As of late, I've been listening to a ton of old IF, Jester Race / Colony etc. But you still need to respect Come Clarity / STYE. ASOP might not be as good, but I feel that there newer songs just have a LOT more diversity and meaning. This is something I listen too if I just want to kick it, if I need some deep music, it's DEFINITELY new IF.

@S2YEscape I agree with you man. They are both different spectrums of their music but they both are really really good in their own way. I love new In Flames its why I listen to the old shit now. Don't hate me but I am not a huge metal head I just really love In Flames guitar they gained my respect instantly with that shit.

@prickenoveriTB when people ask me what kind of bands I like and when I tell them about In Flames I just feel....ashamed....In Flames is a rock band now...not metal. ASOP is weird. When I think about IF I think about Lunar Strain to Clayman era....but the rest think about STYE to ASOP era......that's not right lol

That's indeed very wrong, but you've got some points wrong.

First, it's not a rock band it's still metal but not melodic death metal.

Secondly, the rest think CC to ASOP and most people enjoy STYE and RTR but everybody agrees with that they are'nt the best of In Flames albums.

CC and ASOP are Okay, but dude In flames are supposed to be fucking awesome, not okay >.-

@BaraPontusUploads They are building upon their old stuff though. The vocals have improved, and their music has stayed consistently awesome. Thats why I don't agree with the fact that you feel ashamed to like them? They kick ass and always have whether the dude is growling hardcore lyrics or not and they are certainly still a metal band. The music is what defines metal to me not the singer. If they started tuning standard and covering guns and roses then I would agree with you.
