Unfortunately, there were NO aftermarket intakes in the market when I created this, there was a lot of trial and error during the process but eventually i got it down. This car was one of the first 4000 cars made, took a long time for parts to begin to come out, Fujita was the first to release their intake for the new Accord v6, which showed a performance gain for the manual v6's but an unfortunate check engine light causing the engine to run rich and lose performance for the AT

well if you got a power chip wouldnt it higher the top speed, i mean its onlt at 5500 rpm so it should top out alot higher than that my 2010 accord does the same thing.

@dsgballer Not really; all the chips you see on Ebay and such are fakes (if they actually work, it would only damage your engine for a tiny bit more power). you would really want an Engine Management System which probably wont come out for a while; AEM came out with one for the j30-j32 (and the j35 oddesy) because of old Civics using them for engine swaps

@DtoWnSux1 I prefer the 1994-1997 Accord f22b1 because they have a strong tranny (little bit of a long ratio but w/e) the cylinders are sleeved CAST IRON, they are a true VTEC not the i-VTEC bullshit. Last but not least, single cam torque much ;)

I used to drive around in a 2002 4 cyl Accord coupe a lot. I currently drive an 2004 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro...Sorry to say, I've got you beat in both acceleration and top speed. That intake makes your six cylinder sound mean. I don't care for the amount of wind noise that comes in your car at those speeds, I can cruise at 130 and still hear the radio at 10/30. Good High 20's Low 30K car though. Keep up the good work. You should make your own custom exhaust. That thing would sound like a monster.

Like i said before... READ the video info, or now you can read what i put on the video...

My 3rd gear hits ~105mph before it shifts. in this video, it shifts about 500 rpm too early, the car had a check engine light posting "Fuel Trim Too Rich: Bank 1 and 2."

Look at the video info and you will find i posted a different video. That is with the Intake Prototype v2. I will probably make a video of it's final stage later.

Read the Video Info..... lol.... and when you say faster as in having a higher top speed, the only reason it is so low, is because California Highway Patrol cars are speed limited to 130 (5 mph faster than this car)

Wont be out for a long time.. it will cost a lot since no aftermarket companies are willing to make a tune for our vehicle, it would be easier for you since you have a k24, mods for the k series are already out. Not much for the automatic J35z2 :(

It is limited at 125 for the police, so they can catch up to you and slow you down.

I have a brand new 2010 Accord Sedan & I noticed that when I put my foot on it, it shifts @ 6100 rpm when it should be shifting at 7k rpm...there a reason why it shifts early?

I should be able to hit around 145 to 150 at Redline (Transmition Limit). After than, I would have to modify the final drive ratio, or gears.. or just get a different car :D

yours must not have the electronic limiter or its set higher. if his v6 accord wasnt electronically limited it would hit 155-160 maybe more.

Probably wouldn't survive at that speed, would have to be a really level road otherwise ill lose control, when i hit 130, it was pretty scary when holding the steering wheel =/ need more downforce, that is why its set to 125, body is only good for maybe 135

It would survive just fine... Back in the day I had a 1998 Ford Contour SVT V6 5 speed manual & the top speed on that car was 143 mph according to the magazines... It took it up to top speed a couple of times. It was actually reading 145 mph & the car was as smooth as glass. There was wind noise but, everything else was fine & that's a 98' Ford Contour. A 2008 Accord V6 Coupe is a much newer, better built car. It would be more than fine.

You can shift down a gear in an automatic it is called D3. The accord is a 5sp but it will go into 3rd all the way to the limiter at 130+ mph in 3rd. Staying in 5th he is wasting about 1500rpm. In 3rd gear he would use up all of the tac and go into the limiter.

The rev limiter is set at around 7100rpm. Only in neutral it wont let it go to red line. I think its like at 4k rpm in neutral.

auto cars arent crap. auto trannys are there for convenience. and as far as them being bad for racing, i think thats wrong because now adays, there are auto trannys that are equal or even better then manual. take porsches or Evo MR trannys. theyre 7 speed double clutch auto. all u need to do is put ur foot down, and the tranny works beautifully. nothing wrong with that auto tranny there.

Make sure you have no air leaks, i had this problem before, but, if you have a laptop and an OBD-II then try checking the problem yourself! =D

My problem was "Fuel Trim Too Rich" aka Too much air coming in, ECU throwing in more fuel. That was my CEL, i kept on reseting it, but the CEL jumped back on at random moments, decided to just get rid of it and later on when i tranny swap, buy a turbo and get a tune.
