  • chords 2nd and 3rd chords are aug? or m7?

  • it's hard to maintain that openness through all the situations described in this song . . . but worth it

  • Ha Robert Glasper... he is nothing like you would picture him from listening to his music. This song is killer! Is it in 11/8?

  • @GuitarGospelKeys1 13/8 :)

  • @GuitarGospelKeys1 Yes, please ignore traanncce2, it IS in 11/8. :)

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • Really enjoying listening to this tune. Love when the clapping moves to the offbeats towards the end.

  • @RionaSallyHartman I think they're actually just putting the same amount of space between every clap, but because of the odd meter it alternates between up and down beats.

  • @getupanddosomething yeah that's what I mean, it sounds cool

  • 11/8 !!!!!!

  • @garbaor Probably one of the most musical odd meter songs I have ever heard. This 11/8 is so musical that it doesn't sound odd!! Respect to all the musicians and vocalist involved with this project. Awesome album!

  • beautiful song and talented musicians, nice to see there's still some good music out there...

  • Does anybody have an idea what time signature this is in ? Anyways loving this tune !

  • @Fsdrak this song is in 11/8

  • @derricksax

Actually.. to be accurate... it's 11/4 =] if you've noticed there's a natural beat going in the song and it's a cycle of 11 beats... if the cycle ended between two beats it would've been called 11/8

hope I didn't piss you off lol =]

  • @ben4792 You didn't piss me off, I just disagree with what you're calling an eleven beat cycle...I am hearing an eighth note cycle that works out at 2+2+2+2+3 underneath of the groove. If you're listening to the bigger beat in the way I am, the quarter note is approx =110, so to my ear the "11 beat cycle" is undeniably ending between two bigger beats-take note that the melodic phrases are each starting off in eighth notes, not quarters.

  • @derricksax agreed

  • My gosh this is such a tune!

I cant stop listening to it!!

  • !!!!! love!
