  • Every time I hear an HKS BOV all I think is ricer, and when I turn to look I'm almost always right. This BOV sounds like a BOV should. Leave the HKS to the F&F wannabes.

  • All the people in this post that base how good a BOV is by how it sounds, are a bunch of fuckin ricers. This is the best performing BOV on the market. I'm getting rid of my HKS soon for one of these Synapes. The HKS flutters way too much.

  • *sigh*... Ppl complaining about sound... Hell, a bov is doing something a lot more important than making a sound! I would say this bov seems to be the most accurate so far. If i ever get a turboed/blown car I'll install a Synchronic.

  • sounds like shit...i prefer how the Tial sounds

  • is that heat coming off making those waves?

  • i can bearly hear tht thing but its cool cuz its nt shity n making u lose power lke the other guys

  • SRT-4 guys are all fags... stop trait pipping your cars and revving the fuck out of them. you fucks are worst then the honda guys....

  • @lennyauditt lol i heard a srt4 that sounded like a diesel truck!

  • @lennyauditt srt4 are basically straightpiped from factory. its a cat and two resonators.aftermarket exhausts for them are usually just bigger and takes the 2 resonators and just make one big one. and its no different from any other car owner in the world. enthusiats want to hear their exhaust and if you had a car that from factory had an awesome sounding exhaust you would drive around listening to it too.

  • wet fart!!

  • my ears hurt...

  • the sound of this bov so suck i love hks sound

  • I just got this bov but am unsure on how to run the vacuum for it. Please any help would be great. Thanks

  • Nice BOV! Question: Is there any risk of foreign matter (water, dust, garbage) entering the BOV, when under vacuum? I saw some other videos, and it appears as though the valve literally stays open when the car operates under vacuum, or when idling. I'm just curious.

  • I get lots of compressor surge with my bov (greddy type rs). Does your synapse effectively prevent/eliminate compressor surge? Where did you get your bov? Is installation easy? 'Sorry: too many questions. :( 'But, ever since I learned about compressor surge, I'm kinda' freakin' out. Thanks!

  • stock bov is actually made on the turbo.its an absolute must to replace if you want to make anymore power the mopar bov isn't really much better then stock but is ok if you want a near stock car with the bov sound or simply just get a coldair intake.

  • im a noob, whats the difference in this BOV and a regular?

    nice srt4

  • what you mean regular lol

  • stock

  • Its technically the same thing All blow off valves are the same they expend excess boost pressure. Its just that aftermarket ones can be changed to recirc or full vent which makes the woosh noise. Also you can get ones that can handle more boost pressure where as the factory ones can only handle up to a certain level

  • I cant find any mopar bov but i found the convertion that you put under the stock bov, will that make the whoossh sound?????

  • yes it will, its blows off at very low boost, it gets annoying

  • woosh noise will come from any BOV that has a trumpet and is on atmo vent

  • UP4SX, you can't vent a maf car, it will cause the problems you described.

  • I think I might need to get me one of these. My HKS flutters like crazy at low boost.

  • sounds like shit

  • Frog ^^

  • think it sounds like that cuz he blowing off at low boost or vac.. cuz other videos i heard sounded better..

  • Sounds like its on a go-kart in mario kart. these sound way better. i would blame bad vid quality. Synapse Syncronic BOV won SEMA awards last year for best new product or somethin like that

  • POS

  • how much the intallation for that?

  • because they eliminate compressor surge dumbass.

  • that pos bov eliminates compressor surge retard

  • i hope it sounds better in person...

  • can u put blow off valves on engine's without turbos?

  • nope

  • sure you could, would it do anything? no lol

  • idiot....retarded question lol

  • hope you plan on putting a filter on it, or you'll be sucking in dirt in vacuum.

  • Its blowing boost out of the BoV, why would dirt go in?

  • It's not. The Synchronic BOV is open in vacuum. So it will be sucking in dirt. There are two options: 1. Install the anti-stall valve, which effectively seals the BOV during vacuum, or 2. Install a filter around the recirculate fitting, so that you don't suck in dirt to the engine.

