  • that is too close! that's weird!

  • crazy close! real final was 108-102... off by 2 points?

  • I don't remember the Lakers taking it to the hoop very much. I am sure there were a few that were missed but they were shooting mostly jumpers. Powe was just being aggressive and getting rewarded.

  • When a player realizes that they're not gonna call the fouls when you drive, it gives a powerful incentive to shoot the Jumper instead of taking it to the rim. By the same token, if you know that the refs are calling everything on the other end, you have a strong incentive to take more drives. My point is simply that the order of Cause-and-effect may not be as clear as you suggest.

  • I see your point but I just don't think they tried to drive enough in order to come to the conclusion that they weren't getting any calls. I agree the refs weren't that good overall but the C's got screwed on a couple of calls in the second half as well. Leon Powe came in and was aggressive going to the basket and got calls. That's what you've gotta do.

  • Damn good call... I hesitated to put money on it...

  • Took Bynum out.

  • Yup. Ha ha. I learned my lesson and remembered this time.
