Converge started out with me thinking they were garbage. I then got Jane Doe on a whim. After a 100+ listens, my mind is still blown every time I listen to that album. Over time, Converge has become one of my favorite bands.

@BREATHxOFxHEAVEN im not sure, but i THINK it's a result of him playing a semi-hollow. it looks to me like a Rickenbacker, which would support that hollow-body theory, but then i saw a glare on his pickguard that makes it look very un-rick like. either way, i have a '72 epiphone semi-hollow and it sounds similar to that with the right settings. unbelievably thick tone.

This is why as an American, I only like a small number of metal bands, and not wanna be metal bands such as this. I listen to Scandinavian metal, and their shit is a lot better than this. They don't just hand out record deals like we do.

Second of all, this band has been around for about the last 20 years, and their album "Jane Doe" is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time. I dare you to find me a Scandinavian metal album with higher ratings than that album. And lastly, nobody gives a shit what music you listen to.

Neither is superior, its subjective to the individual. But yes, Converge<3
