  • The string space (width) has nothing to do with scale (length). Its a junk guitar with a hardtail bridge. Thats why a Floyd Rose wont work. The body would have to be routed for that type of bridge.

  • @journeyquest1 Will the string space matter for a floyd rose?

  • You are welcome.

  • Nice guitar and pajamas there.

  • @PajamasandMore Thanks!

  • CAN IBANEZ GRG USE A WHAMMY??

  • CAN IBANEZ GRG USE A WHAMMY??

  • CAN IBANEZ GRG USE A WHAMMY??

  • I found the exact same things...before writing this axe off make sure to tighten tuners, use fairly thick strings, and set intonation!! Then it should work great!

  • jammies!

  • so im thinking of either this, or the speedster travel guitar, what would you recommended, im getting this for travel only, but im not sure how big this guitar is, vs the speedster, anyway just wondering what you would pick thanks

  • @whosnext1234567 I think it is best if you can play them both and see what you like the best. I think this may be cooler than the speedster. Good Luck!

  • @jeffmara do u think it can be installed with a floyd rose? i'm thinking to install floyd rose on my mikro .. what can u suggest?.. thnx

  • @sirkamla I don't know. I was wanting to do that myself. Since it is a different scale I am not sure the string spacing will be the same. You may want to go to your local luthier and see what his opinion is. Let me know he says! Good Luck!

  • @jeffmara ok sir thnx..

  • @sirkamla I'd recommend a Kahler; you can customize the string spacing on them, up, down, left, right, back, fore, etc...

  • @GenesisSalemXVI is it possible to change the neck of mikro with the jackson? do you think there will be no problem in tone?

  • @sirkamla Not too sure. The whole guitar is built for a smaller scale, so the overall size of the neck is smaller, too...

  • Thank you for this review. Cute little boy!

  • Mine cam all i had to do was tune it.I love this guitar so comfortable to play.I have no complaints so far is well made and sounds good.

  • @damageplan67 Dude you are lucky! I hope it rocks!

  • Can you had a wammy bar on it ?

  • @timothe221 I would like to add a floyd rose but I am not sure the string spacing will line up properly.

  • @jeffmara a floyd can be fitted... pick ups need to be changed for stage use...

  • @LuisMetalKid Very cool. Can you show us your guitar? did you have to change the string spacing?

  • @jeffmara alot of videos on my channel.... my black mikro has a floyd put on it... the spacings change when you change the bridge and nut with the floyd system... my other blue mikro pickups and tuners were changed, you need thick strings for good intonation with mikro

  • That sound you got going at arund 2:50, with the bridge pickups. Will I be able to receive that sort of sound on an Ibanez amp? I'm getting a package for 200, it comes with this, amp, case, tuner, etc. Or will I need that amp? I really want a metal or heavy rock sound out of it. Please reply? :D

  • @Kyuubi1589 Most likely you will if it has an over drive or dirty channel. Send me a link of your amp and I will take a look.

  • @jeffmara I'll send it in a personal message. I'm not even sure if its this exact guitar. Everything is the same, except it has dot inlays. It's a Mikro though. But ok, check your inbox!

  • ITS LIONEL MESSI!!!!!!!!!!

  • i thought it had a wammy bar on it

  • @sk8kidryan14 I wish.

  • @sk8kidryan14 Nope. The one your thinking of is the RG series... Or Gio.. I'm thinking Gio series though. :p

  • Is the Ec better then this one?

  • @MissMetalfreak I don't know what that is. Can you send me a link please?

  • @jeffmara I mean the ltd ec 401,

  • @AmeL0wns ltd is better but more cash.

  • @KirbyPwnsAll Yes Ibanez are good for Metal. or go with brands that have EMG's Like Jackson,Schecter Or any guitar with some EMG's! They are Good for metal And my schecter hell raiser goes PAST Drop c to drop b like nothing :)

  • I am thinking of getting this guitar for traveling and such... I really want a metal sounding guitar because i already have a les paul which is awesome but not great for metal would this do the job for a short time?

  • @jaxthehate11 well it depends on how you make your decision. With the price being so low, you really can't lose. It does sound good for metal with the humbuckers. The only thing to consider is that you have a shorter scale length than the gibson. If that does not bother you then get it. If it does, then just pick up a cheap epiphone les paul special so you will have the same scale length. I think they come with humbuckers and since it is cheap you can thrash it up and you won't care.

  • @jeffmara ok thnx! How much more is the normal size ibanez but same design? and what is it called?

  • @jaxthehate11 I am not sure. maybe 100 more.

  • @jeffmara Thats not bad! What would you recommend?

  • @jaxthehate11 you have to decide if you want to play a normal length or a regular length. I say go to your music store and play them both and see which one you like best.

  • @KirbyPwnsAll I have not tried it but maybe I will. I think there is some other review of the guitar here where it has a dropped tuning.

  • hey how did u get it for 60 bucks

  • @shawnalmeida1000 someone just wanted yo get rid of it i guess. you can make low offers on there.

  • hey, just wondering because i will get a new guitar soon. do you think that this guitar is better than the Epiphone Les Paul Special II?? thnx

  • @197Paramore197 lol i wanna knw the answer to this question..lol im stuck between this mikro and the epiphone special and im not quite sue which to go with... :((((

  • @197Paramore197 what did you get?

  • i just started playing guitar, and i got this as my first guitar, Ibanez Mikro is amazing, the quality, and the learning is so easy on it!

  • Great review of the sound of the guitar.I'm getting one soon as Uncle Sam gives me my money. Then I'll finally be able to seriously start learning tp play.I have a Dean EVO/XM neck sucks too fat.Not comfortable to play I too have smaller hands and the Mikro was so comfortable to play(In my case do basic scales ect) love this guitar and the ESP Hammett Jr.,Epiphone SG Express and Squier mini strat,as well as baby Taylor.3/4 scale are more comfortable for me to play.I'm an adult player too.

  • My son has the mini strat. I want to change out the strings and put 9's on them and I might like it more. I will probably do a review of it. I think it would also be cool to put a hot rail in it. I may just pick one up for myself on craigs list when I see one cheap. I am curious about the hammett jr. Thanks for the hook up!

  • PS when you get your mikro, let me know how you like it.

  • @damageplan67 check out how I moded it on my new video.

  • Crazy good little guitar for short money!!

  • totally!!!

  • totally!!! have you moded it at all?

  • No. I like it the way it is. I actually get some pretty decent cleans from the neck. I was surprised. At the pricepoint these come at, I would probably upgrade the hardware if I wanted to gig with it.

  • @frets99 check out how I moded it on my new video

  • @frets99 Check out how I moded it on my new video.

  • Another great Jeff video.

So were you wearing pajamas or was that just a bad pair of pants...

  • You don't like that PJ's? I thought it's something cool in a post Elvis kind of way.
