Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord! I'm sure that the people of God in the bible days were more radical than we are now.. David danced before the lord with all his might. What right do we have to come in God's house and act like we're at a funeral. God is not dead, so church shouldn't be dead, cold and dry either!!

Better question... where did he condemn it? IF we can display a 'worldly outpouring of emotion' over temperal things, SURELY we can display our jubilance in adoration to God. And to answer YOUR question, read 2 Samuel 6:14 (read the whole chapter), where it says that David danced before the Lord with all his might.
