Very loyal, intelligent and stubborn (in a funny way) dogs. We miss our Malamute. I wouldn't recommend owning one of these dogs if you live in a hot climate and if you're going to get one get them groomed about 2-3 times per year or the amount of shedding fur will become very frustrating.

Wow, that's a lot of pups. They are so cute. We have a Malamute and Black Labrador mix who just turned 6 months old and he still is doing the whining and squealing. I've been trying to keep videos up on YouTube since we first got him at 7 weeks. They grow so fast. He's up to 50lbs. now. Thanks for the video manco68. Love it!

We rescued an alaskan long haired malmute from a sled dog racer who wasnt feeding him. The dog was the best dog we have ever had. When said said dog we went and adopted our 2nd malmute and he is just as cute and brilliant!

Great Video! We live in Alaska and have our Giant Malamute "Klondike, Star of the North". He's a giant furball of loveeeeeeeee!! Looking to put him out to stud. It's time for him to go on his first date! I highly recommend these dogs if you have PLENTY of time to devote to them. He is very high maint. LOL...and he loves to talk!!

I have one called miku he is about 10 months old now! but trust me DONT get one, they malt all the time, and its just takes the P!%$ so yano, hair all over your clothes and everywhere, there also ignorant when it comes to food, and very aggressive towards other dogs, but there very loyal and very smart. there amazing dogs, but i wouldnt get one.

@TaylaFerSure mine is an alpha female. Loves people, but tries to mount every dog!!!!! The shedding is a nuisance but she is so smart and loyal I would never suggest to NOT own one. BTW, I got mine from a malamute rescue place. Affardable and need good homes

just a comment about mals in general normal purebreds dont grow to the giant sizes and if you go to buy a malamute and it has anything but brown eyes its not purebred

I recently got a mixed breed dog this past summer and have finally come to the conclusion that he is an alaskan malmute. The breeder said he was a husky mix but he looks exactly like an alaskan malamute as well as when he was a puppy plus he acts exactly as everyone characterizes them.

Alaskan Malamutes are not Golden Retrievers. They have an independent mind of their own and are not pushovers to raise and train. They can be manipulative, and many are willful, obstinate, and dominant (they want to be the boss) and will make you prove that you can make them do things. You must show them, through absolute consistency, that you mean what you say.
