that I'd want to. Thank you both so much for the imagination and creativity you bring to the world.
You are an inspiration to artists/writers everywhere. The reason most of my own artwork tends towards resembling "Elfquest" features a lot of the time is because I basically cut my artistic teeth on drawing Elfquest fan-art for hours on end in my bedroom as kid. I love you, Wendy, (and Richard!), you guys are my heroes!
Gorgeous. Elfquest has a special place within my heart. I first read it way back around 1989/1990 in high school. I also seem to remember a short story in the back of one of the graphic novels about the elves coming upon a modern human house and thinking it's an odd "cave-like" dwelling with a child asleep in bed...and well, the details are dim in my memory but that's pretty much all I can recall. If anyone knows what I am talking about, please let me know. ^_^

I don't believe that Wendy & Richard would let it go down any other way ;)

I'm on goosebumps..^^! Sigh...I wish there would be an animated series for Elfquest..My father introduced me to the books when I was very little..And I've loved them ever since! Thank you so much!
watching this makes me so excited about the movie and/or tv show!!! i can only hope that it eventually does justice to the amazing and beautiful epic i've loved for over a decade :)
if the movie ruins it, i fear i will cry. lots. :(
I go back to the original black and whites and waiting for each issue. I lived across the river from you, just south of New Paltz. This video is thrilling! "No brag, just fact"! Loved it!
Shade and Sweetwater to you both, Wendy and Richard. Elfquest has been a part of my life for about 23 years now, and I've come to treasure your work dearly. This was just stunning! I wish you the best of luck~
This gave me goosebumps!! It's been a while since I've reread all my graphic novels, that I started collecting when they first came out, so I think it's time to start all over again from Book I! (For like the dozenth time!)
