  • cute baby!

  • THIS IS INSANE !

  • Bashing 3 month old infants in the head with a hammer lol

  • u dont know what u are doing

  • unremarkable and boring

  • All these infant reflexes are old Primate remnants from a time when humans were more apelike and had to cling on to mother to survive

  • Dont rub the face for rooting, just steadyly touch the cheek with your finger pointed. But tnx for sharing the fencing..

  • you didnt do the moro properly

  • What a cute little guy! we are about 2 weeks away from having our first. Congrats!

  • congrats on being a new parent! your baby is adorable :)

  • awe, way to go little one! He did so good :)

  • so cute. thanks for sharing:)

  • Um...you said your baby was 1 month old. I'm shocked because he sees at least 3 months. I'm viewing this because I'm concerned about my 6 week old grandson. He doesn't seem to be focusing on objects yet.

  • Why didn't you do the one where you put your baby in water. Under six months they can swim

  • @davidfordapple, we'll try that next time...we're having another one in July 2011!

  • cuteeeeeeeeeeeee =)

  • Hi, I am a nursing student and I thought this was great. Thank you for posting it with the citations!!! So cute too by the way. I loved it.

  • Thank you for posting! I am a nursing student who is currently enrolled in Peds. Your video shows all the major primitive reflexes. By the way... according to my text Moros disappears at 4 months not 6 unless the child was born premature. Good job! You seem like a wonderful mom!

  • i love this video, i tried it on my baby!!!

  • Moros disappears by 6 months and it is different from startle reflex .... and the plantar grasp is totally diff from what u did ... kindly do not upload medical related videos if ur not completely sure of it ... since medical students may get the wrong idea ... but it sure is a cute baby ;)

  • Updated the description with a citation.

  • @jjarse2 - no startle reflex AND MORO REFLEX ARE SAME THING.

WE CAN ALSO CALL IT STARTLE REACTION. SO YOU WERE CORRECT IN THE VIDEO.

    THIS TERMS ARE USED INTERCHANGABLY.

SUDDENLY LOOKING FOR THE SOURCE OF SOUND -STARTLE - SIMILARLY IT CAN PRODUCE MORO (ALSO MORO OCCUR TO SUDDEN FALLING LIKE SENSATION.

    THANKS.

  • @jjarse2 haha I love your citation.

  • @birdsflyck No they are not get a text book and it will clearly state a startle relfex and give a discription and a moro relex and give a discription! Ask any doctor who actually went to med school to they are different, if there is no grasping in the startle relex in fact the infant extends their hands, in the moro it looks for something to grasp!

  • @shankar1415

    +1 for you

please, household mom's just keep your videos in your DVD storage.

  • @shankar1415 No offence but you should practice what you preach and fyi this is youtube so even if she was a lil off its not her problem if ''med students'' come on here to study they need to go to a professional informational website or study from a med book....

  • @UtubeDuDeDuh I don't know if you considered this, but it can be quite useful to see the reflexes described in books. Having said that, it's quite obvious when something is right or not when you have read the books.

  • verry cuute baby! whattaa good boy =)

  • Thanks for the help my daughter was born today.

  • You are dragging his foot to make it look like he is stepping.

  • The first and last steps are real but you're right...the ones in the middle were coaxed a bit. Nice catch>

  • u don't expect him to walk like adult lol

but the baby is clearly stepping his legs forward and also apart.

  • @Countygirl1970 - the concept there though is that babies have the natural reflex to walk and survive from birth and then later lose it. There is a great documentary called babies on national geo that talks about it.

  • this was awesome..i have a paeds exam tmr and this was very helpful! thx a million:)

  • Best infant reflex video on youtube, thanks for the help!!
