All this disrespect and harsh comments towards the mk1 make me sick. I have a mk4 gti, actually same color as the one in this video, and I love it. But the mk1 is VW's ROOTS. Without it none of us would be able to enjoy our mk2's, mk3's, etc. I'd kill to own a mk1 right now. They have so much character and for anyone to refer to them as "shit", that's just ignorance. @Dettengines Its just a guess. Its an ABF 2.0 bottom end with a Ported and polished KR head giving it a higher compression ratio, with ABF cams. Its running on K-jet injection. Will get it on a RR in the near future, will probably have it running on carbs by then though.

My 406 3.0 V6 has 210 hp and it will totally rip the tires if I floor it in 1st gear. Never the less. Turning ESP/TC off will allow you to drive much closer to the edge because the system is so restrictive. A poor driver will get faster of the line with ESP/TC and a better driver will get faster of the line without ESP/TC.
