Chris is phenomenal. I have no words to express how amazing, beautiful, and talented these guys are! Just went to see them saturday and was blown away. what a great part of north carolina.
ANOOP RULES!!!!! TEAM ANOOP...start anoop looping and spread the word...watch the videos again and again and amount the viewers to 10,000,000...SPREAD THE WORD ppl..(copy and paste.)
The Clefs have never had a "lead singer" - solo parts for the songs they decide to do are auditioned for and voted upon internal to the group, selecting the best voice for that particular song. True - Anoop had lots of solos during his time in the group (2004-2008), but so did many others, and they still have many spectacularly talented soloists and background singers in the group today. I have put up so many of Anoop's solos because I'm trying to let the world find him and help him on AI.
I agree with you on that. i don't know if it was the combination of the changing stage lighting...and excellent harmonies...or what...but the key changes and perfect pitchness along with the stage presence this group has was a great experience for a song I already knew. musical instruments could not bring out what these guys did for this song with only their voices. This group should be getting more credit than I think they are getting.
Mellomel - I agree with you about the fantastic way they use their voices to provide innovative backgrounds for their soloists. In some songs they seem to use their voices in much the same way as handbell handlers do. I would like to see them apply their considerable talents to Sting's "Fields of Gold!"
From left to right in the AI shot, it was Matt Susong(early 2000's), Chris Melly(mid-2000's), DeMar Neal(early 2000's), and Andrew Avent(mid-2000's). Chris and Andrew have solos on songs on this channel.
This is my favorite Sting song. Ever. And I usually hate whenever someone tries to cover Sting/The Police, but these guys did it more than justice. :D

This is going to sound horrible, but after listening to the original the other day, I have to say I like the Clefs version better!
