@pedekiller Nope. This RC plane weights probably around 7kg (full of fuel) and assuming it has a 60cc engine (typical at this size) its putting out about 7hp, so 1hp/kg. A good plane in the Redbull air race has about 350hp and weights about 550kg, so thats .63 hp/kg. Almost half the power to weight and these rc planes aren't exactly easy to keep aloft at knife edge.

haha I was JUST thinking about this with my Uproar 60 since it has dual wings and what would happen if one fell off. I thought in my head that I would throw it into a knife edge then slow down enough to hopefully get enough roll to somewhat land it........turns out I was right haha.
man what a great job .. a testimate to a fantastic pilot . I guess flying 3d will teach you a few things .. I couldnt have done that and im not a bad pilot myself . ill bet it was back in the air real soon after this video .. wow .. cool video

Nice Flying but I suspect a Totally Rigged Incident, you should see the Full Version, along with other simular stunts .
Some of them are quite funny especially the one were they SUPPOSEDLY drag a man under the plane and take off with him hanging on the underside.
Again all totally rigged , but entertaining.
One way of getting free Gear from F***** by running a Promo Stunt like that.
100% Respect for his Piloting Skills though.

@motormusic1 A real plane doesn't have the thrust to weight ratio that would allow it to fly in a sustained knife edge like this RC plane.

folks, the reason this was possible is because of the power to weight ratio. in other words the engine could lift the whole plane vertically.
