ugh what is with this secret movie? I had my work mate try to convince me to watch it, however I have as much faith in this movie as cops have in psychics.
i'm a skeptic for sure, but when i made this vid i had a negative bank balance....put a ridiculous amount down to make on the list for the year and guess what nearly a year later i'm well past that amount, i don't think its anything magic, just if you state you'll do something or get somewhere, its more likely to happen sub-consciously you must aim for it...i dunno but it worked for me!
D: I've never had a negative bank balance, I'm way too frugal lol. But seeing as Im becoming an adult now, I definitely have less money to put in my savings :/ About the 'secret', I think its nothing special to be honest. People always have certain expectations when they attempt something that scares them (i.e. if I ask for a pay-rise my boss is going to fire me, lol). So they shy away from it, I think the secret is just telling you to seperate the expectations from reality. Lol that's mi 2cents

I never did it again because it is so powerful you have to be careful what you write down! LOL Take a look at a book called Flight Plan, by Brian Tracey. I'm working with that now and it works for me. The thought, the act, the journey, the future - does it happen simultaneously? ooooh freeekee LOL
I enjoyed the secret. really watered down version of some more advanced self-help out there.
Although you can visualise something, your actions still determine your outcome. Just had to say that because i get annoyed at people that say "all you need to do is believe".
oh, and when you write something down, it is just a dream, until you put a date to it, then it becomes a goal.

i think its the writing down factor, if u write a goal down it must stick in your head so you aim for it subconsciously. i know some very well paid website designers by the way!

I've read some of the book and thought that its rules and philosophies are pretty kool to take on board. You have to remember with the 'larger' things, they require consistent thoughts of attraction. For example, you cannot say to yourself "I want a new car today" and expect it to come into fruition Lol - a mate of mine tried that! You have to be consistent with it. As i said I've only read some becaus I've been swamped with study, but this has offered a bit of inspiration!

I will go check out that stuff you mentioned, now I too am fairly skeptical, and there are some things i find a bit airy fairy, but I do not assume to know all the ways in which things work, so i have decided on this one to be open , perhaps its pseudo science as you say so will look it up, I do think people tend to attract whatever they focus on, positive or negative, so would like to learn more!
I'm skeptical and hard to please and always try and figure out ways to prove that it doesnt work Lol. But, I guess that in itself is attracting thoughts of a negative nature thus falling under the idea of like attracts alike. yes you are absolutely right, positive people do attract success etc, but in my experience it has nothing to do with anything supernatural or magical,
A great entertaining book that goes into great depth on this very subject is "the Luck Factor" written by Richard Wiseman,
another of Richards' books "Quirkology" is also a great read,
there's an old saying: the plural of Anecdote is Anecdotes, not evidence.

I'm skeptical and hard to please and always try and figure out ways to prove that it doesnt work Lol. But, I guess that in itself is attracting thoughts of a negative nature thus falling under the idea of like attracts alike. I really like what you said about not assuming to know about all the ways in which things work because its more a less a fact that the skeptic and cynical man has to accept.

Someone has posted the first 20 mins of The Secret on youtube, I'll go and watch it. Have you read Masaru Emoto's "Messages from Water" or Dr David Hawkins' "Power vs Force"? Personally I'm a sucker for anything that Wayne Dyer writes.
