I have a 6 year old australian shepherd who herds geese informaly it's her job to keep the geese off our lawn and get them into the water. and she herds the geese not just chase them. I've always wanted to get her hearding tested but she is scared of cattle but she has never met a sheep before are there any herding tests that use geese?
I have two Australian Cattle Dog, they were afraid of cattle too when they were youg, now they are over a year old and love to herd cattle, they started with some sheep and the moved on to cattle, it took a while to show their instinct but now they are tough cow dogs (informaly). I wish i could have them well trained.
