actually, Ne-Yo was first discovered because of his composing skills. He wrote the song " Let me love You" and famous singer Mario sung it. Then when he was given a chance to sing his own songs, he was also discovered to have a nice voice.

So, yeah, i think it is natural and okay for Ne-Yo to share his gift in composing. :)
