Beautiful Belgian :) Or, at least a draft posessing Belgian characteristics far more than Clydesdale, which is a totally different breed of horse....still, NICE! :) :) First breed of horse I ever "rode" was a big Belgian gelding my great-uncle was showing at a local fair; I was just learning to walk at the time. I still remember the moment (after I'd walked with my hand on his belly from between his hind legs all the way to his neck- tickle tickle- big guy just froze and let me go; nice horse!)

@miskaffon I think it just possesses the same coloring of a Belgian, but the build is all very Clyde. Just a non-traditional color. The big sabino stockings, long cannon bone and pasterns, length of neck and body, and feathering all scream clyde.

You can see the donkey instantly going into a sideways submissive position as soon as the Clydesdale raises a leg at 0:53, so although he's trying to get the horse's attention, it's not in an aggressive way. then the moment the donkey submits, the horse turns his back, in a dismissive way, and goes to eat.

@BlindMagSoprano you would think so but they obviously don't I've worked with both belgians and clydesdales and worked for a year old a belgian breeding farm. That horse is clearly a belgian. Its head and neck and over all conformation, the feathering on its legs, its colour all say belgian.

@SweetPaladin I'm just saying cause the horse in the background looks like a Clydesdale. His coat is bay in color which is typical of the breed. Where as the Belgian is flaxen in color, which is chestnut with a blonde mane and tail. There are exceptions on colors for both breeds though...

I have a full size jack burro named Bonkey and a Belgian she tips the scales at about 1700 pds and she knows who the boss is, Bonkey. He just rules the whole ranch fearless in any situation. I love donkeys there just a blast to play with and have such Big Ears!!!

Well Poncho sure laid out the rules huh? And when Gus turned away then Poncho just strutted!! Donkey's have incredible courage and seem to herd any other animal (even geese). They are also EXCELLENT guards and alarm keepers. Its almost like the difference between a chihuahua and a St. Bernard. Little bottle of nitro vs. gentle giant.