  • is there an option to make this bov recirculate..i'm trying to decide what to get for my GLI

  • Yes.

  • Yes it's a lot better then the HKS other then the sound. As performance and throttle response it's great. The thottle response has improved from idle and over all performance of the BOV alone is night and day. The HKS had flutter that was clear at all thorttle positions. The Synchronic has damn near none excpet if your in 5th gear floor it until it makes 18 psi then let off the gas...yea of course then it has some flutter. Personally I love the sound this BOV makes.

  • Fuck what these morons say, a blow off valve isn't for sound unless you're a F&F fanboy.. the Synchronic blowoff valves are sounding promising, is it a lot better than your previous HKS? Performance/throttle response well improved?

  • Cops out are here gay, they said it was my "exhaust"...currently it's stock I just cut off the resonators and welded a pipe in it's place...MPx 3" Turbo back has been sitting here...they sent me the one with a Cat., I ordered without just waiting on my Downpipe.

  • Proved my point

  • That's the point...only this one is a hell of a lot better. I don't care for any gay ass rings or chimes the damn BOV makes, the whole point to my car is power and efficiency not sound. Sure go ahead make neat sounds with all the bells and whistles on the car, just keep posting how many times you keep getting pulled. (Watch there will be some smart ass comment like "I never get pulled" )

  • I never get pulled : D

  • I never once got pulled over for my bov.

  • SOUNDS LIKE THA STOK ONE ONLY LOUDER

  • wtf??

  • THT BOV IS SOUND STUPID

  • yeah but it has no surge and is 1000x's more effective than most others on market. function over form

  • tshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, vom tshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, vooooooom tshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • I have the HKS and it's for sale along with a pressure pipe for an evo 8...this valve after a bit more tuning it works better then anything I have ever used...i'll post another video before it starts snowing here.

  • sounds like one big boost leak to me....should have gone with HKS...

  • I'm positive they had a BOV. You can't run 4.5 bar (65psi) of boost without one. You would destroy a turbo in short order if that was the case. I've heard many other racing cars with this exact noise. The Audi 5 cylinder turbo had this noise too, if I remember correctly.

  • I'm not an expert on the F1 cars but it could be rules and regs. that prevent them from using a BOV. If they do have BOV's and it still flutters it could be a variety of reasons. Since you said something i'm interested myself, if I find anything out I'll be sure to post.

  • u guys are knuckle heads!!! F1 cars are naturally aspirated! there are no BOV's on them, the sound u hear from them is prolly the hydraulic transmission they have.

  • I've heard many different accounts on what the "flutter" actually comes from. If this is bad, why can it be heard on the older turbocharged F1 cars. Aren't Honda engineers smart enough to put a substantial BOV on their F1 twin turbo V6?

  • Turbo flutter aka ("tubo laugh" compressor surge, blah blah blah...)simply explained it's the pressure that builds up in the intercooler piping once the throttle body is closed thus forcing the pressure back into the turbo causing the turbine to try to spin the opposite direction.. thus the noise you hear. It might sound sick, but it's all bad.

  • guysss wats turbo flutter..?like wat thos is do ..?

  • On the SRT-4 just the common driveability issue with part throttle boost, that can be fixed with some more parts but I have a bigger turbo setup i'm working on currently so it's not that big of deal to me. I'll post more vids soon.

  • do you have any driveability issues?

  • thats a pretty badass bov its completly differnt from a regular bov this one has no diaphragms and respondes ALOT faster and just about eliminate compression surge im gonna run this same one on my rb20 240

  • I thought that the 3td port was to be left open

  • it's def. diff.

  • Nice! Thanks for posting

  • lol u can c the grass under the car getting blowed on

  • it prevents turbo flutter almost 100%

  • Please people be smart about u'r bov you will get the sound of having a turbo.. But when flutter happen u'r hurtin u'r car.. performance wise. Think!

  • what mean by turbo flutter

    ?

  • is there anything special about that bov like does it do sumthing different then all the others..cuz it looks wierd to me? or do u just like it haha?
