Yeah, you don't always want to take Patton too seriously in interviews. A lot of the time he's taking the piss. I had a friend about 1994 who asked FNM to sign his guitar, and he asked Patton to play it. Patton said "I can't play the guitar." Years later, I saw footage of him playing the riff to Malpractice on a video (which he wrote). He also plays guitar and bass on Peeping Tom songs. He likes to wind people up, that's just part of the fun...
