There is a saying that you find something that works stick with it...back then Whitney was in better shape...while she may not be fat per se...her middle section (core/abs) are out of control and this is where she needs to regain control...The yelling in between sets...loud or excessive talking...and cardio....I promise you this with the right practices she CAN restore her voice...perhaps not exactly to where it was when she was twenty but certainly increase her wind and eliminate the cracking

This is probably by far for me the best performance Whitney has ever done of "All The Man I Need" ...

There is something that unites Mariah and Whitney when it comes to vocal changes ... somehow for some reason either clear or not .. both ladies began to have either vocal struggles with songs they sang flawlessly before or changing the whole singing of the song to ways that were not impressive ... and all this from 97 onwards ... I wonder why?

The best answer to this question I can fathom Fabian81 is a little complex...but let's eliminate drugs and alcohol..Whitney's history is well documented but Mariah drinks..maybe not habitually nevertheless alcohol dries up the vocal chords...CIGARETTES are like atom bombs to the vocal chords as well...not resting before performances...not warming up like they used to and a lack of abdominal core strength all added to age will diminish vocal quality.

Your comment: I don't appreciate Aguilera nor Lewis because I feel Houston is the best in the world for me. You aren't really saying that both can't sing like Whitney did here. It's all a matter of taste but they all have a very special unique way of delivering an awsome vocal performance to their music each one in their own way. As for the rest it's all a matter of taste and how much this or that singer has had impact on you. In your case, Whitney.
